Everything about this hotel is old, not maintained and falling apart. We stayed in one of the hilltop bungalows. The wooden walk ways are in disrepair. The water barely heated up. The electricity went out at least once per night. The wifi did NOT work at all and when we asked the front desk, receptionist was short tempered and explained it was due to the weather. I highly doubt it was due to the weather as we stayed 3D2N and it was never fixed. The breakfast is below average. For the price you pay, this is absolutely not worth it compared to reports in Langkawi, Bali, Phuket. The surrounding nature was the only saving grace. Great sunset views. We wanted to check out and move hotels after one night but stayed as we already paid so much per night.

Where to start. Breakfast was sufficiently restocked during this holiday season. A big mess and long waiting times. The property itself seems to receive no maintenance which is visible all over. Outside and inside the rooms. The rooms (we had 10) that were all but clean, especially the bathrooms. When I mentioned this to the receptionist she didn’t say anything. Just repeated what I’ve said. No sorry or no emotion. Wifi in the room/lobby is sometimes on and most often off which is a thing for foreign visitors. The food for lunch and dinner is perfect! Staff is friendly. Location is amazing.

We had a wonderful stay at this resort. It is a large complex with all the facilities you could need, offering plenty of swimming pools and entertainment options. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, providing a very comfortable atmosphere. While the bathroom could benefit from an update in the future, it still feels charming and functional. One of the highlights was the breathtaking view from our room, overlooking the bay and sea, with stunning mountain ridges covered in jungle. The resort itself is filled with lush greenery, exactly what you would expect from Borneo. There are also lovely walking trails nearby, perfect for nature lovers. Housekeeping was excellen timely and thoroug and the staff went above and beyond to provide outstanding service. They were always helpful and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The only thing to be mindful of is that breakfast can sometimes involve longer waiting times. Some guests queue to pay, but in our experience, providing your room number allowed you to move through more quickly. Additionally, shuttle buses run regularly through the resort. You can either wait at the stops or press the button to request one, and we never had to wait very long. Overall, we had a fantastic experience here and would highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay in a beautiful setting.

I enjoy the natural environment there. Relaxing myself laying down just to feel the wind blowing, to see the waves hitting the shore, watch the sky... But disappointed alot seeing rubbish at the beach, and the facilities not maintained. I really hope that the management can do a good job in carrying out proper maintenance to this resort. Wish the resort is well-maintained and keep its standard. I wish could go back there again.

We managed our expectations due to low ratings given online. |The view from our Baruk Suite was 5/5. The design of the room was unique 5/5. |The beds were comfortable. The rustic bathroom was big with a cracked sink/ jacuzzi that does not work and hair stuck in its sewer. Furniture was very worn out. There is nice quiet hill top pool. Staff were nice and helpful. Food was ok. |Little info about the services/ facilities given during check-in.

We booked a Quadruple Balcony Family Room for 3 people via Booking.com, but were disappointed to find the room very outdated and in need of refurbishment. The resort overall feels tired, with public areas also showing signs of wear and lack of maintenance.||At check-in, we were told we had to pay RM150 for the third person, even though we had clearly stated it was for 3 guests during booking. Thankfully, the charge was waived after clarification, but it was still an unpleasant surprise.||We were also surprised that even additional amenities came with extra charges, which isn’t something you’d expect from a resort of this category.||The buffet breakfast was limited and the food quality was just average — nothing to look forward to.||The only real plus is the beachfront location and surrounding nature, which is beautiful and relaxing. But unfortunately, the overall experience doesn’t quite match the setting. With a proper upgrade and improved service, this place could really shine.

I had been looking forward to a relaxing weekday break with a friend from Miri. We were both excited for some downtime by the beach and pool, but unfortunately, things didn’t go as expected.|From the first night, the air-conditioning wasn’t working properly. It was really uncomfortable trying to sleep in the heat, especially after spending the day out in the sun. I let the front desk know the next morning we were exhausted but all that was offered was a late check-out at 2 PM. That didn’t feel like much, given the situation.|When I checked in on August 5th, I asked for a beach-facing room and was told to top up RM50, which was taken from my deposit. I didn’t mind paying extra I just didn’t expect to end up in a room with a faulty air-conditioner. I feel like that should’ve been checked before we arrived.|Then later that night, after dinner, things got worse. The bedsheets had a strong smell of men’s cologne. Since both of us in the room were women, it was clear the sheets hadn’t been changed before we checked in. That honestly felt pretty unhygienic and really off-putting.|And just before we checked out, the air-conditioning started making strange noises again. I had to call reception again, and the maintenance team came. They found ice inside the unit and said the gas had to be refilled. It took about half an hour to fix, and I had to use my own fan just to stay cool in the meantime.|With all these issues broken air-conditioning, unclean sheets, and not much done to make it right — the stay ended up being more stressful than relaxing. That’s the opposite of what I had hoped for, especially at a place that used to mean so much to me.|I really hope this message reaches someone who will take it seriously. I would appreciate a proper explanation and response. Being ignored after sharing all of this is disappointing on its own.|I haven’t received any reply to the email I sent yesterday about my recent stay in Chalet 307. I was really hoping someone would get back to me, as this trip was quite disappointing ,i would extend another night if its not disappointing especially since your resort holds such special childhood memories for me.|Thank you for taking the time to read this. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Very disappointed with this hotel. • I booked and PAID for a room with 3 single beds, but was told that the booking only covers 2 adults. The 3rd person had to pay an additional RM150, which is unreasonable and misleading. If the room has 3 beds, it should logically accommodate 3 adults. This rule was never made clear at the time of booking. • The air-conditioning was broken from the start. We had to wait almost 30 minutes just for maintenance to arrive. The hotel clearly suffers from poor upkeep, it feels like an old building with little to no proper maintenance. • Even after the repair, the aircon was still not working. We had to waste another 30 minutes waiting for a new room, which is completely unprofessional and shows a lack of concern for guests’ comfort. Overall, this hotel is poorly managed, outdated, and not worth the money. A very frustrating experience that I would not recommend to anyone.
