This is a quality hotel showing its age in the lobby and reception areas. Our room, an executive deluxe, was renovated, reasonably large with lots of cupboard and draw space. The bathroom, shower, toilet and basin are in a walled area, nicely decorated. The centre of activity is around the pool, which gets very busy from the late morning. The pool closes quite early at 6pm, which we found inconvenient. It meant swimming before breakfast or forgoing it because the pool was closed after our day trip. The hotel has commanding views over Haifa bay and is a great base for touring Galillee. We went to the wineries in Zichron Yaakov, and across to Tiberias. There are great hikes abd parks all over to visit. As it was school holidays, the hotel had arranged the amazing mentalist Lior Suchard for an evening performance, free for hotel guests. The most exceptional part of the hotel was the enormous breakfast, which continued until 11.30am. The choice was incredible, the amount of food continously replenished exceptional. The staff do try hard to provide great service 👏. I stayed in for the buffet dinner one evening, which had excellent food, drink and great value for money. Of the two neighbouring Dan hotels on the same street, the Carmel is best. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay again.

I had a wonderful stay at the Dan Carmel Hotel in Haifa. The location is perfect, offering breathtaking views of the bay and the Bahá'í Gardens. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The service was outstanding — the staff was welcoming, professional, and attentive to every need. Breakfast was delicious and rich with a great variety. Overall, it was a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Haifa!

This was a short two night trip with grandparents, parents and teens. It was very expensive as its peak season and we took 3 rooms with a sea view and access to the executive lounge. Putting the price aside, we really had an exceptionally nice time. The rooms were lovely and lived up to our high expectations. Breakfast was delicious, with a large range of options and the staff attentive. The pool area was clean and not too crowded and we had loungers with shade with no fight. The executive lounge was an added bonus and we enjoyed it very much. Wine and drinks on tap and a nice range of light eating options. The views from our rooms and from the executive lounge were simply breath taking. Honestly, we were sad to leave this place.

We spent one night at the hotel. At the reception we were welcomed very warmly. Our two children received gifts. The rooms are very spacious and offer a great view. The pool is clean and cozy. We chose the buffet in the evening, but the food was hardly enjoyable and almost inedible. The service staff was also very unfriendly and inattentive. It was not worth the money. Breakfast was of slightly better quality, but still not what we are used to from other DAN hotels. The service in the dining area and pool was really very poor and not accommodating.

I came for three days ( two nights) |Price was extremely high because of the holiday at the time . |I would expect when one pays average of 750$ per night, |They will have at least a coffee machine in the room . |I completely understand the fact the hotel has kosher label meaning he cannot operate electricity devices during Saturday or holidays, |But the absence of decent coffee and breakfast was very much noticed . |Second issue most of the employees at the dining hall and the bar do not speak Hebrew, they didn’t know how to assist and answer questions, |Sam had the courtesy of smiling some just ignored .|When I ask for an omelette, the waitress send me to the shakshuka pot , when finally her chief interfere they sent me to a stand, where the cook was absent, where I stood for over 10 minutes, only waiting for an omelette which was made unwillingly, and to my surprise with eggshells inside,||I do want to note that the reception team upon check-in and checkout was very friendly, even though they were under tremendous amount of pressure because of the holiday , |The Night Shift representative wasn’t very friendly. ||Another thing I would think that worth mentioning| is the absence of power outlet in the bathroom?|In order to use the hair blower I had to plug it in the room with no mirror is available …||The festive dinner was beautifully presented very delicious and very diverse , again my only complaint is the absence of decent coffee . ||I can respect religion, but one would agree that in my own room I can do as I please, including coffee! I found coffee machines in much lower grade hotels, simple espresso machine would have been sufficient.

Dan Carmel Hotel, Haifa – 2-night stay, August weekend Overall, our experience at Dan Carmel was very positive, and I would consider returning—perhaps next time with kids. The hotel is generally well-maintained, and the rooms are comfortable with one of the most breathtaking views I’ve seen from a hotel, overlooking Haifa Bay. The pool area is relatively large, with plenty of seating, although not all shaded. Breakfast was exceptional, with a wide variety of fresh options, many made on-site, which we really enjoyed. However, there are areas where the hotel could improve. Check-in was the most frustrating part of our stay: the line was chaotic, unclear where it started or ended, and reception staff simply served whoever reached the counter first. Some personal attention at arrival and departure—like help with luggage on the entrance stairs—would enhance the guest experience. Breakfast felt a bit disorganized as well. Guests are asked for their room number, but seating isn’t always guided, and sometimes people took tables we had started using. With the hotel appearing fully occupied, it seems they may not be fully prepared to provide smooth service when busy. Overall, though, the positive aspects—especially the view, room quality, and fantastic breakfast—outweigh the drawbacks. With a few service improvements, this could be an even better experience.

You can’t beat the Dan experience no matter which location you visit, they’re a 5 star hotel for a reason. The Friday night dinner and Saturday breakfast offered delicious buffet options, with a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere. The hotel stay offers free snack coupons for kids, as well as 2 free entries to local attractions such as the cable car. Amazing views so request a room on a higher level, and the large pool area with kiosk was great.

Great hotel overlooking on Haifa bay and the Mediterranean. Excellent attentive service even in the August frenzy when overloaded with families. The rooms and interior are bit outdated but well maintained and give a feeling of a luxurious high quality hospitality experience. Highly recommended.
