Super wonderful. Read the reviews here that said to go straight to the hotel (right across from the hot pot, which wasn’t quite hot enough for me that day, that’s nature!) — just 2000k to use the campsite to park, shower in the hotel, enjoy the warm, big, and super cozy lounge in the hotel. The woman that owned the place and welcomed me in was SO wonderful, one of my best experiences in Iceland.

Absolutely wonderful! Came here for the spring and ended up at the hotel. The owner that helped welcome me in was so lovely. The place is special, cozy, and exactly what I needed. Felt like home and like being welcomed by family. So appreciative, really loved this place!!

After 10 days traveling the ring road we came to Dala. Best stop so far in our journey. We'll worth the detour down the gravel road. .Rooms are nice, nothing 5 star. But as close as we have come. Rooms decent size. Nice bathrooms, beds very comfortable. They have a big pool, hot tub, thermal bath, petting zoo. Nice game room and quiet room. Restaurant had a great dinner. Small breakfast spread but adequate. Would definitely return, highly recommend. Easy access off the ring road.

I am giving this hotel and campsite a five star review because of the wonderful generosity of the gentleman running the front (I assume the owner).||Very nice campsite with small hot pot and stunning views of the valley. Quiet. Camping facilities are basic but provided weather is good, all you need - picnic tables, outdoor washing facilities, spacious washroom with good counter space. ||Best, however, was the helpful gentleman at the front. Woke up to find the car battery had died. Car rental company (Lotus) was totally unhelpful. Nicely told us that it wasn’t their problem despite our expensive insurance package purchase. ||The gentleman came to our rescue, making two attempts with two different personal vehicles to boost our car battery. It was a success but while waiting he added, “if this doesn’t work, I have an employee starting in an hour who knows everything about cars and is from this area. I’ll send him over.”||Such generosity, just helping tourists in trouble. 5 stars for him, who did this for free (he declined my offer of a 5000 Kr note at the end). 1 star for Lotus who did nothing in return for our $700 insurance package, other than provide a phone number. ||Clearly a hotel that goes above and beyond in service.

Campground was great for tenting. Very quiet and peaceful. Was the first night in our two week Ring Road trip that there was no wind, seems it may be protected by the valley and trees, would highly recommend. The family running the hotel is very kind and welcoming to people camping. It’s a bit off the main road but it was a great night to recharge near the end of our journey. Thank you for having us!

Camped at their campground. It's a great spot next to the hot spring. The hotel is beautiful on the inside with welcoming and accommodating staff. We were given access to the pool, steam room, and game room. The ambiance is amazing here and would highly recommend.

Really you can’t ask for more for a budget hotel ;) It’s remodeled from a school, so it’s super unique and spacious. Clean rooms, nice staff, and the amazing facilities! We enjoyed the outdoor warm water pool and hot tub. There’s also a game room, and a gorgeous hangout room. Right above the hotel, there’s a natural hot springs. Dinner here is also with reasonably good quality too. I’m surprised there weren’t more guests during our stay.

This place is incredible, the staff were so nice to my partner and I, and we weren’t even staying overnight! We were just hoping to escape the awful weather on our road trip and maybe use the pool/shower, so a super nice lady have us a tour, then charged us 1000ISK each to use all of the hotel’s facilities for as long as we wanted. We ended up staying a few hours, chilling I. their lovely games room, and having lunch. 10/10 would recommend if you’re ever in this corner of Iceland.
