Dalshöfdi Guesthouse

Amazing little place. You're tucked away in the mountains on beautiful farmland next to a riverbed. You can hear the river at night. The rooms and shared kitchen are very clean and have everything you need. The only downside is the shared bathroom but it was also very clean. Highly recommend

WOW! This guesthouse is absolutely amazing. Hidden away 8km off route 1 down a gravel track is this fantastic guesthouse. It is remote and set in beautiful countryside. You enter into a lobby where you need to remove your shoes/boots. There is a boot drier which was much appreciated. You then enter a large communal kitchen, which was beautifully clean and well stocked with crockery and utensils. There are also herbs, spices, sauces etc for you to use. There is a large dining room off the kitchen where you will find home made waffles!! Delicious. And sofa and TV. The rooms are located to the left of the kitchen and each has a code box containing the key. The code was emailed to us prior to our arrival. The room is spacious with a seating/luggage bench and wash hand basin. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we slept well. There is a shared shower room which was powerful and hot. The whole property was well maintained, with lovely homely touches and immaculately clean. I absolutely loved our stay and didn't want to leave. Highly recommend.

The guesthouse is located in a remote part where there are not several options. The place is a good 2 KM or so inside the Main Street through gravel road, which is not bad to drive in. It goes through farm land. The place itself is kept very clean and has well equipped kitchen to use. Overall great value and noting missing here.

We stayed for two nights at this beautiful place and we would highly recommend it to all. A little off the main highway, this place has two rooms with private baths and a few rooms with shared baths as well. We had the room which accommodates four, with a private bath and a well furnished kitchen where we cooked our meals. It is run by a family who live there. The personal touch with home made waffles waiting for us on check in is really appreciated. |Check in was smooth with a passcode to access the keys. It is a tranquil retreat and an excellent place to view the Northern Lights. Do not miss the beautiful waterfalls just a few minutes walk down the road.

Gorgeous comfortable stay in this very homely guesthouse. The rooms and kitchen were immaculately clean. Well stocked kitchen. Free home made waffles for breakfast were excellent. Info provided on walks by the guesthouse. Extremely tranquil with gorgeous view from breakfast room.

We absolutely loved our stay in Dalshöfdi Guesthouse. We stayed in the one bedroom apartment with a cosy living room / kitchen and a separate spacious bedroom with 4 comfortable beds. It's a great place to explore the South-East coast with it's glaciers and icebergs. The family who owns the guesthouse is lovely and welcomed us with freshly bakes waffles. Such a nice touch. We can highly recommend this place!

The room space is good, but the bed and pillow wasn't comfortable. The kitchen was spacious and well equiped. Bathroms were clean and have soap, towels. Inside the room you have a private sink. There is a nice view outside, the location is remote from the main road but is like 10 minutes drive in gravel. We leaved by 10:00 am an NO WAFFLES FOR BREAKFAST.

We stayed here 2 nights (not consecutive). The space is so well thought out and designed. The kitchen is well equipped and everything is provided for. There is even a dishwasher. The owners were so kind to help us out with a problem. The waffles were amazing. There are plenty of hooks and a nice fan that is very useful when you have wet items from hiking in the rain! Very comfortable and cozy! Thank you again for helping us out! We had 2 wonderful stays! Would highly recommend!
