Dalongdong Baoan Temple

One of the most beautiful temples in Taiwan with koji ceramics ornaments. This is an active temple so you can see people praying. We came after 8pm and I recommend this time for a peaceful and quiet experience. The lanterns give beautiful light when lit up in darkness.

Nice place to relax and meditate and pray for good health and luck. Part of the Unesco and top 100 Taiwanese preservation monasteries. Really interesting place to visit.

This temple is very big. There are three different parts and do not miss any of them. You have to walk approximately 500 meters from the train station. It is very beautiful and very clean. There is also a souvenir store. I needed approximately one hour to see everything. I wish I could understand all these pictures and statues.

This sprawling and amazingly beautiful temple complex has large temples and courtyards on one side, and sculptures and water gardens across the street. It is a popular place for local worshippers, but also a favorite photo spot for tourists. Plan on spending about an hour here to see everything. Be aware that there are often many worshippers bowing and burning incense, but don’t feel like you have to do anything other than enjoy the beauty of the place. Be careful not to get between the worshippers and the altars that they are bowing to, and don’t take any close photos of them without their permission out of respect.

The temple is about 10 minutes walk from the Yuanshan MRT station. It was a typically beautiful buddhist temple, well decorated and serene.

This temple is one of the oldest and most significant buildings in the Taipei area. The modern structure was completed in 1804. Be sure to visit the library located behind the temple, where you can enjoy a stunning view from the third floor.

Unique temple with a UNESCO designation that is certainly a highlight of any visit to Taipei. It is free to visit but can get crowded. The smell of incense abounds reminding you that you are at a religious shrine and cultural significance. Temple is easily accessible by subway of bus. The artistic representation of the sculptures is so colorful and ornate it reminds you of the high artistic achievements they have reached and made their culture so rich and unique. A must see in Taiwan.

Saturday April 26 2025 Best temple Of Taipei,beautifully decorated, amazing architecture. Full of golden ornaments . Lovely park and pond across the road. Excellent visitor info office. Crowded with foreign tourists. Great bakery across the main road.

Small-ish (not tiny), compact with lots of exquisite gold foil, classic Chinese art. The Temple has a unique Island feel with palm trees and and lilies intertwined. Each door or window you look out of presents another photogenic experience. Make sure you drop off a small donation when you leave.

This is a gorgeous temple that's a bit out of the main tourist areas. Take the red line here and walk ten minutes for a cheap way to reach this. Go during the week to have it mostly to yourself. Walk around back to see all the rooms around the edges. Pay attention to the ceilings and columns for hidden art detailing. It's free to visit.

Great place to visit when you are in the area. A grab bag available for sale at $NT50. Inside are incense sticks,crackers,paper ghost money. Be ready to spend about 20-30 mins.

Dalongdong Bao'an Temple is quite a pretty temple. It has a really unique atmosphere and I've been here twice and could swear I saw the same two people both times. From Dalongdong Bao'an Temple I went home via Yuanshan MRT station, which was only about twelve minutes' walk from the temple complex. Dalongdong Bao'an Temple seems to be maid mostly out of wood. I was really captivated by the detail of Dalongdong Bao'an Temple. There were lots of statues, paintings and frescoes present in the temple design - intricate and very beautiful. Longshan Temple is also very beautiful but it has a massive tourist following. Because Dalongdong Bao'an Temple is in Datong, it's in a real Taipei neighborhood it seemed like a much more genuine experience. I really saw people from the surrounding neighborhood visiting the temple - rather than just tourists at a photo opp. Dalongdong Bao'an Temple is beautiful and worth a visit if you're interested in temples.
