Dancing Spirit Ranch

DSR is a little slice of heaven on earth, located in one of the most strikingly beautiful landscapes in the country. I’ve attended two week long retreats here and the care, love and attentiveness of all the staff shines, effortlessly. The barn where most meals are served, is stunning in architecture and definitely captures an authentic mountain west vibe. The grounds are the best part: the land, the miles of walking trails, numerous ponds, and adjacent Whitefish River as well as the stone/rock and gem formations, each with a distinct intent and meaning, connect you and your soul with the land. It’s simply magnificent!

Gorgeous (350 acres,I believe) ranch. Comfortable beds… 2 twins in each room although on our retreat we didn’t have to share a bunkroom. The chef, Frank , is remarkable talented snd very kind and accommodating. His choices of pairing his hot main dish with the his cold salad was perfectly balanced and delicious! A lovely week, Id return without question!

My time at the ranch was heavenly! Everywhere you look is picture perfect. The accommodations are cozy and clean and quiet. The food - amazing. Best retreat food ever. I have special food requirements and they provided creative & tasty options…with a smile. In fact, the whole staff is magnificent. Always helpful & super positive. This place is magical and built with love & intention.

My husband and 4 adult children vacationed in Montana (from Charlotte, NC) the second week of July, and had the opportunity to stay in The Cedar House on The Dancing Spirit Ranch. Everything about this experience was amazing. The house itself sits right on the pond and the staff provided us with kayaks and paddleboards at our our private dock, just steps outside our back door. The views from the back yard are picture perfect and there is plenty of seating to enjoy it from. The amenities inside the home are well thought out, from locally supplied bath and hair products in the showers to rolled up beach towels, bug and bear spray right at the back door. There are games in the family room to enjoy and the bedrooms and bathrooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable for sleeping! The chef at the ranch delivered us delicious dinners, breakfasts and sandwiches to take to Glacier National Park for picnic lunches. I cannot say enough about how great the food and his service was. Every staff member we encountered was gracious and went out of their way to help us with every request (coolers for GNP lunches, a tour of the property) and more. Robin and Tyler were instrumental in providing us help in planning our time in Montana, from GNP hikes, to mountain biking, dining recommendations and a family photographer. Thank you Dancing Spirit for a peaceful, energizing vacation we will truly never forget.

Montana is a beautiful state, and this 'ranch' is a paradise in itself near Glacier National Park overlooked by soaring mountains in the northwest part of the state. Running ponds on the grounds give way to a delightful 'secret garden' with places to sit to contemplate the day. Paths lead to wide berms crowned with unusual fir trees. In addition to a 'school house' and bunkhouse that sleeps up to 16, there is a small lodge that contains a dining room, living room, library loft and fireplace. The food is simple and good and the staff are friendly and kind. Dancing Spirit is a fine place to book or join a retreat and put aside the rest of the world for a little while.

Dancing Spirit Ranch is a magical place. The staff were simultaneously there whenever we needed them, but also hidden so that I never felt intruded upon ever. The food was impeccable, particularly for a group of us with varying special diet needs -- one might never have known that diets for vegan, gluten intolerance or any other issues were being attended. Just delicious -- and I am fussy! Just spectacular choices and service. Truly a place to be at peace but to find wonder.

Dancing Spirit Ranch is an absolutely gorgeous get away. The Land is soul stirring and walks through reveal surprises around each bend...ponds with white swans floating gracefully about, a tiny bridge to a meditation hut, stone sculptures, secret gardens, organic gardens, chairs and benches to take a rest, stone walls and stone gardens, whisper chamber!!! crystals lovingly placed in the the earth and around the property, wind chimes singing....it's truly incredible...and the staff were all equally amazing! kind and generous and attentive. There are not enough words to describe how lovely the whole experience of the ranch.

Thank you Robin and the entire Dancing Spirit Ranch staff! One Down Dog hosted a yoga retreat at the ranch October 24-28, 2019. The staff was so easy to work with during the planning stages. We didn't visit the ranch ahead of our retreat since we are based in Los Angeles, but we felt comfortable working together via email and phone. The accommodations were just as described, the food was fantastic, the yoga studio is already stocked with props and mats, the pricing was fair and straightforward, it really was a dream. We spent time in Whitefish, in and around Glacier National Park and just hung around the ranch. A great 4 night getaway! Thank you so much for hosting us and we look forward to coming back in 2021!
