Traveling in a tour group of Rome and Assisi, we stayed for 4 nights at the Assisi Dal Moro Gallery Hotel in mid-October 2025. Based on our stay, our opinion is that the hotel is a sub-standard, a “2 star” hotel.
There was no A/C (we were told that they had “winterized” the HVAC, so it was impossible to have A/C), and opening the windows for ventilation allowed street noise and pigeons - yes pigeons - in; there was pigeon poop on the inside ledge. Our room was small (even by European standards), and hallway noise was common. The room carpet was stained, with a slightly larger than tablet-sized TV, and an acrylic desk chair. When we complained to the front desk about the TV size, we were told that all the room TVs were the same size. We knew this was not true, as we had spoken with several other guests.
The bathroom was cramped with very limited counter space. It had no facial tissues, and the very small shower had mold in several areas - see photos.
Breakfast was limited in food and beverages. Dinner was mediocre with a few exceptions. The front desk manager was cold and brash. There was, however, a young man at the desk who was always very helpful. The hotel was far below what it showed/stated on its public website - e.g., photos vs. reality, no live piano music in the lobby.
