Excellent service, friendly staff with great knowledge of the dishes. The food was delicious and very creative. There was so much variety and it felt like it would keep coming! We were very satisfied.

This has been one of the highlights of our trip to Spain! What a nice hidden gem on a cold, rainy day in Granada! Every plate was an incredible experience of flavours and pairings I would not have imagined go well together. The servings may look small, but you will leave VERY full! This also gave us the energy to climb up all the stairs on our way back to the Alhambra! It is about a 12 minute walk.

It was an amazing experience! We took the degustation menu with the wine pairing. It was a big procedure of two and a half hours, 7 plates with the assorted wines, all from Granada district.

This is a high end restaurant about 10 minutes walk from the town centre. The whole experience was great from beginning to end. Naturally the tasting menu gave ample opportunity for the kitchen to be creative with both ingredients and presentation; both were delivered to a high standard. A special point of note was that we required 2 substitutions because my wife has a mollusc allergy. This was handled without fuss and the replacements were wonderful. We were really pleased we went for the wine flight. The pairings were initially bemusing but challenged us to understand how the Spanish traditions of Sherry style winemaking is much more integrated with food rather than just aperitivi and digestivi. So we probably drank wines we would never have chosen and learned from the process. There were also two conventional wines, a white and a rosé, that were exceptional. The staff are attentive and very customer centred. When we asked to slow the pace of dishes arriving, the response was perfect. A fantastic restaurant.

We had a wonderfully creative, tasty menu consisting of eight courses and a perfect choice of wines. The chef bakes a delicious sourdough bread and most of the ingredients are locally sourced. The host was welcoming and always found the time to answer questions or share little personal anecdotes. Thank you for a lovely evening!

Hidden on a sidestreet, this restaurant offers a fantastic set menu for a very reasonable price. Cream is the name of the game there. Beetroot cream in starters. Mushroom cream in mains. Pumpkin cream in the dessert. Also, a few surprises like salted tuna: I was expected either raw or seared, but not salted. We could visit just one restaurant in Granada. We chose this one. And we happy we did.

I chose this restaurant after doing some research about well reviewed places in Granada so me & my boyfriend went there to have a good culinary experience for his birthday. The food was … passable but some dishes were really weird. Anyway I could understand with a tasting menu you are not supposed to like every single dish but apart from the code-fish I barely liked any. I respect the chef trying her best, she did came at the end to greet and ask opinions. I need to point out many disappointing aspects of the service though. The waitress always seemed to rush us to eat and as she was observing how we took every single bite and whether we were eating the bites as previously instructed by her or not she would come and tell us how we were supposed to eat and did it in a very condescending way. Later she went a step further asking my boyfriend, whose birthday we were celebrating (and she knew it very well), she asked him loudly about his very short nails, telling him that her brother was also biting his nails…and she made this comment like she was my boyfriend’s mother. I found this outrageously rude and my boyfriend felt ashamed. I don’t know what was her intention but it really doesn’t matter… How in the world could one waitress make such observation of a client’s look or habit? Did we ask her why she was overweight? No, We didn’t because we mind our own business first and secondly it’s very rude! When the chef came to see us at the end I was so pissed of I was very close to make a complaint but hearing the chef talking with the people at the table next to us saying that she preferred to be at home than at the restaurant made me refrain to even start the conversation about the service. So if you go try this restaurant be prepared to get a dinner full of surprises.

We had a lovely dinner at Damasqueros. The service was excellent even though we don't speak Spanish. The food was beautiful and very tasty. Our favourite was pork with violet potato. Wine pairing was very nice too.

Yelp
This is a review just from the bar experience. I didn't realize until I arrived that their sit down menu was only pre-fixed. I was already full from my tapas crawl so I declined and sat at the bar. I decided to have my first glass of Vermouth in Spain here. It was wonderful. The staff treated me so well. I was even treated to a little tapa even though my waiter advised me they didn't serve food at the bar. I thought it was such a nice touch. The tapa I was given arrived in a beautiful presentation. It was composed of a white cold soup, pistachios, olive oil and 2 pieces of basil. Almost like a creamy gazpacho. I was very pleased. It was one of the best tapas I had that night. Needless to say, if you are considering coming here for dinner don't hesitate. Pre-fixed only!

Yelp
You cannot have a dining experience like this in the US for the price. It was us and one other couple for lunch today and that is a crying shame... this place is special. Use of flavors is inventive yet still integrates traditional Spanish flavors (such as ham). I have a salty sweet palate so I thoroughly enjoyed the entire pre-fix menu. (A bit salty all the way from the sardines with sweet potato to the coffee cream dessert). It was simply heavenly. Plating is well done, pleasing the the eye. The use of different plates was unexpected. Usually the fancy schamcy restaurants use the same boring white plates through the entire service. Not here! Good fun. Our server was charming and put up with my limited and terrible Spanish. She was delightful and didn't rush us and very attentive. Five stars there too. We ordered the wine pairing which were all excellent regional wines. Hard to pick a favorite but my boyfriend is a huge sherry fan and he loved the one they served us. The server was kind enough to bring the bottle back over so we could write the vineyard name down. (Currently researching if we can visit to ship some bottles back!) A lovely meal. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Hands down one of the best meals I've ever had in my life. Ever. Six courses WITH a wine pairing for only 59 Euros. The food alone would have easily cost $200 in NYC. Course 1: small salad with Iberian pork, eggplant and sesame Course 2: Gazpachuelo, codfish and local cheeses Course 3: red tuna, pumpkin and basil Course 4: Oxtail, lentils, shitaki and pepper Course 5: A bread toffee pudding of sorts with marshmallows, caramel and vanilla ice cream Course 6: fritter-esque bites with a chocolate nut fudge "chorizo" and a creamy rum shooter Everything on each dish paired so well together and the portion sizes were perfect. Not too small. Not overwhelming. Just perfect. The food was so good, I would have eaten here again the following day, but the waiter advised the menu only changes every week, so I figured I'd switch things up. (The 'one hundred thirty nine' written on the top right of my picture of the menu represents the 139th week of being in business). Overall, the waiter was very friendly, prompt, and professional, and didn't hesitate to slow down the food in between courses and showed patience when asked for recommendations for things to do after dinner. As for the ambiance ... very clean and classy. If I had one request, it might be that they turn down the lighting a bit. It's somewhat blinding, and for a restaurant as nice as this, you'd think they would want more of an intimate setting. But if that's my only complaint, I'd say they nailed it. Warning: the menu only consists of the pre-fixe. There is no a la carte menu so you're pretty much stuck with what they offer. That said, they do make it explicitly clear that they're willing to work with you if something doesn't appeal to you, or if you have an allergy, etc. Just ask. Another warning: call ahead and make a reservation. This place was booked on a Thursday night so I had to settle for Wednesday instead. It must be a nice to be so good a chef like Lola Marin that you can not only pack a restaurant, but also tell your customers what THEY are eating. Bravo!

Yelp
So far, so good. Pix can speak for themselves. Spanish wine pairings are interesting. Sherry as aperitif.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant in Granada. The aesthetics are impressive for the location, nevertheless the food tried "too much". The plating and decoration was impressive, but at times there were too many flavors on a plate (2+ strong sauces per plate), which made paying attention to the actual produce difficult. In our case, a specific fish was very much subpar. We tried the regular wine pairing and we liked it. OK restaurant, but I wouldn't spend my money here again.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! One of our favorite meals in Granada after being tapas-out, this was such a delightful treat. The weekly changing pre-fixe menu exhibits nicely balanced flavors with great preparation and detail. Especially loved their sardines, white fish dish and dessert.

Yelp
Damasqueros is a great alternative to the touristy or tapas-only eateries around Andalusia. The food was highest quality, very interesting flavors, and the kitchen created impressive substitute dishes for two items in the tasting menu that our table could not eat. If 4.5 stars were an option, that is what I would have selected because while the food earned 5 stars, a grumpy waiter detracted from our experience a little bit.
