"An old-school rendition of the regional steak-and-dandelion sandwich: a six-ounce char-grilled steak filet topped with sautéed dandelion greens and Parmesan, served on a toasted Costanzo’s roll for a savory, slightly bitter Italian-American classic." - Arthur Bovino

Google
A fun, casual neighborhood restaurant. I had the pork chop and it was good. Service was a little slow but we will be back.

Google
Good food.... Would have been better if menu had description of food and waitstaff knew the menu. Pizza came with no sauce, raw tomatoes, and feta cheese... Waitress described pizza with sauce and didn't mention the tomatoes and cheese.... She did offer to make us another pizza... Probably should have taken her up on that... Anyway we did the best we could... The pizza dough was great!. We ordered apple pie skillet... Which was AWESOME!

All seven ladies enjoyed their dinner. I enjoyed my haddock fish fry. The potato salad was delicious. Cole slaw was homemade too. The special Greek Grouper smelled amazing. I was told the Thai salmon was also delicious. We were all very comfortable there. 👍👍

Google
An absolute great find. Beer selection outstanding…and very cold beer!! Food great. Wings and sandwiches were outstanding. Eggplant and pepper to die for. Bartenders (Jessika, Sarah, Amy) are fantastic. Fun, pleasant, and they know what they are doing!! A gem of a place. Didn’t really want to leave a review because I want to keep it private so I always get a bar stool! Five stars.

I came in Monday for lunch with a friend and had the pleasure of having jessica as my server. She was so kind and personable, gave us super fast service and perfect food recommendations- making our lunch amazing. and the food was delicious! definitely would recommend and will be returning!

My husband and I were in Buffalo one weekend and we wanted to try something new and we came across this lovely establishment. The food was delicious I had the buffalo chicken wrap and my husband had the fish fry. It was a gorgeous night so we sat outside to eat, we had a gentle playing some great music and we were able to get a beautiful sunset picture. The prices were amazing! We will definitely return. Would recommend this place.

I took colleagues here on Tuesday for lunch, they were visiting from out of town and it was their first time in Amherst. I figured it was a good option for a casual but also nice lunch. There were 5 of us and we were offered to sit outside which we chose. We all noticed on the menu that it said, no split checks for groups of 6 or more, and recognized that we would need to use 3 different payment methods because of our corporate cards. The server was okay during the order process and bringing out the food, but she definitely came across as rude and rushed (there was 1 other table outside, and possibly 3 total inside so they were not busy). When she brought out our check, we gave her 3 cards. She didn't even let me explain what we wanted, and said "really guys, you need to tell your server at the beginning of the meal that you need separate checks" and she took the bill and rushed off. Now there are 2 things with this, 1-she could've been proactive in the beginning and asked when we sat down if we were needing separate checks and 2- it isn't difficult to split the check between 3 cards. When she walked away we couldn't believe her delivery. When she came back she had 3 checks, threw the bills down and when we gave her the cards- she said "of course you are all paying with credit cards". It was a completely unnecessary comment. We were very easy customers, and it was embarrassing because I had chosen this restaurant for lunch. Thankfully our dinner at Siena was a completely different and bettrr experience and I think I recovered from lunch. Although the food was good, I would not come back to Dandelions based solely on the service.

The Mahi Mahi was delicious. Blackened with mango salsa, rice, and vegetables. Salmon was delicious as well. Finished with the best sizzling apple pie alamode with a brandy butter sauce..yum!!! The restaurant was very crowded and the service was excellent.

Yelp
Always delicious and reasonably priced. Our waitress was awesome and the food is always hot and delicious- fast too! Last night we had the pizza and steak sandwich- yum

Yelp
We love this restaurant for a few reasons. The food is good. The service is good. The atmosphere is casual. But most importantly, during the warm months when the patio is open, they welcome dogs! As long as your dog is well behaved, and on a leash, Your best friend is welcome to join you at a table outside. The hot stuffed banana peppers are quite good, no anchovies, and a very interesting cheese topping. Excellent desserts as well.

Yelp
I ordered the Philly steak and cheese with homemade potato chips. The sandwich was generous in size and very delicious. The roll was great being fresh and easy to eat. My wife ordered a chicken quesadilla that she loved. The order was quickly filled by a pleasant waitress. The day was beautiful so we enjoyed our meal on the nonsmoking patio. The prices while not inexpensive fall into today's normal range. We look forward to returning.

Yelp
The food was average, the problem here is that -at 1 o'clock in the afternoon on a beautiful Friday with a gorgeous patio- this restaurant is empty. My husband and I were the only two people here. Here's the reason: everything is way too expensive. Eight dollars for two hot teas. $24 for a tiny steak and dandelion sandwich and it was tiny. There is no value to eating here. There are so many other spots in Buffalo.

Yelp
Went to Dandelions to celebrate my husband's birthday. Melissa greeted us at the door and escorted us to our table. She was also going to be our waitress. My husband ordered the Lobster Ravioli and I ordered the chicken quesadilla. Both meals were delicious and Melissa was attentive to our needs. The restaurant was peaceful and warm for a cold winter night .

Yelp
I haven't been here since before Covid. So when a friend suggested we do lunch, I knew this was the place to go to as she had never been. They have upgraded their small patio area to one that now wraps around the building- very inviting. The inside has been redone and is very comfortable. The servers were very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. My favorite item I would get there was the Philly cheese steak bomber, which isn't a normal choice for me, but it was so good and I had to find out if it still was. My friend for the beef on weck. The service was pretty quick and the FRIES were AMAZING! I had forgotten how good they were. My friend took one bite of her sandwich and was in food heaven. I did the same and we both had eyeballs the size of saucers. She said we absolutely must come back soon, and we definitely will! I'll try and order something different too - the Reuben looked great when it went by our table.

Yelp
The food was okay. The desserts were small and pricey. Our server was looking at the other table as she was taking our order . All in all we thought it was way too pricey for the two sandwiches we had. Decided to update this review after reading the previous review with all the !!!!!!!!! .

Ann M.

Yelp
The food here is great. We had a great table outside. There were lots of menu options. Everyone in our group loved the food. The service was impeccable! We liked the ambiance-it was very pleasant dining outside-there's one area on the side and another in front of the restaurant. If you haven't been here in awhile-why not give it a try-you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
I remember years ago going to Dandelions with my Mother and the food was great! So when it reopened I was so happy! So it was my husband's birthday and my anniversary we decided Dandelions is where we were going for our special day!!! Our waitress Nadine was fabulous !!! We could not have asked for a nicer waitress to spend our special day !!! The food was outstanding!! We both had burgers !!! The price was reasonable!! They have a beautiful patio and a singer with a guitar!!! Who was great We definitely recommend Dandelions God bless Debbie &Paul

Yelp
Today I ordered the quesadilla with chicken added. It was much better than the plain cheese quesadilla. It is huge as the restaurant uses two whole tortillas to make the quesadilla; you get 8 large wedges to enjoy. There are side containers of sour cream and salsa. I requested an additional one of salsa, no problem. Our waitress was very friendly and asked us a couple of times about replacing the large bottle of iced water.

Yelp
This was our first time coming in and unfortunately will probably be our last. We came in with our daughter for a bite to eat on a Friday night. The server was very nice and attentive, however the food unfortunately was not. We ordered the calamari to start. It was okay and definitely overcooked and chewy, but we didn't say anything because we both worked in the restaurant industry for years and did not think it was that big of a deal if it was slightly overcooked. Moving on to our entrees, both of our entrees were completely wrong. I ordered the steak and dandelion pizza and I received the steak and hot pepper pizza - I cannot eat spicy food. My husband ordered the steak and cheese sub and was very clear - no mushrooms- because he gets sick from mushrooms. When he received his steak and cheese sub, it had no cheese, no onion and a ton of mushrooms. We let our server know and he was very apologetic, so we understand it's not his fault. He sent both meals back and had them remade and we ended up taking them both to go. The server offered if we wanted a complementary dessert. At first we said no, but then we asked after he brought the bill if we could get it to go. Our daughter got her shots and we thought it would be a nice treat for her. The server did take 15% off the bill for the inconvenience, so we appreciated that. We made sure to leave a decent tip. The bill after the discount was $52. We left a $13 tip on the credit card and a $5 cash bill (we wanted to do the whole tip in cash, but we only had a $5). Again - we used to be servers so we know how cash is appreciated. Overall, even though everything did not go the way it was supposed to, we were fine, but what caused me to give a one-star review is as we were walking out we saw our server talking crap about us to a colleague. I'm not sure if he saw the $5 bill and thought we left him a crap tip, but now I wish I did leave a crap tip. Not cool.

Yelp
Just stopped in here for lunch today with my coworkers and had a pretty decent meal. Its super hot out today so we opted to sit inside, but BOY were they cranking the AC. Two older patrons were so cold they even asked the owner (I'm assuming here) for sweaters! Talk about service though! She came right out with a couple sweaters for them to borrow (I'm also assuming these ladies are either regulars or friends with the older woman who helped them). Everyone walking in also commented on how chilly it was. We were unluckily seated right below the vent so we were pretty cold but managed to enjoy our meal anyway. The service was pretty fast at first but after we got our meal we didn't see the server again for a while, even after asking for a box. It was pretty busy and she looked to be the only one serving other than the older woman so I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt. We were saddened to see that the unlimited soup and salad bar was no longer offered, as this is what we came for after looking at the online menu. I'm guessing COVID killed that. We all decided to split the Mediterranean pizza, which my coworkers enjoyed but I did not. It has far too much sauce and not enough cheese for my liking. We also split the steak & dandelion sandwich which was delicious! I would definitely get that again. It wasn't one of those steak sandwiches you can barely bite through - it was nice and tender and cooked perfectly. The fries were also really freaking good! I'm not usually a fries person but they were phenomenal. My boss also enjoyed his chicken & dandelion sandwich. They had indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a large bar to sit around. Inside is nice and I liked the vibe. The booths were also very comfy.

Yelp
Took my friend here for her birthday today and I was pretty happy, other than freezing cold air blowing on us! Luckily, I dressed prepared for this as it happens to me a lot at restaurants! So I was ok. First let me say, for pop, they don't carry coke or Pepsi. It's RC cola. No big deal to me. I was fine with it. My friend ordered the fish fry. It was so big she couldn't finish it. I imagine she was happy with her food because she said "maybe we can come back for YOUR birthday" (which is in a few weeks). I ordered the chicken piccata dry (it's supposed to come with capers and white wine sauce but I like mine crispy so I ordered it dry)... well I thought all chicken cutlets come breaded but these were not. So I was disappointed in that. I put hot sauce on them lol. But otherwise it was fine. Potato's with gravy we're good and veggies (zucchini and such) were good. I really loved the croutons on the salad!

Al R.

Yelp
Ordered two fish sandwiches. Menu says fresh beer battered filet on toasted fresh Costanzo roll. Roll wasn't toasted and definitely stale. Fish was far from fresh and so overcooked that so called beer batter was close to burned. And the fish was in multiple strips like chicken fingers. The house made potato chips also were stale. Pickle chips were good. Maybe it was because it's a game day but if that's the best they can do, they'd be better off saying kitchen is closed

Yelp
Never order takeout old staff at desk can't get it right my food was ice cold horrible Bar tenders tried hard but end product was not good

Yelp
Dinner | $20-30 I have never walked out of a restaurant not tipping my waitress tonight was my first time. The food was mediocre at best and our waitress was too busy watching TV to service us. There was a table of six that came in after our table of three and they left before us and all we got was salads and a sandwich. Then she came over and slammed my receipt down on the table because I asked her if we could get our bill super rude I will not be back.

Nicholas K.

Yelp
Food is okay, but the prices are way to high for what they food is, $23 for a steak quesadilla? At bar food quality and atmosphere, no shot, needs to lower prices and it'll see more business.

Yelp
After a long bike ride this place was perfect for dinner! It was larger than it looked inside with lots of outdoor seating to enjoy the beautiful weather. I had the turkey reuben and my friend tried the dandelion steak sandwich both very good. Their fries and rings were also pretty excellent! Good prices too they haven't gone through the roof like everything else has. Nice place for a bite or a drink very casual and good food.

Colleen S.

Yelp
food is not good - avoid pizza and quesadillas and mixed drinks. So many other amazing restaurants in Buffalo to choose from than this place.

Yelp
They have an absolutely amazing Caesar Salad with steak!!! Which it's a steep almost $20, it's totally worth it. My last one the steak was grizzly but I guess that can happen. My boyfriend LOVES coming here for wings with his brother and even though we haven't done it, the porch says it's dogs friendly. They have live music every once in a while too. Past the chicken wings and steak salads I can't say much but my boyfriend has had a lot more and really likes this place. It's to the point he'll say "where do you want to go for dinner?" And I'll say "don't say dandelions again" hahahaha

bailey h.

Yelp
veggie burger with quacamole, delicious! service was fine, one waitress for a lot of tables and she did pretty good, not too much time. patio was nice and relaxing

Danny D.

Yelp
Local Bar. Tight dining room. Ended up getting takeout because it was too loud and the told us it may be a while because a server just left. Fish Fry fish was quite good. .Our group was not a fan of the German potato salad.

Kristin H.

Yelp
They have great food and our waitress suggested the portobello sandwich without the bread as I am Celiac and so is she and the stuffed peppers which as shockingly gluten free. It was awesome and she was so sweet. Would totally recommend. They are great.

Luanne C.

Yelp
Went to dinner last night ordered the blackened chicken alfredo, it came with no salad no bread and it was $23. Disappointing.

Yelp
My husband and I have frequented Dandelions for many years. We realize that the pandemic & inflation changed things for all restaurants, but their prices have really increased and portions have really decreased! Now, no salad is served with an entree much to our disappointment. We used to get a generous meal for a fair price. Not anymore!
google avatar

Jessica F.

Yelp
Slightly more expensive then you would think a small bar would be for beverages ... However, their food is tasty! Their BBQ wings are the best I have had, crispy and grilled to perfection, yet saucy. Their chicken finger wrap is also my favorite in townnot to mention their fries. Whatever you order will come out just as you had asked. Everything is always appetizing and just as delicious as it looks.

Yelp
Dandelions is all around fabulous. The staff are always going the extra mile for you. The owner is there and always has a smile and time to say hello. My husband and I have been going here for years. You feel like family when you are there. The food is over the top great. We have had many different meals and they were all delish!!!!! My personal favorite is the steak and dandelions and my hubands is the French dip. The pizza's are fantastic and the soups homemade. You can't stop the salads--I mean you are eating them and they just don't get smaller. The bartenders are classy and fun. Thank you for being there during the pandemic for us and we will see you soon. If you leave Dandelions hungry--it's your own fault!!

Yelp
Decided to give Dandelions a try, since it's been about 10 years since my last visit. We were seated within 15 minutes on a Friday night without a reservation. We had a party of 3 and couldn't even talk in bar area while waiting for our table. It was rediciously loud. We were seated in a booth, which I prefer, however, this booth felt almost too isolated and we could easily play footsie together under table. I was thinking how my larger teenage son wouldn't even fit in the booth here. There are also dining room tables. You don't find salad bars often, but Dandelions offers one. If your entree doesn't come with salad bar, I believe you can add it to a pizza, sandwich or burger choice for $4.oo. We decided to get Pasta and Pea soup instead of salad bar and that was clearly the right move, as we all wanted more. Our server took a long time to greet us originally and hardly walked by or stopped by once we ordered. She was busy and seemed annoyed with us. They were out of rolls, but eventually a basket with 3 rolls and butter showed up after we finished our soup. The bus man kept fresh cold glass water bottle on table, so we could keep filling up our glasses. My daughter ordered a breaded fish dinner with coated french fries, and coleslaw. Not a fan of coated french fries. I ordered the blackened fish fajita dinner. My fish was blackened, but with no flavors. The shredded iceberg lettuce was yellowish, shredded cheddar cheese and salsa seemed like someone ran to walmart and got the ingredients and threw it on a plate with loads of fresh cut tomatoes. The peppers and onions under blackened fish were ok, but no flavor. I would have preferred fresh avacado slices or more guac. I wanted this to be a better experience, but once our dinner arrived, we didn't see our server again for a while and with our bill. We asked if she could split our bill with 2 dinners on one check, and other dinner on it's own check..She agreed, and came back with our 3 dinners evenly separated. So our friend ended up paying for some of our bill.

Yelp
To start with, our waitress was flippant. Nearly slid a beer glass off table on guests lap. Then she double charged us for food. After taking care of that, I paid with CC. When she returned with bill to sign, my CC was not there. Went to look for her and found my CC on the floor near door. Had her come over and she took it lightly. Said the card holder is loose and walked away. I asked another server to get the manager. She said there wasn't one there. I asked who is in charge, she said no one, "we pretty much run themselves." My response- "no one is in charge here?" She said that the owner was there, do I want her to get him. Oh my... The owner also took everything lightly. Just said they were short staffed. Though they didn't seem to be. Then he asked if I got everything. What does that mean????? If you still want to go there, even though it is not recommended, be sure to ask for a competent server, check your bill, pay exact bill using cash, and be ware, it's a free for all, apparently no one is in charge!

Yelp
Very disappointing. I was excited with the menu selection and ambiance to try somewhere new to me. Our waitress, Lauren was very friendly to us but she needs some training in follow up and some more experience in service skills. I ordered eggplant Parmesan and my friend the chicken Parmesan. Both meals came while we were still eating our salads and both were loaded with Parmesan cheese. They looked awesome. My friend finished her salad first and started eating the Parmesan and spaghetti and after a while commented that it tasted funny like Chef Boyardee I finished my salad at this point and dug into what I thought would be my eggplant and discovered the chicken under the cheeses. At that point we realized that our platters had been swapped but she had already eaten the spaghetti. We decided to just swap plates because the waitress at that point was nowhere to be found and we felt like we should've noticed as well. When Lauren returned my friend explained what had happened and although Lauren apologized I didn't get a feeling of genuineness. It was like 'oh I'm sorry and she bounced off like it was not that big a deal. Not once did she offer more water or offer to get us another drink and my glasses were empty. The water is served lukewarm in a wine bottle to pour yourself and ours was empty. Every time someone went they the front door to the patio the door was slammed so hard it felt like things were shaking. It's very disruptive to conversation. The portions are large -we did take home leftovers. I returned home approx 20 minutes away and had to rush into the house because I was feeling sick. I've since reached out to my friend and the same thing happened to her. I will be contacting Dandelions tomorrow about the sickness after I see how long it lasts. Hopefully the management shows more concern or empathy than the waitress did.

Yelp
I visited Dandelions (after several years of not) on a Friday night; they accepted reservations for our party of four. We were seated in a booth and eventually our harried server attended to us. She did do a wonderful job catering to our requests, and with a friendly smile. Our drink order arrived and each empty glass was set down and then you were presented with a mini carafe of wine. You were to pour the wine into your empty goblet. It was rather awkward. Here was all this glassware and engaging customers to interrupt their conversation to do an unexpected task. It gave the server a mini break, she watched us work and removed the empty carafes. Each member of our party ordered a fish fry. We were promptly handed plates for the salad bar procession. I'm neither a fan of do-it-yourself restaurant service nor salad bars (I know how this child's-height spread entices the little ones, taking the reality of this veggie spread from a salad bar to a "grab bar" plus the sneeze guard is too high for their use), no I'm more comfortable believing salads are created in a controlled and clean environment, behind the scenes in the kitchen. Plus I'm not keen on negotiating skinny aisles around tables of diners after a sip or two of wine. I came to visit with friends, not wait on myself! The food was okay, a good old fashioned Buffalo fish fry, hot and served with sides of bread, cole slaw (in an individual little bowl, nice idea), spuds and lemon wedges. I suppose the atmosphere was just not my style: loud, dark and crowded with too many tables and too much rushing around by wait staff. It was a markedly unlively clientele. Based on the overall experience, I'll try other places for now.

Yelp
My cousin discovered this place and recommended it. I went there by myself and then with a friend after a shpooing weekend. Both times we were felt welcome and the food was good!!! It's our new "to go" to place after a shppoing weekend!!

Yelp
My daughter, husband and I had lunch here today. Very nice bar and dining room. Comfy high back booth seats and nice decor. The menu has many good choices and there is a salad bar as well. My greek salad with chicken was great. My daughter had a.chicken wrap that she enjoyed and my husband had a nice fish sandwich. Our server was very good. We will definitely come back soon!

Yelp
Great menu and bar area. Be sure to check them out for 50 cent wings on Mondays! Oh and the dining room is beautiful, service is excellent.

Yelp
Came here on a late Sunday night and sat at the bar for a quick bite to eat with my boyfriend. We ordered wings, i got a BBQ bacon burger and we also got pot stickers. I did not like the pot stickers at all, they were small and dry. don't waste your money on those. My burger was not bad, i just wish the bacon would have been crispy. I didn't have any wings but my boyfriend seemed to enjoy them and for .35 cents you cant go wrong. Service was pleasant, there was one bartender working, attentive and helpful when needed. Overall not the best palce but if we had to come back we would.

Clyde D.

Yelp
Everything from the place is top notch. The beef on weck is amazing and the beef is slow roasted in house. Same thing with the corned beef Reuben- everything made in house. The Cajun wings are ridiculous and pair incredibly with the house made bleu cheese. Entrees are great too. Salmon is always amazing.

Yelp
My fiancé and I come here for dinner once a year before we go to an annual charity comedy show at Rob's Comedy playhouse. I honestly love the home-y atmosphere and friendly service. They redid the restaurant last year and the new modern decor is beautiful. We started with beers. Our waitress was very nice but didn't offer us a beer list and didn't seem to know all of the "light beers" the restaurant had. She only offered two and I picked one. Later we saw a beer menu with lots of options and I saw many others I would have preferred. Oh well. I ordered a cup of the New England clam chowder and jumbo chicken wings. My fiancé ordered the greek salad with chicken. My chowder was delicious, although she brought me a bowl instead of a cup. The wings were cooked well but they were honestly some of the smallest wings i've had. A little ironic they were described as jumbo wings on the menu :) Fiancé's salad was great. We will continue to come back, I hope I get a bigger batch of wings next time!

Jennifer S.

Yelp
The restaurant was not busy and waited over 30mins for food. Asked for paninis but was served wraps . The waitress didn't seem to care , didn't apologize. We ate the wraps as we did not want to wait another 30 mins . Never came to refill our drinks again the place was not busy. There was no explanation. She never explained the long wait or offered to do anything about being served the wrong food. Will not return

Yelp
Yes I was there this evening for the first time with my friend. The waitress name was Lauren. When she brought over our dinner, I began eating it and I thought this CHicken really was terrible.. Then my friend started to eat hers well it turns out Lauren gave us the wrong dinners to each other. I called her over and she said oh I thought you had this...Never an apology, nothing not even anything off the bill. My friend had finished her drink she never came over to see if she wanted another one.. Plus while sitting there we kept hearing this VERY ANNOYING slam. It turns out its the door to go to the patio.. I think you need to look into making that SLAM a little quiet. We will never be back at that place..

Mike F.

Yelp
Ordered Fish Fries for take out. Absolutely delicious- still crispy because they package them in cardboard box not styrofoam. Nothing worse then a soggy fish fry. The fries were great but wish it also came with macaroni salad. Will definitely order again!
google avatar

Seth A.

Yelp
This place has a very large bar and does a great job from separating the bar from dining experience. I ordered the pork chops for lunch which came with a salad/soup choice and my choice carbs. Before 4pm they don't offer potatoes but the rice was tasty. Had a little butter and flavor and a slight side of mixed veggies and apple sauce. The single pork chop didn't have a crazy amount of flavor but when you took a bite with the rice at the same time it was fantastic. Not a bad place for happy hour although when I was done eating the bartender almost forced me out by handing me my check before my second sip of beer. Good selection of beer and liquor is a hit or miss if they have it, but do have a large selection. Enjoyed the timing of everything as well as the taste. Just felt rushed once the meal was done.

Yelp
For a causal family friendly restaurant this place gets three stars. The restaurant itself is a bit outdated, but the servers go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. The food isn't great but if you are looking for a burger/sandwich and fries it's not a bad location. Overall the food was fine and exactly what you would expect from an older family restaurant. The real highlight of our meal was the sizzling Apple pie desert, which I highly recommend. I would actually probably recommend just coming back here for the desert, and skipping the other food. Their menu is quite large with all of your typical items, and entrees come with a complimentary salad bar. The salad bar consists of bagged lettuce and toppings you would typically expect on a side dinner salad, but nothing super fresh or tasty. Our meals were decent but nothing special, and the beer was really pricey if it isn't during a happy hour. Overall this place gets three stars for a great desert, good wait staff, and tasty french fries. Other than that nothing is really remarkable.

Yelp
First the good. French Onion soup is great. Server was very pleasant but never offered refill on beverages or directed us to salad bar that should have been included in entrees. Two fish fry's ordered, fish was good, fries were good, rice pilaf mediocre at best. Will definitely give them another chance.

Yelp
Great food, reasonable prices but the chefs know what they are doing. Highly recommend coming here to see a comedy show at Rob's! Enjoy dinner before or get snack food inside the show, enjoy the spacious bar afterwards. Outside eating area and tons of parking!

Yelp
Didn't eat here so I can't comment on anything except this: Today I attempted to place an order for carry out, since the weather is frigid and want to spare my children the polar vortex. I ordered a half fish fry and two kids meals. I was very disappointed to learn from the woman on the phone, that drinks and ice cream were NOT included in our carry out kids meals. Nowhere is this indicated on the menu. If drinks and ice cream are not included, the price for a carry-out kids meal should reflect that. The woman on the phone said, "same price for the meal, but NO drink for the kids and no ice cream..." VERY disappointing in both regards. If they aren't going to include drink and dessert in a carry-out kids meal, the least they could do is reduce the price. Not sure I WANT to visit this place now; especially after reading about the experiences in earlier Yelp comments. :-(

Yelp
This place is actually open. I love salad bars and when you order off the entree menu you do get to enjoy Dandelion's. Everything is fresh and crispy. They have a great beer battered fish fry, that's usually what I get because the half portion is so reasonably priced you really cannot go wrong. They have Labatt's Blue Light on tap, but it's Buffalo so many places do---

Yelp
My family and I have gone here for years. My 30th birthday was thrown here and I was planning on throwing my husbands birthday here in December. We eat here a lot and have always enjoyed the food. It's unfortunate, but after this past Saturday, we will not only never return but I've been telling everyone about how bad of an experience we had. We had a party of 4 and we were sat outside. After 25 mins (and I literally timed it), I had to wave someone down to let them know politely that no one has come over to our table yet. She said ok, hang on I'll get someone. A server came over (her name is Jackie) and actually said "our hostess is new and never told anyone you were here." No sorry, just hey let me throw my hostess under the bus for being inept. But fine, we looked past it and ordered our food and drinks. The drinks came out and then half of our food. She said she'd be back with the rest and after 10 mins, she brings us the food. We eat and she barely checks back up on us. We're then sitting waiting for awhile with empty plates and she finally comes to give us the bill. We wanted to pay separate, but she dropped it off so fast we couldn't even tell her. We write on the receipt that $30 should go on each of the three cards. We left the cards and 2 $20 bills in the bill holder and waited for her to come back. After TWENTY minutes of sitting there, all 4 of us finally decided we were sick of waiting and went inside. We were going to just see if the bartender would cash us out, but they said they couldn't and they'd have to get the server. She asked me who the server was and I checked the receipt and it said Jackie. 5 minutes later she comes out and says "oh, you wanted change?" I almost felt like saying you didn't even check if we were paying with a card or cash, but again whatever. This is really where everything went downhill and made an already bad evening worse. She comes back and gives us the cards and where there should have been $16 in cash as change, there was no cash in the bill holder. So I waved her down AGAIN as she was walking away and I said "umm excuse me, do you have the change?" And I'm not joking she says "Excuse me?! You didn't write on there that you wanted the change back I thought it was my tip but I guess I was wrong!" Now, none of us ever told her to keep the change either. The people paying with cards wanted to put their portion of the tip on their card. I have never in my life been treated like this while out to eat with my family. Not one time. She continued arguing with me that I never acknowledged that I wanted the change back and then she stormed away. I swear all 4 of our jaws dropped right to the floor. I truly believe she kept the change on purpose because she figured with how crappy of a job she did, we wouldn't tip her (she was wrong, we still would have until that happened). She proceeded to then walk to the other side of the bar and glare at me and my family as she talked crap about us to all of her other coworkers. She came back with the cash, threw it on the counter and left. The saving grace here was your bartender who immediately came over and said "wow, are you guys ok? I'm so incredibly sorry that just happened. If there's anything you need me to do, please let me know" and I told them that I was so close to asking for a manager but since they asked if we're ok, I reconsidered making such an enormous deal out of it. However, I took the time over the past few days to think about how seriously wrong it is that that happened at a place my family and I visit more times than I can count. Please discuss this with your server and advise that the way she speaks and serves customers goes against everything someone in the food industry should do. Also, being a server, making sure your customer has a great experience is YOUR JOB. I've been there, I've literally been a server. I saw through my own eyes everything I never wanted to be at my job. Absolutely unbelievable.

Yelp
We recently had my husbands 50th bIrthday here. What a great night!! The owner was very accommodating, and let me switch plans around a few times. The staff was great, as was the food!! My husband and our party had a great evening!!

Yelp
I must confess, I have been to Dandelions multiple times for drinks with friends and the bar atmosphere is awesome! All the bartenders are very very friendly and pour some strong drinks! Plus the free popcorn doesn't hurt ;). Besides the bar area there is a comedy stage just behind it that boasts some pretty good performers on Saturday night and I highly recommend that you go! Last night was the first time I actually visited Dandelions while it was still light out. It happened to be Mexican night, but I decided to pass at the specialty menu and went with the blackened chicken alfredo which was spot on! The chicken had great seasoning and flavor and the alfredo sauce had a little something extra in it... not quite sure what it may have been, but it was fantastic :). When you order off the entree portion you are welcome to the salad bar which had what you would expect from anything buffet style. I also noticed other dishes coming out which looked pretty darn good. Overall the service was good as for the food... it was just ok. I'll have to try some more off of their menu before I can say for sure this is my final review. If you stop by ever you may just find me sipping on a jack and coke in the corner... please say hi :)
