Situated in Dresden, this food place is AWESOME! The food is delicious, the place looks nice and especially the staff seemed extremely customer-friendly. Even the music setting the mood wasn't too loud, which could sometimes be a problem. I will definitely come back here at some point!

One of the best burgers I've ever eaten. Probably the best. My friend loved it too and rued the fact that he spent 7 years in Dresden without visiting it. I vsited for the first time when it opened in 2014. Then again in 2021. Same quality. Really delicious, be it the pulled pork or Seitan. Be it the furniture, decor, food... It all has the markings of being made by someone passionate. The service was excellent too.

Descent food for the starving travaller. They serve pulled pork burgers and ribs. They were out of french fries which seems wierd. Should be naturally accompanied with burgers. However it tasted ok. Cost around 15 euros with drink for xxl with some addon.

I liked the idea but frankly, I wasn't too impressed by the pulled meat burger. Too much sauce and too sweet. Doesn't taste like a burger to me, more like a sandwich in a burger bun.

Here you will find the best pulled pork burger in town. Also their ribs are very good. You can choose between pork, turkey, beef and even a vegetarian option. The food is of a very good quality and the variety of drinks offered fulfills your expectations for a place where simply wanna hang out with your friends. The whole conception is very thoughtful, especially the corporate design

Some of the best BBQ I've ever had! Dampfschwein does it even better than some of the BBQ joints I have been to in the American South. Big chunks of pork in a tasty sauce with delicious cole slaw (with apples!) on top. I ate here twice during my vacation in Dresden and would eat there all the time if I lived there. I had the Dampfburger (pork shoulder) on roggen brot both times. The sandwiches are a good value at only €5,50 - it kept me full for hours! They also offer pork belly, seitan & tofu. The atmosphere in the restaurant is really cool and they have free wifi if you like them on Facebook.

Even though the concept sounds great it didn't work for me. I had the pulled pork belly on a regular bun (because the waiter said that any other bun would take longer to cook as they were *frozen*) with cheese. The meat was precooked and served lukewarm in the burger so the cheese never melted. The pickled cabbage was tasteful and the tortilla was an absolutely delicious starter, better than the main but no one goes to a restaurant for the starters. All things considered, the whole experience was a bit disappointing. On to little things: loved the wooden crate tables but some of the decor was questionable, like the canvas with a photoshopped image of Elvis holding a riffle and Ronald Mcdonald with a Hitleresque moustache. Get it together...

First meal in Dresden. This places serves pulled meat burger of your choice of meat. I chose a plate of ribs as I was craving for it. It is a bit dry but the seasoning is very good. The appleslaw was a bonus. Super affordable.

These guys put together a damn good pulled pork sandwich! Just add cheese, hot BBQ sauce then grab a pilsner or two and you'll be off to a great start to an evening in Dresden.

This is a really cool place to visit with lots to look at and enjoy. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. It's burgers with a twist. Definitely worth it. :)

Pulled pork isn't really something you're expecting to find in Germany, but the few times I've come across it it has been spectacular and this time was no exception. Dampfschwein serves tender, juicy pork with apple cole slaw on what seems to be their own homemade buns. Not sure about that last part but I am sure that everything that goes into your sandwich is tasty. It's reasonably priced, too: one sandwich and and Astra clocked in at around 8€. You get plenty of meat, slaw and sauce for what you pay for. My wife and I came back twice during our visit to Dresden since it was very close to where we were staying. I would say, that the second time we went the pork didn't seem to be quite as juicy as the first time but we did come right after lunch was over so that could have factored into it. As a plus, the interior is cleverly decorated and the soundtrack is great.

I visited this local during my visit to Dresden. We were looking for something fast and tasty and it did not disappoint. I loved the style and decoration as well as funny stickers and Posters. I liked the pulled pork burger but the pork was a bit dry, however it was tasty nonetheless.

For my American travelers, don't be fooled by the "burger" tag. It is pulled pork/beef/turkey sandwiches. Delicious and affordable compared to many other options in the area, so would recommend if on a budget! No sides included.

It's a great place in Neustadt. Try dampfschweinburger, which is a decent pulled pork sandwich made from local ingredients. You can choose from different sort of buns, and there are also vegetarian options (Keinschweinburger). They have free Wi-Fi in the restaurant.
