What I loved the most about this hotel is the location!||About the hotel: I paid a little extra to get a business room with a window and it did not disappoint! The room was facing Lane 31 of Xinyi Road and I could partially see Daan Park and had lots of natural light, adding to the feeling of comfort in the already homey feel of the place. The room, the lobby, even the restaurant were spacious especially compared to the previous hotels I stayed at in Taipei. I loved the breakfast they offered. The choices were simple and limited, yet delicious and filling. After eating, it was nice to just cross the street to take a stroll in Daan Park or hop on the MRT. Everything was super accessible! I even walked from the hotel to Yongkang St. at Dongmen which enjoying the neighborhood. The hotel also has a free self-service laundry and they stored our luggage before check in time.||About the vicinity: As for the MRT, Exit 1 is the nearest to the hotel, but Exit 6 has an elevator and escalators. There's a rabbit cafe down the street which was such a precious hidden gem! And a little not-so-secret hint: if you stand at the Daan Park station bus stop, you can see and get a good picture of Taipei 101. If your legs get tired from walking all day, the pharmacy across the street has those medicated patches. Bonus: the pharmacy has a resident chubby black cat that made my day!||I should note, though, that the AC did not have a heater, but as someone who does not easily feel cold, it was not an issue for me. Another note is that the business room comes with a shower that's in the bathtub, which is quite high. They provided a stepping stool, sturdy handrails, and a rubber mat, and frankly, it all felt very safe, but it might be an issue for someone with mobility issues. I asked, and they said that the standard rooms have showers with no bathtub for easier access.
