Dallas BBQ Rego Park

Place is okay. Be prepared to pay a LOT for small portions. Been here once and that was ENOUGH for experience. Ordered shrimp and fries to receiver around only 6-8 pieces. The price for that small amount is absolutely greedy. No thank you. Even Popeyes gives out more shrimp than this place. What makes this place 3 stars is respectfully only the drinks. Drinks are good. Probs the only good thing

Me and my partner had a lovey time! We did go on Christmas Eve so there were limited staff but Adam (our server) was AMAZING! He was very welcoming, attentive, and kind! And the food was very yummy and would definitely recommend :))

First time here. I was worried we would be waiting for awhile because a large group was ahead of us, but we were seated promptly. Our waitress, Tia was a real sweetheart and very helpful. I didn’t appreciate seeing the manager or whoever that was giving her an issue in front of customers ,very unprofessional. She was definitely one of the best servers I’ve ever dealt with. The food was great, came out quick and the cocktails were great. I thought they’d be watered down and sugary but they were good. The only thing I that wasn’t in tip top shape was the restroom. But that happens. I will definitely be back.

This happened today. We had just gotten our appetizer and a waterbug crawled out and made its way up the pillar by our table. (should have taken a pic, but i was too busy making sure that thing didn't fly towards me)Tried not to freak out, but the other table next to us didn't help. Once that bug fell and ran across the booth past my niece and nephew, that's when I freaked out. Good thing my sister got up or else it would have landed on her. Pretty much lost my appetite after that and we asked for togo boxes once the rest of our food came. The server was apologetic and offered us free wings, but I did not agree with how the manager handled the situation. I heard him say that it could have flew in from outside. Sure, the waterbug flew from one door, to another closing door. It's possible. It's NYC. Understandable, but avoidable. Either way, that's not the answer you should have said. I didnt like his vibe. And yes, I saw you talking and looking at us to our server. Not once did you try to fix the situation. You just gave us this look like we were gonna run out on the bill or that we were overreacting. We still paid for the food ($300+) and took it home, but it kinda ruined a nice family outing. As a food worker myself, I want to say do a better job. At least apologize. Hire some exterminators and do some deep cleaning. Maybe you should also bring up to your bosses that having carpet may not be the best for your establishment.

The food is tasty. Portions are huge, so come ready to eat, share, or ask for a to go bag. The service was a little slow but not unbearably so.

Unacceptable. I ordered food from here off DoorDash, I got baby back ribs and chicken and found this in my food. Absolutely disgusting.

The chicken wings are surprisingly good but the rib is a bit too saucy. The onion pie or whatever it is can use some pick me up as it’s just sad looking. I think this company needs to revamp their menu to look some what healthier. Green is a good color to start with. Salad is a joke. On a Sunday noon, the place is mostly empty and they won’t seat us until everyone is there. I can understand that if you actually have customer but seriously? The host is a bit rude by wave us like a bunch of tourists to our table. It’s a service business my friend. Yeah that just lost another star when I am writing this. Did you try to sell us a family portrait while we having a lunch that cost over $300? You already printed it out and can’t you just give to us? It’s cost like $1 to print and seriously. Learn some goodwill. Sometimes a small cost is worth it to afford a second visit. Sorry but no wonder they close down the east village location

This has been one of my fave spots since college and that’s been well over 20 years ago. Not much has changed since then. Food is still just as good as it used to be back in the day. There are some new additions like broccoli only tempura and my new fave fish tacos!!! Indescribably DEELISH! Not sure what kind of fish. Looks very is like cod. Fish is a bit on the large size but nonetheless good. Still a go to spot for a girls night, a play date, grab and go lunch or a good ole cocktail. The drink menu has definitely come up. So many delicious choices.

The Dallas BBQ early bird special is $9.99 for 1, or $17.99 for 2 people so not bad for a complete meal price-wise. Each person gets a cup of chicken soup (chicken chunks, potatoes, carrots); cornbread; 1/2 chicken (add $2 for double breast); one side. Dark meat was fine. Found the breast meat dry though, so had to eat with bbq sauce (kind of runny). My son asked for honey-basted (addtl $1) which helped keep the chicken moist. Crispy chicken sandwich meal ~$11 tasted alright accdg to my other son. Bacon mac n cheese was ordinary, @~$6.50. No free-refills for fountain drinks. Lots of seating. We went for lunch so was empty in the back. Located at Rego Center where there is a parking garage or get meter-parking in the area.

Yuck !!!!!! Never again! I went with a friend that wanted ribs. I had a portion of guac with corn chips. I have no idea what was that green mush but was NOT made of avocado. All served in a glass boul on 2/3 of raw shaved cabbage. Whoooooo had that recipe idea should not be in food industry. My friend loved the corn bread. It looked good but the ribs were warmed up ( I could see the bones with dark color, looking old... I'm a meat eater. I know when it's fresh and when is not ) slathered with watery BBQ sauce. I found myself looking UP. THE CEILING was pretty.... Ha ha But the tables, chairs and carpet warned off. PLASTIC glasses?!?!?!NEAHHHHH.... everything screamed BAD. As you go IN, the PULL SIGN is on the wrong leaf and as you go out the PUSH SIGN is on the wrong leaf of the door and as one can see that is there since the establishment was open. Service was EXCELLENT!.... But that's about it.

I felt nostalgic as I walked in. This place felt like the typical chain casual dining restaurant back in the late 2000s/early 2010s. The chicken and baby back ribs were flavorful. There wasn't much meat on the baby back ribs, but the whole dish was filling (mostly because of the potato). The chicken fell off the bone. The cornbread wasn't a particular stand out. The service was efficient, and it wasn't too difficult to flag a staff member down.

During my college days I loved the Dallas BBQ near my university! it was cheap, filling and delicious! Even though no longer in college and been back a handful of times to this location still feel the same. it's a great deal for good food. This location is huge though so has more of a big caverou feel. Service is good. Great place to eat before or after shopping.

Came in with a party of 6ppl, we order the basic menu, half rotisserie chicken with baked potatoes, burger and fries, chicken wings, fries chicken and waffles, chillie and some beers. You just can't go wrong here, the price is reasonable the food is pretty good and the service is good. Parking is a headache cause you have to park in the costco lot, so you know how that is always packed. There was no room for desserts, but everyone left with a full stomach

Waste of $100 ($79 plus tip) can't blame the waitress. After a long day of Christmas shopping we needed to refuel. This is a cooked medium sirloin to them. Shoe leather is softer, far from a "steak" ribs were dry, flakey cornbread. Potato was good tho. Ladies room is disgusting and had I used the bathroom before ordering I never would have sat down to order. Ladies surely you are not that gross in your own home. Dallas BBq please do better.

I used to go to the East Village location as a kid, and in my memory, it was a really good BBQ and large portions of everything. However, after many years, I would say the quality has gone downhill from there (or maybe it is just the Rego Park location?) I ordered a full chicken, which was super dry and small. I ordered a rack of ribs as well, not seasoned at all. If not for the BBQ sauce it was terrible. The bottom layer of ribs was so dry that the meat just stuck on the bone. The only things that tasted decent were the cornbread, baked potato and BBQ sauce.

I came here Saturday 12/14/24 to order take out I was so disappointed I ordered take out I always order the chicken soup this soup had so much carrots and celery and two strings of chicken no meat was really in the soup so basically I ate was carrots and celery for 6 dollars for small container I should got more meat inside I was so disappointed the Dallas BBQ in Manhattan they give you enough chicken in side your chicken soup !! Rego park Dallas BBQ need to do better I was just eating vegetables in the soup because they didn't put enough chicken inside the soup please satisfied your customers we paying customers and owners don't care they never addressed the situation of the problem in restaurant or on yelp unprofessional

VERY disappointing!!! It had been years since I had been able to come to Dallas BBQ, Ordered the 1/4 chicken, and this is what I got: burnt cornbread, and a chicken leg barely bigger than the fork (salad sized!) for $11.00!!!

I went to Dallas BBQ a couple of times and food here tastes really good. Food here never upsets. I got chicken wings, yellow rice, and cole slaw the last time I was there. Also I got piña colada and it was made perfectly.

Came here with my family. I really liked the vibe of the restaurant and the presentation of everything, especially the drinks (see photo)! Hospitable staff and our waitress was very nice. However, the baby back ribs and chicken my mum got were dry and they needed more flavor, and while my NY strip steak was cooked very well, some parts of it were rubbery and it definitely needed more seasoning. Mac and cheese side was very good, wish I got more. Might give this place a second chance next time I'm in the city!

I ordered from CAVIAR. I presume this is the location. Picture on menu way different, it was cold and meat on ribs were strands at best. Coleslaw so sugary I had to put it through the strainer. Cornbread was underwhelming too. Jeez.... (*Just saw that I went to this place 4 years ago and left another bad review.... Wish I read my own reviews first!)

After months of wheedling and pleading, I finally acquiesced to my boyfriend's demands that we experience Dallas BBQ together. This Rego Park location is conveniently located by Costco, Daiso, Marshall's, Old Navy, and Bed, Bath &Beyond. It's great for knocking out some errand shopping before or after dinner. The aesthetic and vibe here definitely reminds me of a Dave and Buster's. The space seems infinitely large, and was filled with groups of people laughing and having a good time. My boyfriend used to be a regular here so he took charge of the ordering. We ordered 10 pieces of the Texas Sticky Wings, a fan favorite. We paired that with a half rack of the BBQ Baby Back Ribs with corn bread and a side salad. They have an expansive drink menu as well, which includes Pina Coladas for lovers of fruity drinks like me. When the food came out, I was shocked. Everything was SUPERSIZED. The wings were twice the size of average chicken wings. Our platter of ribs was also quite intimidating. Somehow we managed to make a dent in his food as he sipped from his goblet sized Bulldog drink. The wings were AMAZING. Korean fried chicken is one of my favorite things to eat, but these sticky wings are a strong contender. The flavor of the sauce and marinade somehow permeates through every molecule of the wing. With its balanced, honey sweet, slightly savory flavor, each wing left you wanting more. Despite the sauce, the wings retained their gentle crisp. I think these would be a great party dish and look forward to making them in the future. The ribs were not as impressive. They looked slightly anemic compared to the supersized wings. The meat on the bone was lacking and they were grilled well. The color was on the pale side. I didn't like the cornbread either because it was way too soft crumbly. It also lacked the rich buttery flavor that I crave in cornbread. My only other complaint about our visit was the service here. Our waitress was really nice but she didn't bring us any water to start with. We were without water for most of our meal. I tried to ask for water when the food arrived, but though I tried to wave over other waitresses, no one seemed willing to help. Finally, we flagged down our waitress, but it took her another 15 mins to bring water. I don't agree with the practice of not placing water on the table for patrons right away and believe it should be a basic aspect of service. TLDR; Their sticky wings are amazing!! It's a fun, casual spot to have affordable BBQ and drinks.

Drinks were well-made and strong. Food served at a fair portion, not too expensive. Ribs were delicious. Seated immediately. Service was quick and attentive. A good-time-to-catch-up vibe on a Monday night. Good location with adequate parking after 7pm.

This branch is huge, on the ground floor of Rego Center, a busy Queens mall, right off the LIE 495. The room temperature is comfortable, that you don't need a shawl or light sweater for warmth, during the summer. down jackets to battle the air conditioning in the summer and shorts to fight heat in the winter time, is part of life in US, very wasteful. We've chicken steak ribs special, beef ribs and baby back. All are good. This time, it has a female photographer. Mall parking lot, no parking validation at this restaurant. Before we left, I ordered two more to go: beef rib and hot rib ... I think I've enough

We have our order down to a science. Chicken wings and a Texas style patron margarita on the rocks with fries and corn on the cob. Never disappoints!!

Anytime I come to NYC I always have to stop at a BBQs for a good meal and drink. It was me, my daughter and my brothers on a Friday evening like 6pm and it wasn't packed at all yet. We were able to be seated immediately after coming in. Lots of space and empty tables. Our server was nice and provided a booster seat for my daughter. I had a blue drink with an extra shot (I forget what blue drink it was) and my daughter had a virgin Pina colada. My drink was hittin for sure. We placed our food orders soon after. I ordered the half chicken w/ baked potatoe and my daughter had chicken tenders with Yellow rice. It took very long time for all of our food to come out which I didn't understand why since it was wasn't very busy. The food finally came and it was very good, it's always very good. The only issue was trying to close the tab, he provided us the check but was no where to be found for a while and i had to get up and look for him after waiting. I finally found him and we closed the tab and was straight. Food and drinks good, service not so much.

BBQ's has been our favorite restaurant to go to for years unfortunately they're falling off. One exercise drink with a shot would take you right where you need to be not anymore. The food is still good but sometimes they bring it cold. Service wise it's not as good as it used to be. I pray that BBQ's gets their stuff together and starts giving that good food and good drinks that they used to that created the brand. When I started going to BBQ's there was only one BBQ's. It was on 8th Street and 2nd avenue in Manhattan. Now there's more than 10. I hope BBQ's management is looking at this and they make some changes.

I've gone to this location in person maybe a handful of times. I can't complain with the service. The restaurants always busy, and the food always gets to me very quickly. Delivery wise, I use Uber eats or Postmates, food gets to me within 30 to 45 minutes, always warm, tasty, and presented nicely. My usual order is the baby back ribs and half chicken platter with french fries drenched in barbecue sauce. They started adding dividers of the food, not a problem for me, but I do miss having soggy fries. Overall, this is my go to spot when I want ribs

Dallas BBQs has a long standing in the NYC history of food. I was craving this for awhile and it was my second time visiting this location. There's only two reasons why I come here. The wings and the frozen drinks, these two items are top notch! Also the burgers are good as well and very flavorful. My only complaint with the burgers is that they don't seem to know how to cook them at the proper temperatures. I ordered a medium, it came out more on the medium-well to well done side. Sticky wings 5/5 Frozen Henny Colodas 5/5 reminds me of being on vacation BBQ Bacon Burger 4/5 One of the best places to get wings and frozen drinks from. Ironically I would pass on all the other food options. But you can't beat the wings, burger, and drinks. Next time I will review and compare the location in Times Square 4.5 Overall, however I'll round it up to 5

It's Dallas BBQ! This location wasn't as busy as I've seen other Dallas BBQ. I think they had close a section of the restaurant for a private party, so the ambiance was a bit more intimate. Service was fast and the drinks were strong.

This place is absolutely disgusting and the staff working here are just as nasty. We came here on a late night. The place was dirty. Floor and tables. I was very apprehensive to stay but it was late and we were starving. The manager took our order, short, fat and stocky old man. He was not pleasant at all and we actually ended up leaving before the food came out. This place should be shut down.

Grab a quick bite after shopping and ordered food for the next couple of days . Service was great and food and drinks arrived quickly! It wasn't too busy since we arrived 30 mins after opening. Will be back when in the area!!

i visited from another state and no welcome and first thing was said is no outside drinks and it was half drunk where is the welcome instead than calling out like that and not in a good manner.

Great for the wings and drinks! Besides that food taste like crap. To top it off don't hire ratchet servers who likes to give attitude. Nowhere to be seen after she took our orders. And I hate the fact that they add the gratuity automatically otherwise this server ain't getting no tips from me.

Got the best food for pick up since i have been coming here. Everything i asked for i got it the way i wanted. FYI, the timing on the web site to order is NOT accurate!! 30 mins wait time is not happening. I got my food in 1 hour and 15 minutes. If you are ordering for delivery definitely give 2 hrs ahead. So you won't be disappointed.

Terrible customer service if you call or try and ask for a manager they give you the runaround, I placed an order on line 3hours before a scheduled pick and still had to wait 27 minutes. I wasn't even busy in there, it ain't the first time for the bad experience by it will the last!

Very old and needs updating and a huge makeover. Everything feels outdated and dirty. The food is 4/10. Nothing great. And drinks are watered down and too sweet. Would not recommend

Service is 2/4. The wings are delicious literally you don't have to wait nothing because food come right away. So fast. The only bad thing about this place is the service.

First and most likely last time eating here. My server was super nice, she was excellent when it came to hospitality. The 3 stars was because of the kitchen and the person who serves the food. My entree was served half cold! I ordered shrimp, steak, and fries... shrimp came out hot, and steak came out cold... turned my taste palette off unfortunately... after a few ehhh bites I realized my fries weren't even served with my entree, guess the cold steak distracted me. Had to wait a few minutes for that to come out. Fries were okay I guess really oily and soggy, not my favorite kind of fries.

This place is only good for drinks and wings, the other food is horrible!! I went with my family last night we all order henny colada's (highly recommended) and wings for appetizers. Afterwords everyone ordered their main course, which was horrible. The steak was dry and had no flavor. The Ribs were OK. The the crab/shrimp bits were horrible. The rice and French fried were average and the shrimp was OK. If your looking for something good to eat other than wings do not eat here! But if you want a good drink and that is it, I would recommend.

The decor of Dallas BBQ is classic American style, old school and wide spaced, it's a perfect place for party. They served decent comfort & fast food with reasonable price and great variety. The best deal is the early bird before 6pm on weekday or 5pm on weekend, half chicken with sides, corn bread & soup priced $8.99 for 1 or $14.99 for 2. We had early bird deal, baby short rib, tempura broccoli and 5 Hennessy fried chicken wings with Pina Colada with Rum. The tempura broccoli and fried chicken were surprisingly delicious but the baby short rib was disappointed, only bone with little meat on it. The service was quite bad, the staff was reluctant and ignored what we requested but it was predictable in a chain restaurant.

I usually come to this bbqs. This is regular spot for me and my wife. The have some good food over there. I tell you we order from the 2 for $20 menu I would order the double white meat chicken breast with the honey glazed sauce on it. Along with the yellow rice and buttery corn bread what a good taste. It also comes with a small chicken soup that is seasoned just right. All for a good reasonable price.my wife ordered the rotisserie chicken breast and yellow rice and cornbread. And the drinks are pretty good and the prices weren't bad at all .the staff was great and they were very helpful .we enjoyed the atmosphere the whole time we were there .we will definitely Go back in the future

I don't dine at BBQ's, I usually come here to get drinks with friends. So, if you want to get "Lit" get the Henny Coolata or The Hulk in a Texas-size; it's on the money. I saw that they had Black Bean Burger as a Veggie option. Beware veggie and organic lovers... they do not make them fresh from the kitchen. They actually look like a "Morning Star" pattie from the frozen section of Wal-Mart. They weren't bad at all, I was just expecting it to be more authentic, but it was fine. If you love chicken try the sticky wings... I know it's addictive from trying them back in the past. My family and friends had a great time. Our server was amazing, she was really good at attending to our table. The vibe was cool for a Friday evening. Tear up the land - @ShaMuzik

Always have been iffy about this location and the food overall. Always come for the burgers and this time I decided to get a virgin Pina colada. The service was good & the food was cooked fine. The only thing I would have to complain about is the behavior on customers next to me...to take a photo one of the customers got up on the booth seat & put his foot on top of the table which then knocked over his friends drink & they had no care in the world but to say "Im a paying customer..get me another drink!" Sober or not customers shouldn't act like that & expect to get treated with respect.

Service was poor, our waitress took our orders and brought our orders and that was the extent of her service. She never introduced herself nor asked how things were going nor refilled on our water. She was in charge of the few tables surrounding us and I see her following up with other folks and refilling their water even though it was at the same water level as mine. Did she think I was in college and by default I would give he a low tip? I have no clue, but the service here was not good. The food? I thought my dish was pretty good, I got the chicken with waffles which had this honey base glaze to it, the waffles had scallion and a hint of cheese in it. Again, I liked it, but that was the only thing I enjoyed about this meal. My wife ordered the early bird special which composes of half a chicken, rice, and a soup. It didnt come with a veggie which was suprising, I thought it would. My wife got food poisoning from eating this, she had to make frequent visits to the bathroom and was throwing up for 2 days. We always eat the same things at home when we cook, however, however this was the only time we ate anything different. Could have been the chicken being uncooked or stored at an unsafe temperature or the scallions being dirty that was sprinkled on top of her meal. It was just horrible. From horrible service to horrible food, I'm sure I wont be coming back here at all. The name that appeared on my receipt was Adrianna, which spoke to other surrounding tables (she spoke Spanish to my neighboring table) and water refilled. She skipped my table numerous times. That's okay, I'll be skipping this business establishment during the many times I'll be in this area.

I tend to forget this place is here it's been a while since my last visit, figured it was time for an update. Menu wise they really cut the menu down this is a plus too many choices gets complicated. Drinks I had a #waproyale I must say this was very good, good flavor & decent amount of alcohol , also tired Beach ball , not bad but way too sweet & the Strawberry Long Island was decent as well all Texas size of course, this seems to be just the "right" size. Appetizer we went with the Sticky wings 10pc sauce on the side, now these wings looked like they were on steroids wow .. they were never that big? At least not how I remember them last either way they were delicious! Way too big ended taking most home. Main dish I had the Burger bowl salad this was good, nice dressing they gave me a ranch type. Pineapple grilled Shrimp w veggies & fries was not bad , fries were very good specially if dipped in the sticky wings sauce. Caesar salad with Shrimp good as well. Our waiter was very nice & attentive , this was a good experience we enjoyed our food & wings.

A staff dinner bought me to Dallas BBQ! I've heard good things about this place from NYC natives so I was down to try. This place is huge! The first thing you notice are the waitresses carrying plates with hefty portions of food as well as colossal sized drinks, and I wanted ALL parts of it. As far as the food goes, it was pretty standard. Nothing to really write home about, I wished that the BBQ chicken had more sauce on it, but nothing that a simple request couldn't fix; I need my BBQ dripping in sauce, and especially here because the rotisserie chicken was a bit on the dry side. I will say that the sticky sauce on the chicken tenders was bomb though. Their drinks will have you sitting right! I absolutely loved my Texan sized piña colada, it was fruity yet strong just like I like it. This place is alright with me, the next time I pop in it may just be for a Texan sized drink and a side order of sticky chicken tenders.

During this pandemic, Dallas is opened for outdoor dining and it was so good. My mom and I shared sticky wings with sauce on the side and baby back ribs with fries. Lunch sized is actually cheaper, make sure to get there before 5 pm!

Picked it up to go, I arrived early and the server at the counter was very attentive and made several trips to the back to see if my order was ready. I got the brisket sandwich and sticky wings. The sticky wings are enormous and heavily sauced and crispy. They were very tasty and came 5 to an order(I only ate 2 they were so tremendous). Now onto the disappointment of the meal. The brisket (if you can call it that) was almost inedible. I'm not sure if I received a bad batch but it had the consistency of a medium well steak. Nowhere near pull apart and I hurt my teeth attempting to bite it. I had to throw most of it away and ended up putting some chicken on the bun which was good. Very unfortunate as the sandwich was almost 19$ and for that price I would expect at least a somewhat tender brisket. The color was way off and had that multi color as if it was sitting out for days. For the price you can get much better BBQ and I will petition them to change the name of their restaurants as this gives the state of Texas a bad name. For shame! 1/10 will not be ordering again

The food is was great, service was great. Seating could have been a little more spaced out and, the rug under my feet was very sticky; which I didn't like. Other than the seating and the floor, I was happy with everything else.

Please be careful when ordering food for pickup at this restaurant. Just got an order of sticky boneless wings online and they gave my hot bbq wings. Called once and was transfer to someone in the kitchen who told me what do I want them to do. I told them I couldn't go back because I'm with two small kids and he proceeded to hang up the phone. I called again and someone told me that he was supposed to refund me for transportation. The person proceeded to transfer me again to whomever I spoke with before but that individual did not want to answer the phone at all. Very rude individual and not customer friendly. So disgusted in his attitude.
