Very delicious restaurant with a very calm atmosphere. The pasta dishes we ordered were very delicious although a bit too heavy and buttery. The rest of our order was very good and the service was very fast. Waiter was friendly.

We finally managed to get a table at Dal Bolognese—not an easy feat! We were seated outside in a charming inner courtyard, which offered a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere. The service was attentive and professional, fitting the upscale vibe of the place. As for the food, it lived up to the reputation. The pasta dishes were excellent, especially the classic Bolognese, which was rich, comforting, and perfectly done. The parmigiana was another highlight—flavorful and satisfying. The artichoke agnolotti had potential but was a bit too salty for our taste. Desserts were a strong finish, particularly the tiramisu, which was light, creamy, and indulgent. The crowd is definitely on the chic side—expect a very stylish clientele. All in all, a great spot if you’re in the mood for refined Italian classics in a polished setting. Just be sure to book well in advance.

Food is excellent, loved the starters and the Bolognese pasta is a must. Great wine selection :). Service could have been better and more attentive but overall was okay. I recommend it and would come back again

Everything was exceptional👌 The quality really surprised me. The pasta was clearly hand made and even the cheesecake was excellent. This restaurant was even better than some of the good restaurants I’ve been to in bologna itself. I would love to come back someday. The ambiance is sophisticated so you might feel underdressed if you dress casual like we did! Friendly and polite staff

It was a very mid to okay experience, food was alright but not good for quality to price ratio. Seasoning was alright, presentation was very boring and diner-style, far from amazing but not bad. I did not see the hype with the restaurant, also the service was absolutely horrendous. Waited 20 minutes to be seated, brought us mains first and then starters when it was EXPLICITLY told for the opposite, and we also asked for butter and they did not bring us any despite the waitress coming around our table 4-5 times (empty handed). They were running around constantly, confused and empty handed, despite there being around 5-10 waiters. Enjoyed for the atmosphere and location but for everything else, would definitely not come back again.

A great upscale restaurant close to the downtown of milan. Dal Bolognese is not exactly on duomo square but 700m away in a quiet neighbourhood and have an amazing seating inside the portico. They also have seating inside covered but the portico is amazing. Although we went Monday night the restaurant was completely packed. The choice of food taste and service very good and you pay a similar price. It is a fine dining restaurant. I have been before and the quality is same like the previous time.

The food was great, however, the service was appalling. As an American Italian, we were disgusted by the way we were treated. We were looked down upon and the staff pretended not to know English and laughed. They did not understand who we were. It was a classless representation of a restaurant and was honestly embarrassing from start to finish. The hostess at the front abandoned her post the entire night to fight with her boyfriend the waiter, and the butcher in the back kept appearing on main floor with his gloves still on touching plates that went to customers. Other customers that were Italian locals and regulars to the establishment kept apologizing on their behalf. Change your ways, grazie!!

My husband kept bragging about the dinner at Bolognese in Milan with awesome food, Bruno cucinelli and wall to wall gorgeous models 5-6 years ago and we had number of amazing dinners at Bolognese in Rome at the piazza Di Pablo so I was looking forward to this place and booked two months in advance. When we get there, It seems like a completely different place, perhaps even changed the location. Menu definitely not as good as last time. Discussing it with hotel concierge afterwards, I wasn't certain if it was the same restaurant but he insisted there was only one Bolognese. On the stand alone basis, hor d'oeuvres and anti pasta slightly disappointing but main course with sea bass and fruits di mare were excellent. Service was very slow and disappointing. They made a mistake on the bill too.

Wonderful atmosphere. Delightful, friendly, attentive but not overbearing service. Food selection broad and varied. Quality good but not excellent, worth the money though I would go again with friends or an occasion

Don't go here if you are a just gonna rag on about service. This is a remarkable restaurant and I have had lunches and dinners here with people and small groups and it's simply a wow experience...patience is essential and badgering waiters is not a good idea which is ok in UK or USA .. but here there is pride and quality. Everything on the menu is excellent the wines and after dinner drinks from the cellar are beyond. So I highly recommend this spot .
