I booked two rooms for my family, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from the start. We arrived at the hotel at 4:00 PM, only to find that the rooms were not ready. The receptionist claimed this was because I had made the booking on the same day. After about an hour, we were finally given one room, and the second room followed some time later.
To make matters worse, the two rooms were not located near each other. I noticed the room next to mine was empty, and the housekeeping staff confirmed it hadn’t been occupied. However, when I requested it at the front desk, the receptionist was dismissive and said, “Did you check the room yourself? It’s already booked.” She didn’t even check the system or make an effort to assist.
The corridor and the rooms smelled strongly of smoke, which was very unpleasant. I reported it to the front desk and was told that cleaning staff would be sent to address it, but no one ever came. I suspect one of the rooms near us was a smoking room, contributing to the issue.
The swimming pool was also a letdown. Access was difficult, especially for families with kids, as the stairs were steep and the simpler entrances were closed. On top of that, children under 16 were not allowed in the olympic pool, even if they knew how to swim.
Dinner was particularly disappointing. The buffet was below 1-star—limited variety, poor taste, low quality, and very small portions. The restaurant itself was also too small to accommodate guests properly.
Breakfast was slightly better, but again, the experience was chaotic. There weren’t enough staff, and guests had to serve themselves everything, including basic items like spoons, forks, tea, and drinks. There was no organization or support.
Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing stay. The service, facilities, and overall management did not meet even basic expectations.
