Came back to dine with friends after 6 years. Dampa is within the Farmer's Market premises so it's very convenient to buy your own seafood to make sure they're fresh, and have them cooked by any of the stalls in Dampa. We went to Sister Belen's. It was not busy last Saturday so we had buttered shrimps, kinilaw with lato, and baked scallops. Turnaround time was about 20 minutes. We liked how the dishes were prepared. The main concerns are ventilation and clean restroom. There are no soap and tissue paper.

The place was dirty, the food sell you for one kg but is 250 grams. The Coker was bad. Bad experience!!

They're open again at your service! For groups and seafood lovers, this is a great place to dine and hang out. The price is reasonable at first until you see the "cooking fee". The seafood price is the same with what's in the market but the cooking fee is quite pricey. Well, everything in Manila is expensive.. This isn't new🤭

Do not come to Ross place even if you have the money. You have to buy food in the Farmers Market and give it to the Dampa Restaurant. The thing is that the fish in the market is really expensive compared to the ordinary market. We are not even sure if the weight of what we bought is correct. And the raw food they sell is not even fresh. They just put ice on it to preserve it for days. We bought Lapu-lapu for 900 a kilo but when it was cooked, it smelled rotten. The restaurant we let our food cooked was not even a good one. And we paid about 3k in total just to get our food cooked. The fruits also were expensive than usual. Double than the price of the supermarket. Grapes are 400 per kilo but the usual is 160. The most absurd is they are selling “atis” fruit for 800 per kilo. This is a rip off place. Never come here. They will abuse you specially if they know that you are not from Manila. I believe that they intentionally rack up the prices.

Favorite restaurant- Sis! Just a tip, it’s cheaper if you buy from the market, and the stalls are just nearby. Favorite dishes - sinigang na salmon belly, adobong pusit, tempura, and baked tahong.

My Manila friends took me here, I liked it as I got to pick the fish for one of the many restaurants to cook, which is apparently a bit cheaper than ordering direct from the restaurant. However I will say that sauces in the Philippines tend to be much thicker than what I would consider 'traditional or classic' Chinese. They taste pretty much the same though, so I guess they just added cornstarch to thicken it. But maybe that's how the local taste is, so who am I to criticise. I will say that fish here costs way less than home (Bangkok). So that's always a plus. But I would definitely not recommend picking up your own fish at the adjacent market as it can smell well very very fishy. If you enjoy the experience, go for it!

Kinda shocking to see our bill. The food is fresh and delicious but kinda disappointed how they charge, it is not aligned with their price. Paid 2000 for 3 seafood we ordered
