Damasca One in Doha is one of my favourite places to visit — I come here regularly, and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, with beautiful Syrian touches that make you feel at home the moment you sit down. The food is always fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented, from their classic mezze to their perfectly grilled dishes. I especially love visiting during Ramadan. The ambiance becomes even more special, with warm lights, traditional music, and a peaceful, festive feeling that makes the experience unforgettable. Their iftar is generous, delicious, and always prepared with great attention to detail. Whether you’re coming for a casual meal or a special evening out, Damasca One offers amazing food, great service, and an atmosphere that keeps you coming back again and again. Highly recommended! 🌙✨

If you’re wandering through the vibrant alleys of Souq Waqif, Damasca One is a must-visit. Ambiance: The moment you step inside, you feel transported to an old, magical corner of Syria. The décor, music, and atmosphere together create a nostalgic charm that makes dining here more than just a meal—it’s an experience. Service: The staff are warm and attentive, adding to the welcoming vibe. Yes, there’s often a waiting time for seating and for food to arrive, but given the restaurant’s vast space and popularity, it feels like part of the journey rather than a drawback. Food: The dishes reflect authentic Syrian flavors, rich in spices and tradition. Each plate feels crafted with care, complementing the enchanting setting. Damasca One is not just about food—it’s about being immersed in culture, history, and hospitality. A place where patience pays off with an unforgettable dining experience.

This restaurant is large and seems to be rather popular, though being seated right at the far end left us a little unloved! We ordered the chicken kabseh and mixed shawmar, both were generous portions. The chicken was tad dry and i had to navigate around the splinters of bone, but the rice was delicious. In the mixed swarmah, the lamb was quite fatty, though the chicken was good.

I absolutely loved the food here! The restaurant has an amazing vibe; warm, cozy, and beautifully aesthetic. The service was quick, and we didn’t have to wait for a table (probably because it wasn’t rush hour). The portions were generous and perfect for two people. The staff was friendly and welcoming, adding to the great experience. Overall, it’s a lovely spot to enjoy authentic Syrian food in a relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend! 👍

We had a really nice meat khabsa — the mutton was slow-cooked to perfection and literally melted in the mouth. It’s not a spicy dish at all, but the flavors are perfectly balanced and rich. We also tried the strawberry milkshake and pistachio custard, and both were absolutely delicious! Everything was mouth-watering, and the overall dining experience was fantastic. Definitely a must-visit spot in Souq Waqif if you want to enjoy authentic Arabic flavors with a great ambiance.

The shawarma was fresh and flavorful, the mixed grill was juicy and well-seasoned, and the hummus was smooth and delicious. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable. The service was friendly and quick, and the outdoor seating has a nice lively Souq atmosphere. Definitely one of the best casual Arabic spots in the area. Will be back!

Had the privilege of visiting Damasca One in Doha's vibrant Souq Waqif, Qatar. This Syrian gem, tucked into the heart of one of the region's most atmospheric markets, delivers an experience that balances authenticity, flavor precision, and genuine hospitality—qualities that elevate it far beyond the ordinary. The terrace seating proved an inspired choice. Perched above the bustling souq, it offers a captivating view of the lively walkways below, where the evening light dances across traditional architecture and the gentle hum of market life provides a subtle, enchanting soundtrack. The open-air setting brings a refreshing breeze, transforming the meal into something immersive and almost theatrical. The cuisine shines with bold yet refined execution. The camel meatballs stand out as a highlight—tender, expertly seasoned with a harmonious blend of warm spices that honor Syrian tradition without overwhelming the palate. Each bite reveals thoughtful balance: subtle earthiness from the meat complemented by fragrant aromatics, achieving a depth that speaks to skilled hands in the kitchen. Accompanying fresh bread, warm from the oven and impossibly soft with a delicate crust, arrives as the perfect companion—simple, yet executed with such purity that it elevates every dish it touches. Value here is exceptional. Portions are generous, ingredients evidently fresh, and prices remain remarkably approachable for the quality and setting. This is not ostentatious fine dining, but rather a masterful demonstration of how heritage cuisine can deliver profound satisfaction without pretension. Service merits special praise. The hookah attendant, in particular, exemplified attentiveness and expertise. He ensured the coals burned evenly and at the ideal temperature, preserving the purity of the chosen flavor throughout the evening. His friendly demeanor and quiet professionalism added a layer of warmth that made the experience feel personal and unhurried. In an era where many establishments chase trends, Damasca One remains steadfastly true to its roots while offering consistent excellence. It is a restaurant that rewards the discerning diner with joy in every detail—from the terrace panorama to the final exhale of perfectly prepared shisha. A worthy destination in Doha's evolving culinary landscape, and one I would confidently recommend to those seeking authentic Levantine mastery in a setting of genuine charm.

Had a wonderful meal here, delicious food, fresh local bread. Plenty of seating. I chose to sit upstairs on the balcony so I could watch over the souk and be out of the chaos and it was a good choice. At times it was difficult to get attention of waitstaff but I wasn’t in a rush. Delicious, would reccomend.
