What I loved the most about this hotel is the location!||About the hotel: I paid a little extra to get a business room with a window and it did not disappoint! The room was facing Lane 31 of Xinyi Road and I could partially see Daan Park and had lots of natural light, adding to the feeling of comfort in the already homey feel of the place. The room, the lobby, even the restaurant were spacious especially compared to the previous hotels I stayed at in Taipei. I loved the breakfast they offered. The choices were simple and limited, yet delicious and filling. After eating, it was nice to just cross the street to take a stroll in Daan Park or hop on the MRT. Everything was super accessible! I even walked from the hotel to Yongkang St. at Dongmen which enjoying the neighborhood. The hotel also has a free self-service laundry and they stored our luggage before check in time.||About the vicinity: As for the MRT, Exit 1 is the nearest to the hotel, but Exit 6 has an elevator and escalators. There's a rabbit cafe down the street which was such a precious hidden gem! And a little not-so-secret hint: if you stand at the Daan Park station bus stop, you can see and get a good picture of Taipei 101. If your legs get tired from walking all day, the pharmacy across the street has those medicated patches. Bonus: the pharmacy has a resident chubby black cat that made my day!||I should note, though, that the AC did not have a heater, but as someone who does not easily feel cold, it was not an issue for me. Another note is that the business room comes with a shower that's in the bathtub, which is quite high. They provided a stepping stool, sturdy handrails, and a rubber mat, and frankly, it all felt very safe, but it might be an issue for someone with mobility issues. I asked, and they said that the standard rooms have showers with no bathtub for easier access.

The hotel is small but not lacking. Strict 3pm check in & a call at 11.30 to remind you of 12noon check out! Kelly at reception is nice, so is Sally & Vivian. As others mentioned, the hotel has a 7/11 next door & MRT (Red Line) almost at its doorstep, with a good mom-pop breakfast shop & good coffee roaster opposite. The MRT at the hotel entrance only has stairs so use Exit 6 ( elevator or escalator), stand facing Daan park ( or main road) & walk to the right till you reach 7/11. Past the hotel main (short) stairs is a ramp. I had a leg injury and found the MRT Exit 6 more useful. The staff are nice & helpful. Place is clean & quiet. Park View room is large enough for 3. Peeked in when some room doors were left open after check out. Some rooms are ok for two with windows facing other buildings or even no windows at all! The rooms only have AC or fan, no heat! So it got a little chilly when visiting in early winter. But the front desk arranged for a small heater to be placed in the room 👍. Breakfast is ok with Chinese porridge & Western toast, sausages & eggs. There is free laundry which is handy. Minus a star cos I had booked in advance but found the early bird discount applied only to my 1 day deposit & full rate for the remaining days when checked in 😕not very nice.

Beautiful and minimalist hotel. Excellant location, right at the doorstep of Daan Park MRT station, Exit 1, with convenience store next door. Opposite is the serene Daan Park. Quiet area. ||Excellant staff. The breakfast is worth it and has various variety to cater to vegetarians as well. I also appreciate the free laundry services (which is a rarity for hotels). Only downside is that there is only one lift and so waiting time can be a bit long and wifi when using laptop, can be a bit slow.

Great hotel in a good location. The staff was friendly and helpful at every turn. Truly great service! The rooms are nice with all the necessary things needed. It was clean and quiet. The view over looking the park was really great. Close proximity to food and shopping and If you want something bot within walking distance Taiwan has a wonderful public transportation system.

I stayed at Dandy Hotel for 3 days in Feb 2025. I picked this hotel for its location near Da'an Park and the MRT station. Also, because it has a breakfast buffet included. The breakfast area was not that big, but the buffet had enough variety of western and taiwanese options and tasted pretty good (though not great). Some of the hot dishes and the fresh fruits may change each day, but most other things were the same. I think it might get boring, if I stayed longer than 3 days. I requested a higher floor when I made reservations on Agoda, and they gave me a room on the top floor. Yay! They also upgraded me from a superior room to a deluxe room for free! (They told me the superior room has only a shower, and the deluxe room has shower and jetted tub. The tub was great after a long day of walking.) The hotel room was small, but there was additional closet/cabinet space for clothes and storing luggages. The bathroom was very nice, with heated bidet toilet seat, a shower area and a jetted tub. There are windows in the room and the bathroom that can be opened and there is a screen that can slide closed to keep out bugs. The hotel staff was very nice. They had some bite-sized pineapple cakes as free snacks in the lobby which were pretty tasty. So, I asked at the front desk what brand it was and what store I might buy it from. One of the staff (maybe a manager?) got a box from the back to show me, and then just gave the entire box to me. I was very happily surprised by that. I would stay here again for shorter stays, 1-3 nights.

It is very helpful to have English speaking front desk staff. Clean and modern room. Food is amazing. Lobby area is very convenient with bathroom facilities, free snacks, tea/coffee, phone charging facilities. Can recommend to others. Value for money.

We had a great time here. They even upgraded our room for free. The room was complete with amenities and everything was working. The breakfast buffet was also amazing. Not to mention the location is very accessible via train. There's also 2 nearby Youbike stations in its vicinity

Yelp
This place had great staff. They were all friendly and welcoming every time we passed by the lobby. Most of them spoke Chinese and English, so I didn't have to worry too much about my broken Chinese. We had to break our trip up into 2 parts because we were spending a day in Taichung, and they held our groceries for us until we got back. The rooms were very nice and clean. The location is excellent. There's a great park across the street that we took our 2 year old daughter to every day. It's right next to the MRT station. If I ever need to find a hotel in this area, I'll definitely return to the Dandy Hotel!

Yelp
I like this hotel, it's not a fancy Marriott but it clean, comfortable, functional, and extremely convenient. I stayed here for a few months when my dad was sick, and came back to this hotel when I visited. It has many room configuration, some are spacious some are quite tight. It's always clean and comfortable. The staff is 24-hours and always helpful and friendly. I love the free self service laundry for longer stays, since I stayed for a long time, I just request lower floor rooms and just walk downstairs for the laundry. Complimentary breakfast is not fancy but it's pretty good, there is a Chinese breakfast place right across the street and many walkable places if you desire some variety. They serve complimentary UUC coffee in the breakfast buffet and at the lobby, they are pretty good. The location is amazing, right across from the red line MRT exit, and across from one of the nicer parks in town, close and walkable to many amazingly and popular restaurants like the main DTF dumpling place. In general, it's very good price for all the things you get. The prices varies significantly by season, and could be booked up during summer months.

Yelp
We stayed at Hotel Dandy for four nights and really liked it. The best parts of the hotel are its centralized Da'an Park location and all inclusive facilities such as free breakfast, free on-site laundry/dryer machines, and other various in-room amenities (toothbrushes, combs, slippers, shoe cleaning towels, water etc.) The room we booked was small but was comfortable and had everything we needed. They also have free parking if you need it. The staff is very friendly and helpful, shut out to Alice for making extensive recommendations for our Hualien trip! They also have an airport shuttle service and they'll pack your breakfast to go if your flight is early in the morning, which was very convenient.

Yelp
This is definitely a family friendly hotel. It's incredibly convenient to the Da-an Forest Park MRT station as well as the family friendly Da-an first park to take a stroll with your baby. With a family of three you can book their family room and yes there are no big windows but for a small business hotel in Taipei you can't do worse. I requested a baby bed to be put in my room and to my surprise they also added a baby bath tub in their for us (totally pleasant surprise). The daily breakfast was not the most glamorous spread but it was delicious and fulfilling . You can always eat breakfast before going out doing tourist things for the day. The staff is also most helpful and I couldn't ask for more.

Yelp
The Dandy Hotel is conveniently located directly next to MRT; the fresh aroma through the hallways and inside our room owes well to the cleanliness of this tidy hotel. If booking the $4200 NTD option with a window view of the park, be wary as the 6th and below floor room window views are well obstructed by a vertical sign, and the staff are unlikely to be able to find a replacement room due to limited availability. This isn't displayed in the presentation of the rooms when booking.

Yelp
This was the last place we stayed and it was a wonderful location nestled right across from Daan Park and the MRT station. We booked last minute and got a pretty good price, shockingly good actually given its location, it came out to $99 USD for a full and a twin bed (last room left so we took what we could get). The design is very modern and minimal and that is where my beef with Dandy is. The room is functional but I feel like they went really cheap on the design. The shower is a huge step up and down when you get in and out and I thought I was going to sprain my ankle each time I got out of the shower (I like to consider myself somewhat of a young buck so that was disheartening). It was very IKEA-esque and not in a good way. The American in me yearned for more counter space in the bathroom because I would try to balance my makeup on it and it would crash down onto the floor leaving me concealer-less (i.e. Scary!) for the day. They stock the fridge with drinks like Coke, Sprite and Water so that's a plus and they have a coffee machine downstairs with complimentary coffee drinks. Breakfast is included but it doesn't start until 7am so if you're heading out early you're out of luck. Staff was friendly and it's surprisingly quiet for being right near a busy intersection. All in all, a good value but not favorite place I stayed at in Taipei.

Yelp
Phone: 2 2707-6899 Check In Time: after 3 pm Check Out Time: before noon (12:00) This ultra modern hotel is conveniently located near Da-an park. When you are inside you will notice how sheen everything looks. The people who have set this hotel up spared no expense to make this place look fancy. In my opinion, their efforts have paid off. The extra mile really does add up. You can get a standard room here for as low as NT$1,900, which is not too bad for a hotel so close to an MRT line. Keep in mind however very few of these rooms have any windows. If you are paying for the standard room, more likely than not that room will be without a window. If that makes a difference to you there are other hotels on Xin-yi road, which have rooms at similar rates with a view.

Yelp
Excellent location - right by a 7-Eleven and the subway station. Clean and very modern room. Small but functional. The service is exceptional - as is in most of Taipei. Very pleasant stay - will book here again.

Yelp
Great service, delightful continental breakfast with live entertainers and fresh, exotic produce. Staff were prompt to entertain my toddler son who had difficulty adjusting to the new time zone - we would have left with a multitude of toy vehicles had we not returned them due to limited luggage space. Would recommend this location to anyone looking to stay near the MRT and a local park in Taiwan.
