Danao Beach

Oh my goodness, what a mess! Hardly any place for sunbathing. Hotels in the neighboorhood will not allow you to use the pool even if you want to drink or eat there. Although you can buy access to the pool. These are the moments when I miss the standards of Thailand. Have a look at the pictures...

Danao Beach in Panglao is not really a beach at all. it is actually a graveyard for damaged and destroyed boats along with an awful amount of rubbish, especially plastic bottles from disgusting coca cola and other Nestlé products! #boycottnestle #boycottcocacola

Not a beach for sure. It’s a dirty docking spot for boats.

Were here, December 2021 after the town was hit and devastated by typhoon Odette. A bit laid back compare to Alona beach.

Perhaps I simply visited the beach at the wrong time and tide, but it is an understatement to say it was a disappointment as I certainly did not come across a picturesque beach with white sand. It seemed more like a docking place for boats, and the beach came across as dirty. I was told the beach is more for hotels nearby, so I would not advise to go here as a visitor. Having said that, it might be better at different time and tide, but not my experience.
