"Swimming in Salty Tidal Pools Like a smaller scale Bondi Icebergs , there are a handful of whitewashed cement enclosures along the False Bay waterfront that are used as public swimming pools. Even in winter, locals plunge into the icy Atlantic water to start their day. The nicest pool is the pool at Dalebrook, located just before you enter Kalk Bay to your left. It tends to be quieter, has an outdoor shower, a little bit of a sandy beach area, and small bathroom/changing facility."
If you're an early riser looking for a 5h30 fresh start, this is the tidal pool of choice. But if you’ve had a late night and still grinding your teeth on the way home, a quick plunge will be just as good to fix you up. Aqua shoes will make your life much easier but not necessarry.

Dalebrook Tidal Pool is a beautiful and sheltered spot in Kalk Bay, perfect for a refreshing swim or cold plunge. It’s best visited early in the morning, as space is limited and it fills up quickly. The calm, clear water and ocean views make it a favourite for sunrise dips, but be sure to pack light due to the limited space around the pool. A great stop before grabbing coffee nearby!
