Damasca One is a charming spot located in the heart of Souq Waqif, one of the most atmospheric areas in Doha. The restaurant’s décor is beautiful and captivating, reminiscent of traditional Damascene homes and old-style Syrian restaurants, which adds a unique cultural touch to the dining experience.
The restaurant is spread over two floors and also offers an outdoor seating area for those who prefer to enjoy the fresh air and vibrant surroundings of the souq. While reservations are not required, they are recommended during weekends and peak seasons due to the high foot traffic in the area.
Prices at Damasca One are slightly on the expensive side, but they are in line with what you would typically expect at Souq Waqif. The food itself is delicious, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from, including plenty of options for vegetarians.
During the first part of our visit, the service was a bit slow, and we had to repeat our orders a few times due to the heavy crowd. However, once the place started to quiet down, the atmosphere became peaceful and enjoyable, accompanied by soft, beautiful music.
In summary, if you’re looking for a memorable dining experience rather than just a big meal at a cheap price, Damasca One is an excellent choice.

We visited this restaurant about a year and a half ago and had a fantastic experience — the food was delicious and everything was great, so during our recent stay we were excited to come back and even brought a friend along to share the experience.
The restaurant still looks lovely and the food was tasty, but unfortunately the service this time was disappointing. It felt unfriendly and inattentive, which really affected the overall atmosphere. Considering the prices here are quite high, we expected a much better experience. Sadly, it just wasn't the pleasant visit we remembered.

My party of 5 was seated right away for dinner. Servers were kind but not very attentive had to continue grabbing someone’s attention. Outdoor seating is gorgeous at night. Interior decorations are beautiful. Enjoyed our food (I had the Karouf Muhshi) and left decently satisfied. Seems to be a local favorite, the restaurant was busy. Prices were high for the portions received and the service rendered.
Beware of the cats.

Went to Damasca One for dinner after a long day of sight seeing in Doha (so we arrived around 8pm). Though seating was prompt and the atmosphere is quite nice, placing our order and getting our check took longer than it should've. To be fair, once we had ordered, our food was delivered surprisingly fast, which was very appreciated.
We ordered: fried kibbeh, hummus beiruti, beetroot muttabal, arayes, fatteh shawerma djaj, fattoush, cheese borek and mixed shawerma sandwiches. We shared everything, and everything was really delicious. We would happily return here.

We stopped here for dinner, 2 weeks ago.
We were seated on the terrace which had a nice view towards the street.
The hummus with meat was so smooth and the flavor of meat was great!
The portions are very big, I was sad that I couldn’t finish it all. I had a great dish, with chickpeas and bulgur and lamb meat - the meat was so tender and tasty. My friends dumplings were also interesting. The yoghurt sourness was a nice twist. The chicken plate shawarma (I hope I am not remembering the name wrong) was also good. The spices are not my favorite but my husband liked it.
The dessert was great, the traditional cookie filled with dates paste was amazing! The icecream tasty too.
The only negative thing, from my subjective opinion, was the pomergranate juice. It tasted a bit fermented and I was afraid to drink it.
Overall the experience was nice.

Excellent atmosphere, food is good , staff are kind , the design is made of the antiques which makes you feel the old good days of the syrian culture. Overall is a perfect experience dining in with them .

If you want the best Syrian food in Qatar this is the place to go. Great location in Souf, ambience is perfectly welcoming middle eastern. Food menu is vast and delicious. We went here for breakfast and dinner. Very happy with the food and service. Vegetarian options and they have a ramp on the side for wheelchair and strollers. Recommended 👍🏼

Stopped here for Traditional Syrian food at the recommendation of our tour guide. Was a great way to finish a day tour in Doha.
Kibbeh nayeh was different from the Lebanese style i am used to but really good as well. It is lamb and has more bulgur inside and not as cold. The condiments make this dish!
The Jidi Bil Zeit i ordered by mistake thinking it was more baked/roasted
Ore like oso bucco. I didnt realize i was on a stew page. It came out slow cooked in clear broth with olive oil and potatoes and mushrooms and eaten with rice. OMG it was amazing. Sometimes accept the mistake and try it. Could turn out to be a favorite!
Dont miss the tamarind juice guy just outside. Superb as well.
