Stayed here for 6 nights last week with my husband and we miss it so much already! We arrived at 7 am and luckily they had a room available for early check in (for a fee), so we could have breakfast and then nap and start our day. It was exactly what I needed after a long flight. The rooms and bed are huge and we were able to keep all 4 suitcases open on the ground the entire stay with no issues walking around! The toilets are outfitted with high end bidet systems, the slanted bathtubs are perfect for soaking in, and the shower gets hot with great pressure. I slept so well and never woke up from noise (I am a light sleeper). The staff goes above and beyond, setting up a delicious daily breakfast with tons of rotating (healthy / home-cooked!) options, snacks and meals in the afternoon / evening (you will never go hungry here), fun holiday gifts, having mosquito repellant and sunscreen and umbrellas available, and you can even do laundry here! Everything is included and I found out later they even have raincoats, bathrobes, etc… they really think of everything you might need to borrow and they are SO nice. The location is perfect as it is 5 min away from 2 main subway lines and tons of shops. The Din Tai Fung is a block away so we just took a number and napped in the hotel during the 2 hour wait! Dandy Tianjin is like a cozy sweater you look forward to putting on after a long day out. Instead of a cold unaccomodating hotel, it is a charming (modern) guesthouse with a sweet caring host. If you are considering this for your stay, just do it - you won’t regret it!!

Highly enjoyed my time at the hotel! Absolutely will return. First experience when arriving after dark was that it was difficult to find, but it's across from the 7-11 in the alleyway. We were greeted with snacks (grass jelly) which was nice after traveling for hours. The staff were extremely helpful checking us in and getting us situated, and their English was excellent. Breakfast was definitely a highlight, they had a huge variety of food each day, I noticed they seemed to cater to Taiwanese, Japanese, and Western cuisine. They had bread/toast, eggs, salad, cereal, juice/coffee/tea, but also soups, soy milk, fried rice, buns, noodles, and stir fry with variety each day. Rooms also had complimentary drinks in the fridge that were refilled. The location was really good, there were multiple restaurants and bars within walking distance. There were multiple close MRT lines and bus stops with <10 minute walk, as well as shopping malls and chain restaurants (Din Tai Fung, Kura Sushi). The room had a dehumidifier which helped keep the humidity down (we went during May, rainy season). They also had umbrellas for tenants to borrow.

The location is excellent on the edge of old Taipei and the modern. Great choice of excellent restaurants and street food with in a short walk. And all the shopping experiences that you may wish. Also a 10-15 minute walk to Taipei Main Station which connects to HSR and local lines. The room was very generous in size with the biggest and most comfortable bed on our 3 week trip. Bathroom spacious. Fabulous breakfast included and at night there were numerous snacks/bites free of charge. But what made our stay more enjoyable and memorable was the staff. We have never experienced such attention to detail and welcoming smiles. Kim on reception even went out of her way to help us navigate the city and completely documented two trips into the country side, with notes in English and Chinese so we could pass them on when language became a barrier. In all don’t hesitate just book Dandy.

Hotel is located at a convenient location.5 minutes walk Zhongshan metro station, and about 10-15 minutes walk to Taipei bus/main station. 7-eleven was directly opposite the hotel, great for grabbing a late night snack. Lots of f&b options nearby too. Everything was clean and modern. Room was comfortable and spacious enough for my family of 3. Great service from the reception staff, they were always smiley. The breakfast, which ends at 10am, was pretty decent as well. Overall a good stay!

For this trip to Taipei, we chose to stay at Dandy Hotel - Tianjin due to its proximity to Zhongshan MRT station, knowing we could easily get to most places in Taipei via the MRT. What we got was so much more.||First, the front desk staff was great, day and night. They provided recommendations on restaurants, made reservations, gave directions, received our packages, arranged transportation. We were there for nine days, and we utilized their services every day. We spoke Chinese but our son and daughter-in-law did not, and the front desk was able to communicate effectively in both Chinese and English. They were always friendly, cheerful, helpful. I even asked one of them to help me with the settings on the dryer. They were there to help, always.||Our room was well-designed. The bed was comfortable. There was a small refrigerator, a rack for hanging jackets. Housekeeping always replenishes our bottled water (and you can always get more from the front desk). Bathroom had a large counter so it was very easy to layout our toiletries. We asked for an extra floor mat for the bathroom on our first night, and housekeeping made sure we had two floor mats for all subsequent days. There was a nice balcony that opened up to the street so we were able to catch some fresh air at anytime. The neighborhood is busy, but during sleeping hours there is not much noise, plus there is sufficient noise isolation. When the curtains are closed, there is no light leaking in. There were plenty of outlets. There was also a very large desktop area. Overall, the room was very comfortable to stay in.||Having the option of eating breakfast at the hotel is really nice. The city has a lot of breakfast options, including within short walking distance, but being able to eat at the hotel before setting off for the day is really nice. There were things that stayed the same every day, but there were also some things that changed. Out of the nine days, I ate at the hotel 8 times. I was able to get the variety of foods I wanted. The staff at breakfast were so friendly as well. They were there to assist with ensuring the area was clean, food items were replenished, and they always offered assistance when I needed help bringing coffee or tea up to our room.||After breakfast hours, the area becomes just a general area to sit/eat in. For a couple of nights we bought takeout from nearby restaurants and ate in the common area. Sometimes, we just wanted to rest and debrief after spending the day out and about. It was nice to be able to do that in the common area rather than in our room.||Aside from being close to the MRT station, the hotel is close to a large department store (with a food court), Taipei underground shopping street, plenty of restaurants just one to two minutes away, bakeries, markets, convenient stores, foot massage places, and bubble tea places. For those who are fond of walking, it's about a 15 minute walk to NingXia night market.||Overall, I found Dandy Hotel - Tianjin to be a great place to stay at for visiting Taipei.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. First, the staff are excellent at communication. I sent an email to the hotel inquiring about airport pickup. A hotel employee stated that they do provide this service, and all that I would need to do is complete a Google document with my flight information. Easy enough! Prior to arriving, staff communicated with me on WhatsApp with pertinent details on the driver's information, where to meet, etc. When I arrived at the airport, someone was there waiting for me as soon as I made it to the terminal. This was such a relief because I knew that I would be in good hands. I arrived at the hotel safely, thanks to the driver. My departure trip to the airport also went smoothly. If you need airport services, the staff here will take care of everything for you. Excellent communication and customer service by the staff members set the precedent for my trip. Staff members went above and beyond. They were friendly, and would always greet guests when they walked in. They were also willing to answer any questions or concerns. I have truly never seen such staff dedicated and committed to helping guests anywhere else. Amazing. I would also like to give a special shout-out to front desk attendant, Kim. On one occasion, Kim handed me a hot pack for my hands to keep them warm. She also created a detailed map and note wuth recommendations on where to visit Taiwan on future trips. I will forever be grateful for the kindness, helpfulness, and compassion that she exhibited. Other hotel highlights include room service each day, a lovely buffet breakfast, restaurants and coffee shops in the area, (there is a coffee shop right next door), and convenience to public transportation. The MRT station was only a five minute walk from the hotel. The room was a bit cold, but I was fine with layering up and staying underneath the covers. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel!

Location is convenient, closed to Zhongshan MRT. All staff is really really good. Kim also provided us the printed out guide for the locations to visit 😊 Room size is comfortable, especially bathroom with a bath tub. Breakfast line, even not large, but completed enough for one meal. We stayed for 4 nights and breakfast each day was different. Really recommend Dandy hotel to enhance your trip in Taipei!!

This is a fantastic little boutique hotel in an excellent, lively location in Taipei. I've stayed at this Hotel brand several times over the past 2 years, and both locations I've booked (Zhongshan, Daan Park) have been top notch and never disappoint. Every time, the staff went out of their way to ensure that I had a restful, convenient, and warm stay. They're always smiling, greeting and attentive whenever you walk by the front desk. This time, they even left me a "welcome back" presentation on my bed spread. Really lovely. The rooms are well appointed, the beds are great, and the vibe of the hotel hits that sweet spot between restful and invigorating. The only thing I wish were a little better at the Zhongshan branch would be the breakfast, as the Daan Park branch seems to offer a bit more selection and it's a bit of a "step up". Regardless, highly recommend this hotel!
