A nice hostel in a great location. Set back in the jungle, it’s a good place to relax and enjoy one of their craft beers. The rooms are comfortable, the staff are friendly and helpful, the beer is tasty and the bathrooms are clean. I would have given the place a five star rating, though unfortunately the prices on the menu do not include tax. Everyone pays their bill on checkout and at which point you discover the price is much higher than expected. I feel that this is very dishonest and done deliberately to make more money. The reason I feel this way is because there is no mention anywhere on the menu or in the bar / restaurant that their prices do not include tax. It would be very easy to include this information on the menu, especially in a place which is clearly so organised. Great hostel but such a shame about the dishonesty!

Good, could be very good, but isn't. Location & ambience are great. Basic double room good value for an expat place. Comfy room but bizarrely lacking in any kind of hooks or shelves or cupboards, and a slightly unsafe window- I was dripping blood from hitting it while unpacking on the floor. No wifi in room. They do that nasty USA thing of not mentioning taxes until the final bill. Still, a comfy stay, and area feels safe to wander about. Considering the climate, their own brew beers are curiously heavy, dark, sticky winter brews. February - some mosquitoes in the communal areas, all are open, so bug repellent advised.

We camped at the parking and paid 4 dollars to use the showers and toilets. Everything was super clean and there was a nice relaxing vibe! I also ate a pizza and it was very delicious. Also a 5 star review for there page! Really easy to use and they share a lot a information 😁

+ Beautiful Place, good guidebook on tours and how to explore the area, very friendly staff, very clean - TAXES!! They will add 15% to all the things you consume in the restaurant, and there is NO sign in the restaurant, and NO remark on the menu. This makes the not so cheap dishes at least one dollar more each and is just not nice… The only place I saw the extra tax mentioned is when clicking the menu „departure“ in the guide book, which the average person would not read on arrival I assume. Also the kayak rental is twice the price in the hostel compared to the river side places. The shared rooms are a bit dark and humid, but as I said very comfortable. Honestly could have been a very nice stay, but the taxes thing really pissed me off.

First of all D&D Brewery has created very high expectations by creating the most amazing website interface. So much in a detailed description for everything is just amazing and not found anywhere else in my experience. Washrooms are good and well maintained. The place could have been more welcoming if the rooms were not built the way it is built. All of the rooms are pretty dark and there is no space for luggage except the beds in the room. Showers are not good in the washroom. The in-house restaurant is the most disappointing one we have encountered so far. They were not very friendly with options that could have been offered for vegetarians. Sometimes some of the dishes were not available because of the staffing issue. There was no place at all to dry towels. Our towels remained damp all the time irrespective of having a sunny day (because of the way rooms are designed) I would not prefer this stay for a lot of reasons currently. But hopefully they work on improvising it better.

Location is amazing it is easy to get to but hard to continue your trip South. only one bus daily to Tegucigalpa. Food is delicious. Lots of activities. Clean dorms, rooms, restaurant and washrooms. Helpful staff.

A secure place in Honduras which you securely would like to visit. My wife and me took our relatives to this place to have a "break" from the busy daily life. We want to share, that this place is really unique in Honduras. We all enjoyed the friendly staff, the tasty hamburgers and typical hondurean plates. Young and old felt well in the cloud-forest like garden. The older ones of us - and brave ones - tried the local on site brewed beers. They really have a good taste and bring you much more taste and joy then a "normal" one of a million bottled beer you can buy anywhere. They also offer literaly a "wall" full of ideas what to do around the hotel-area. We'll defenitly come back as a couple to take a "breakaway" again and want to do the bird-watching-tour.

Pros: great pizza & French toast & other food was good as well, free water to fill up reusable bottles, beautiful setting, modern/clean/comfy rooms w/ plenty of outlets, clean, bright bathroom, no a/c in room, but the ceiling fan in the evening was enough, no loud music so had a calm and peaceful feel, huge parking lot, everything felt safe, decent craft beer, was able to get laundry done Cons: wifi barely worked (even the workers struggled to get it to work in the reception area), and no wifi at all in room and terrible cell service so impossible to get online in room if you needed to look up info - not the end of the world, but don't depend on having it, zero hooks in the rooms to hang things on to dry / air out, didn't respond to two emails I sent prior to stay, the massages they offered are super cheap but TERRIBLE. My husband and I got one together and while both women seemed nice, the massages were absolutely terrible. Massage room was peaceful and clean, but it was just so bad. They spent a ridiculous amount of time just lightly rubbing a towel around our backs and there was zero pressure and the massage ended about 10 min before it was supposed to. We still tipped them, but it was annoying that reception didn't have change for smaller bills.
