Dame Tartine

Just arrived in Paris and the food here welcomed me warmly. Ordered the veal steak…so good! Service was quick and staff were friendly.

We came across this place totally by chance but what a find. People are incredibly nice, welcoming. The food, homemade, is really good and the meat was excellent. Although area is very touristic, it is the exception and it feels like a local restaurant. Every time we went, most customers were french people which is a great sign. The terrasse experience is really nice

The food was great. I had the veal steak with mashed potatoes and it was awesome. Kids had the beef steak and loved it. Honestly can’t remember my wife dish name but looked great! The staff were super friendly and spoke fluent English.

Great place with great food. I had the sea bass and a huge portion of profiteroles for dessert. So good. The place is heaving with people in the evening, it’s got a very youthful vibe and I like that. Great selection of drinks too.

I ordered a beef steak and was surprised when they brought a medium rare. By default in every restaurant I've ever been it's medium. Medium rare is still smth that I eat but it was unevenly fried and a half of the steak was completely raw. Although I was very hungry raw is not what I can eat. The waitress didn't even bother to ask why I didn't finish my steak. Overall she looked tired, unhappy and at the same time busy - she was the only one to serve all the tables. It wasn't a peak hour and only about third of the tables is not less were occupied.

Very good atmosphere. Not only the dishes were delicious, but also staff members in this restaurant were so funny. We really enjoyed at the first visit, and we went here twice during three days trip in Paris.

I really enjoyed my experience here. Walked in at dinner time and got seated right away by friendly staff. I asked about recommendations and they suggested the tartine, which turned out to be jamon and cheese on bread that was absolutely delicious. Service was fast and prices were reasonable. As others have said, great location too. Worth stopping by if you’re interested in a quick bite.

Nice welcoming and service. Better at the terrace. Interior a bit too noisy and small. Food quality: for tourists, let’s say. Medium.

It's a nice little eatery in a row with many others, looking out directly to the Fontaine Stravinsky. To the right is the Pompidou Center - the open space is under construction. To the left, is the saint-Merry, a Catholic Church.The charcuteries and tartines are delicious, so is my white wine. Jardin Anne-Frank and Le Hangar are near by.

We had lunch here and experiences tartines for the first tome. Tartines are basically open faced sandwiches. I had the Rachellete which was to die for. Great meal! I recommend anything in the menu.

Careless service at a cafe that, because of its superb location, has even less reason than normal to upgrade said service.

Great location near Pompidou museum. Affordable prices. Don't know a lot about tartines but I think it was OK. My friend ordered chicken with mushrooms and sauce. It was good but the rice a little bland. Great coffee. Really good service, they were patient as we were trying to communicate in french.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. Although it has now become more popular that I wish it were, I still love eating here. Anytime I have friends go to Paris, I send them here. Everything (almost everything) comes on or with TOAST, thus the "tartine" in the name. The atmosphere is relaxed and laid back. It's righ next to the Pompidou Art Museum and is very different from any other restaurant you have been to before.

I had mt first Parisian meal here last night - found via Yelp! I had a Marlin Tartare with a side of... I honestly don't know, it was sort of like cabbage, but citrus-y? It was delicious. With a perfect white wine! My mum has some kind of decadent cheesy toasty thing, which was delicious too and made me a little jealous, even though mine was great, lol. The wait staff were super nice and friendly too, and the square this place is on is really cool, lots of sculptures and a modern mural up against a dilapidated old cathedral they are restoring. Dame Tartine isn't as done up or as frou frou as some other cafes and bistros you might come across in Paris though, just fyi.

In my opinion, the food was just OK/average. Prices are reasonable and worth a a stop in if you need a quick bite.

this is a place i would return to, even if i had to ride the metro and have to change trains twice. freshness, panache, atmosphere and good food in a lively location it doesn't disappoint! no reservations necessary

Reasonably priced eats next to the Pompidou Museum and Stravinsky Fountain. The chicken in mushroom sauce and side salad lunch special was great. It tasted much better than it looked. Some servers were very nice.

Located on the plaza near the Centre Georges Pompidou, this unassuming little restaurant is almost perfect. We stopped in for lunch on our way out for the day. The staff was extremely friendly and fast and the food was great. Lots of families with kids as well which says it is a bit of a value for the money.

The recommended lunch choice near Pompidou if it were not closed for customers but open otherwise... so I couldn't tell about food, but thank you for the nice service...
