My Manila friends took me here, I liked it as I got to pick the fish for one of the many restaurants to cook, which is apparently a bit cheaper than ordering direct from the restaurant. However I will say that sauces in the Philippines tend to be much thicker than what I would consider 'traditional or classic' Chinese. They taste pretty much the same though, so I guess they just added cornstarch to thicken it. But maybe that's how the local taste is, so who am I to criticise.
I will say that fish here costs way less than home (Bangkok). So that's always a plus. But I would definitely not recommend picking up your own fish at the adjacent market as it can smell well very very fishy. If you enjoy the experience, go for it!
