Danat Al Bahar BBQ Fish

A super popular seafood restaurant located in Souq Waqif. I often go to Souq Al Wakra too but this place is more tourist oriented, so the prices are a bit higher. All the fish is fresh and delicious. They do have a menu but since the available fish changes every day, you usually choose by looking at the actual seafood. It’s always crowded, so making a reservation in advance is a must. The terrace seats with a view of the souq are especially popular. During Ramadan, they offer free water, juice, and a fruit platter and the dates were seriously amazing.

The restaurant is a cozy little establishment with a relaxed atmosphere. The fish is fresh and very deliciously prepared. The fish is grilled and marinated, and you can choose how spicy you want it. Rice and salad have to be ordered separately, and the meal is quite filling. The downside is that there is usually a line, so you have to put your name on a waiting list and wait. We waited about half an hour. I would come back anytime.

I had a great experience at this fish restaurant. The fish was incredibly fresh and cooked beautifully, you can choose if you want flavor or not which i really like . The service was excellent, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Price worth it I truly enjoyed my meal and will definitely that going to be my best corner

A wonderful place to enjoy fresh, flavourful seafood—highly recommended. We had red Snapper, Fried Prawns, Rice, Salad and drinks. The price was QAR385. Its not cheap, but its worth a visit.

We had the red snapper fish medium spiced and BBQ Prawns. Food was amazing. The fish was melt in the mouth and the prawns (shelled) were really easy to deshell. Had with a small portion of their rice. You get to choose your fish and they weigh it and charge accordingly. The same with the prawns. It was over an hour's wait to get a seat and then half an hour wait for the food to be cooked. If you plan on visiting here then book a table on line in advance. If you don't have a cellular number, next to your name put (WhatsApp). They will contact you once the table becomes available. If you are in Souq Waqif then definitely come here

Reservation required. If you’re craving fresh seafood, this is the spot. It’s the only fish market style restaurant in Souq Waqif where you can pick your favorite fish and have it cooked the way you like. It’s always busy, so booking online is a must. They’ll call you when your table is ready. Thanks to the quick turnover and plenty of seating, you can usually get in within about an hour. Prices are reasonable, the fish is super fresh and it pairs perfectly with rice. There’s also a branch in Souq Al Wakrah if you want a more relaxed meal, Wakrah is highly recommended.

Highly Recommend. One of the best fishes we have ever had. We had to get reservations and they call you once the table is ready. Took around 1 hour. Well worth the wait. Would recommend the Hot Fish. We ordered the sea bass and the hamour. Rice was also very tasty.

200/10 This was buy far the best grilled fish I've ever had. We chose Tye king fish with mindi rice, Salad and chips. Everything was delicious. The service from our waiter was impeccable. By far the best experience in Doha. The wait was long but definitely worth it.
