I like the bun thit nuong, the bun bo hue & pho were a bit spicy but overall good. Service & Staff were friendly and helpful with suggestions. Cafe sua da (with milk) is strong and nice. This place is a nice vietnamese restaurant and a hole in the wall.

Google
The pho is absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful broth with perfectly cooked noodles and fresh toppings. The service is also excellent & the staff is friendly and attentive, making sure you have everything you need. While the outside of the plaza looks a bit old, don’t let that fool you. Inside, the restaurant is super clean and has a fresh, welcoming atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving great Vietnamese food!

Google
Not the best tasting shrimp/pork spring roll I’ve ever had, flavor was rather dulled by lettuce, but it seemed healthy. The grilled pork bahnmi was excellent. The unsweetened black tea was lightly floral, it was different and better than the usual iced tea.

Have never been to Baton Rouge; and have never been to Dang’s either. That is until now and what a pleasant surprise. Louisiana capitol building’s expansive grounds were so charming, and Dang’s Vietnamese dishes were so good; they both made us wonder where else we have been. We ordered #3 Vietnamese Crepe Pork & Shrimp, #12 Beef Noodle Soup (pho), and #33 Pork Noodle Soup Seafood. And what a treat on all 3 dishes! They consistently had that smooth and sweet signature that felt immediately natural and craved. The pho’s brisket was meaty and tender, and together with the beef broth felt reassuring wholesome; while the pork soup with its generous portion of seafood was aromatic and irresistibly flavorful. And that Vietnamese crepe (or pancake) dish was as good as I could remember: it had a crunchy thin crust with thin slides of pork and butterflied shrimp, onions and beansprouts. The crepe came with fresh lettuce, carrot, cilantro, and a dipping fish sauce that shared that irresistible smooth and sweet taste signature. Before our visit to the restaurant, we noticed it had 5 star rating across the board on Google Map but we were skeptical. Rarely we agreed with establishments with 5 star rating. That was rare until the first bite from Dang’s pho brisket that melt all our doubts away, once and for all.

Google
Nice service. The tofu banh mi and hu tieu kho are pretty bland. The do chua was pretty mushy and bland, and the baguette wasn't crispy. Not a lot of herbs or pickles inside the sandwich. The hu tieu broth on the side was pretty good but the noodles and its toppings were pretty bland. Bland bland bland chives and scallions, bland sauce, bland meat.

Food is always super tasty and the staff is very friendly ♥️

Google
Dang's is verifiably some of the best Vietnamese food in the greater Baton Rouge area. Their boba is addictive, their crispy duck is mouthwatering, and their phò outshines any other restaurant I've been to. It's the perfect rainy day comfort food, our go-to celebratory dinner, and the warmest bowl of home. They load you up with sweet/salty bone broth, bright veggies, and loads of meat or seafood (your preference). Pair that with an iced Thai milk tea and I've yet to meet anyone who wasn't impressed. 10/10 we come here all the time and we love it. Cannot recommend it enough.

Google
This is some of the BEST Pho and service. The outside keeps this a true hidden gem! Inside there is water fountains, fish tanks and LOTS of betta fish to keep you company while you enjoy truly home cooked food. Stop looking for a place to eat and just come here already and enjoy some of the best Vietnamese food around!!

Yelp
First of all, I was immediately greeted by a very friendly young Vietnamese gentleman who was quick to attend to me. I was allowed to select my table and he quickly came to serve me a beverage and returned to take my order. I always go for the Combination Pho (extra large, of course) anytime I visit a Vietnamese restaurant that I've never been to. I also try the fresh spring rolls. In this case, I decided on Pork and Shrimp. The Pho broth was both temperature hot and flavorful, just what I needed on a cold day. The spring rolls were light and refreshing, but balanced and packed with flavor. Located in an older shopping mall off Florida Boulevard, this unassuming restaurant has a beautiful charm as soon as you walk through the door. Quiet, private and very tastefully decorated for an inviting dining experience.

Yelp
Food is always delicious. Staff are kind and offer suggestions. The ambiance is a bit "rustic" but don't let that sway you.

Bella C.

Yelp
The food is great! Everything was very tasty! We had pad Thai, steam buns with grilled pork and pho, and everything was delicious. The portions are good, the pad Thai has a good kick, if you are sensitive to spice, let the server know. The pho was good too. The service is very effective, staff is very helpful and kid, I was surprised at how fast food came! The ambience of the place is chill and quiet. Some music in the background playing, but nothing craWe liked the Negative side: they don't have a baby changing table... it is a boomer, because I really like this place, but without a way to change my baby's diaper it is difficult for me to consider going back... and changing the baby's diaper in my car is not an option, no when index temperature is 110*F outside... other than that, this is a good place.

Roland M.

Yelp
Great take out. Nice portions of Pho A little light on the shrimp only 5 in extra large PHO Plenty of noodles and sprouts but light on seafood only 2 pieces of squid and 5 small shrimp

Aubrey N.

Yelp
Best Vietnamese in Baton Rouge. Spicy Beef Soup is to Die For. Older place, classic of Baton Rouge.

Mark H.

Yelp
This is the original Vietnamese food restaurant of Baton Rouge. It is now in third generation ownership. I remember moving to br 30 plus years ago and this place and plaza thriving and still is some of the business. Authentic rich flavor. Great service, to go orders and delivery apps all apply. There are several good Viet places but none top Dangs in Baton Rouge. They aren't open Sundays only draw back but phenomenal on everything else

Kyle M.

Yelp
We have been going to Dangs for 3 to 4 years. Today was the worst tasting pho we have gotten from the restaurant. Not sure of it is a one off or if they have changed management or the recipe. It has always been consistent until now. It has been a little pricey. $17 for the xl pho is a bit much, but I was willing to pay because it was above average. Today was less than desirable. The biggest red flag was the sign in the bathroom saying: PLEASE DO NOT FLISH TOILET PAPER.

Gabe L.

Yelp
Quiet place not many people during lunch hour. Really enjoyed the Pho and very nice people. Also very attentive to anything you may need.

Kaneisha C.

Yelp
Dangs is great. Consistent and open late compared to other pho spots. They also have kid sizes which I appreciate, as a mom of 4 little ones who like pho. I've only tried the duck, egg rolls, and pho but I've enjoyed them all. My husband wasn't a fan of the duck.

Kurt C.

Yelp
The Pho is great and I just love the vermicelli bowl . I've been very pleased with Dangs .The egg roll or great. I gonna give the fried rice a try next time. Service is fast and friendly.

Joaquin J.

Yelp
Always DANG GOOD !!!! The food is very tasty , the atmosphere is friendly and staff is very attentive.

Karrie C.

Yelp
We are stopping by Baton Rouge for the night t So decided to have Pho. Came here, the service is great, our waiter is nice and welcoming, we have no complaint. Ordered and the kid's pho came out first, I was stirring it and blowing it to cool it off for our 2 yr old daughter... as I mixing it... I found something shiny. It's a Long piece of metal from the type of sponge people use to scrub dishes.

Lyle S.

Yelp
The food is Dang good here, for sure. The service is even better. We will always be back.

Trisha B.

Yelp
So glad I finally found a place to get legit Vietnamese food in Baton Rouge. Don't get me wrong, some other places do it decent, but I just can't justify paying their prices. Dang's is over off Florida Blvd by Vinh Phat and all the other Asian goodies. So you know it's gotta be legit Viet food. They have all the Viet items I could dream about - banh mi, pho, banh xeo (Vietnamese crepe), rice dishes, vermicelli dishes, and even che. The only thing I'm not sure whether they have is bun bo hue. Oh well. If I'm going to eat pho or banh mi, I need to get the dac biet (it pretty much means 'special' or 'combination'). Go big or go home, right? I'm happy to say that Dang's does it right. They absolutely did not skimp on the portions. And their prices are cheaper than many other Vietnamese restaurants. And did I mention that they have Thai GREEN Milk Tea?! Less than $4 too! Highly highly recommend Dang's if you want relatively authentic Vietnamese food

Dakota N.

Yelp
The Spicy Beef Soup is so good!! I can't get enough of it. I add wontons and extra meat but the portions are great without the additions. The egg rolls are very delicious too

Max D.

Yelp
Amazing food, quick service, and comfortable restaurant. Very nice server. Banh Mi so yummy and Chicken Pho as well.

Traci B.

Yelp
Always amazing and fresh! The staff is super friendly and attentive! Portions are generous. The restaurant is small but always clean. It's one of my son's all time favorite!

Teresa W.

Yelp
I had never been here before but I had heard that the Pho here was excellent so I finally ordered a takeout order of rare steak Pho and a order of eggrolls. They were out out of the pork ones so I got the seafood eggrolls. The Pho was so delicious that my granddaughter and I are planning a lunch trip for dine in soon. I didn't care that much for the seafood eggrolls but my husband devoured them and liked his fingers He loved them. So if you've never been you should go. The place is located in the shopping center next to Sonnys BBQ.

Keith H.

Yelp
Dang's is one of the oldest and best Vietnamese Restaurants in Baton Rouge! This simple establishment is tucked into the same shopping center as the Vinh Phat Market. It is locally owned and run. They have some of the best Vietnamese dishes I have ever been served. The menu is extensive and includes all your favorites, as well as many dishes you probably haven't tried yet. Their Pho is fantastic, and is a staple of their clientele, as are the vermicelli bowls. They have great appetizers, including a whole listing of various spring rolls. Stir fry and noodle dishes are plentiful, and excellent. One area that I usually neglect is the drinks. There are a variety of lemonades, teas, and other concoctions that I need to check out more. If you are new to Vietnamese cuisine or want to try some new dishes, do not hesitate to ask the wait staff for help. They will guide you in your culinary journey! The service here is always good, and your dishes generally will be delivered amazingly quickly.

Yelp
Whenever I come to Baton Rouge for work, I make sure to go out of my way to get to Dang's. It is the absolute best Vietnamese cuisine I've ever had (and I've had plenty). The pho, spring rolls, vermicelli bowls, crispy duck, etc. It's all so good.

John B.

Yelp
My search for vegetarian restaurants in Baton Rouge yielded this suburban strip mall Vietnamese spot. The space might generously be called utilitarian, but if you're expecting that, you can find some good food. Their menu was descriptive, which I appreciate. Even their vegetarian menu had some vegetable selections that weren't to my taste, but I was able to find something I wanted: namely a tofu and noodle stir fry with an indescribable yet brown flavor that was enhanced by the hot sauce options at the table. The rolls I ordered were rather simple; noodles, mint, and tofu, but I got good mileage out of them, and the accompanying peanut sauce was substantial. On a quiet night, there were certainly no worries about service, and my food came out quite quickly, with the rolls arriving inside of ten minutes and the noodles before I'd finished a single roll. It didn't quite match up on deliciousness with some of the excellent Vietnamese places I've found in New Orleans, but I was certainly happy.

Ahmani M.

Yelp
Since there's not that many good Vietnamese restaurants near LSU campus, I decided to take a little bit of a longer drive to try a new place called Dang's. I ordered the Grilled Chicken rice plate. I typically get this from Vietnamese places because I find it very tasty and filling, but also interesting to see the differences from each restaurant. The dish was good. It comes with the grilled chicken, rice, pickled vegetables, and a side of fish sauce. The food came out pretty fast (under 10 minutes). The atmosphere is a little different than the outside would make you believe. The restaurant is located in a plaza type area and with one door you're led to believe that it's pretty small but the inside is decently sized and it's nice to look at the various pieces of art on the wall.

Dawn W.

Yelp
Service was quick and server was really friendly and attentive. The food is absolutely delicious! This isn't my first time here and it definitely won't be my last.

Emily L.

Yelp
These people in here are so nice! I love getting their spring rolls, Pad Thai and their green tea milk tea. I absolutely love their flavor that their Pad Thai has, it's absolutely delicious.

Jamie B.

Yelp
The best Vietnamese food in Baton Rouge! Food is AMAZING and the staff is wonderful! The fried spring rolls are rollin!! If you haven't tried them.... do!! Make sure you order your own because you won't want to share! It is definitely a hidden little gem!

Tori C.

Yelp
I am beginning to love more Vietnamese-inspired food as I age! Dang's is an authentic restaurant with very nice food. I have tried the crispy duck buns, the shrimp spring rolls, and their classic milk tea with boba. I have been impressed by all three items and definitely will be returning. The staff is so nice and the aesthetic is comfortable and peaceful.

Tif M.

Yelp
I'm a first timer. I called over the phone for a pickup, the lady who answer had completely satisfying customer service, as we both got a little confused on what I ordered. We chuckled it over and she let me know my order will be ready in 15 mins. I order the pho (combination) and my boyfriend order the combination plate fried rice with pork. My pho was so delicious and as for my boyfriend he enjoyed his plate as well. We will be definitelyy going back for more.

Melody N.

Yelp
I was in heaven today when I stopped here! Their Pho is amazing and they offer Zucchini noodles instead of vermicelli. Some may find that offensive but I was very excited about this. It was AWESOME. And of course i had to try their Banh Mi which was EXCELLENT and perfect to dip in my Pho broth. They have a varied menu and also offer Boba Tea. They were very friendly and I can't wait to bring my son so he can watch the Coi Fish swimming around in the fish tank. Despite the old building they keep it very clean. The food was very fresh and delicious! New favorite spot. I was also curious about their crispy salt & pepper tofu and may try that next time. Mmmmmmmmmmm. Update - came a 2nd time and I'm even more obsessed. Got the shrimp pho this time with Zoodles and an egg Heaven!! I enjoyed the unsweet jasmine tea but they have a Nice tea selection .

Connie C.

Yelp
Great experience! Our waiter served us with an enthusiastic VIP attitude. The owner stopped by our table many times to make sure everything exceeded our expectations too. The chicken spring rolls are a refreshing appetizer. Although a little pricey-- GET IT. It's the best way to start this truly authentic pho experience. I'll be honest and pass on the salted lemonade though. I'm more of a sweet than salty person ;) The XL pho bowl is definitely extra large, but I'm a petite gal and was able to finish the whole thing! Champ. Overall, great experience and will be back.

Chef T.

Yelp
Pretty solid pho although a bit sweeter than what I am used to. They have super small options which is great. Nice family owned joint, drove here from Houston on my way back to NYC and thoroughly enjoyed this as a pit stop.

Allison R.

Yelp
Best Vietnamese food in BR, no cap. The real deal. We love it here!!

Amy Z.

Yelp
First time here, yay! Been meaning to try it out, but it's about of the way for us. We came for lunch after going to the movies. This place definitely has the feel of a traditional Vietnamese restaurant (in America) when you sit down and peruse the menu. The food also tastes that way too. We started off with Vietnamese iced coffee and crispy duck. The duck skin was nice and crispy with sauce drizzled over the top and comes with buns on the side. I got a rice plate and Boyfriend got a vermicelli bowl. All spot on, meeting expectations. Will be back to try the pho, of course!

Bee S.

Yelp
First time trying pho and it was great! The broth, noodles, freshness and crunch from the fresh ingredients/ condiments made a big difference. The only thing I didn't like is the meat/ beef was pretty tough and not tender. Other then that I would have given it 5 stars.

Caroline F.

Yelp
This is the best Vietnamese Restaurant in BR! Located on Sherwood Blvd in a plaza! Both times I've been here had been during their off hours so I can't say much about possible wait time, but there were definitely other people eating there. The food here is really yummy. Feels like vietnamese food I'd get in Houston! I love their duck entrees and would definitely recommend it to anyone! Their roast duck is tender and very flavorful and I see myself getting this multiple times in the future. I have also tried their vermicelli bowl and their spring rolls and they taste very fresh and authentic! I love how much cilantro they put in their spring rolls. We also tried their duck bao and that was very delicious as well. Definitely recommend this place and would happily come here again!

James L.

Yelp
Dang is dang good. Now that is out of the way. I ordered the Chicken and Eggroll Vermicelli minus the cilantro and The Salt and Pepper Crispy Fried Tofu. I will be the first to admit I am not a tofu guy ( It's a texture thing). But this Crispy a fried Tofu was delicious. The texture was still somewhat of issue but not enough to keep me from eating it. As for the Vermicelli dish it was very good. Decent prices and great service.

FJ T.

Yelp
Round steak Pho @ Dang's in Baton Rouge. A bit too much herb added but the #pho base had great flavor Simply remove some of the herb off the top. However was NOT impressed with the almost meatless springrolls.

Greg M.

Yelp
I was looking for Vietnamese food and quick. Turns out this place is quaint quiet and qualifies for 3.5-4 stars from me. There's not much I can say about this place although I'm not gonna go without trying. Here's the rundown: * The location doesn't make it seem like there's a food joint. * More than enough room for parking. * Hole in the wall type of place. * Not much people during the evening. * Has a couple of tables (place seems it can handle 25 people) * Price is decent. Now onto the food. I didn't try the seafood pho but I got the regular pho with brisket and meatball. The broth is quite good although I've had great pho in Southern California. The brisket is great. That was the best part of the pho. Be sure to get this. They give you quality hoisin sauce and the Sriracha that we are all accustomed to. Their mint leaves are huge. I have yet to try the bahn mi (po boy) however I got it to go and will update when I eat it. The Asian food spots here are far apart (up to 15 minute drive it seems) so go here if you're close and in the mood for pho. Just to be clear I was in the area and just went here. Would I recommend this place? Only for the brisket pho.

Raven J.

Yelp
I don't know if it's just nostalgia, but I remember this place having better food around 5 years ago. Recently my sugar father and I decided to make the trip to Dang's to celebrate our successful sacrifice of 7 virgins to Cthulu. While the service was great, the food was mediocre to bad. I got the beef and eggroll vermicelli and it was okay... nothing compared to some of the other Vermicelli I've had in the city. The pho was bland. I'm not sure if they were having a bad broth day, but it was not good and required a lot of spicing up. The tofu bánh mì had the most potential, but even then I was unimpressed with the quality. Overall, will probably not be back unless Cthulu demands it.

Nadine A.

Yelp
The staff is so nice and the food is delicious. Got the rare steak pho and spring rolls! So far the best pho I've had in BRLA. Definitely going to be coming back!!

Bailey R.

Yelp
Have always loved this place. Very friendly staff and great food. I would recommend the vermicelli and milk tea. Delicious!

Jacob O.

Yelp
Great food for a good price. The Hu Tieu and the egg rolls were amazing. Service was stellar, and there was almost no wait for our food. Definitely will be going here again.

Austin F.

Yelp
It was a crowded Sunday when we waited anxiously for a table. I was starving so I knew I'd be forgiving for the wait and in effect the food. Unfortunately on this visit- the food took so long, the service so confused and the flavors so lacking that I submit to you, oh wondrous Yelpers, this 2 star review. The girl that took our order didn't write anything down so they forgot 2 items. Then the food started arriving. Not all together mind you- so that my dining companions were done by the time my bowl arrived. Honestly I wouldn't care if the food was up to snuff- but it wasn't- let me explain in the hopes they read this. The seafood crepe was a joke. This is supposed to a crispy, slightly gooey shell filled studded with pork and shrimp, filled perhaps with beansprouts. Ya know? We've all had a good one. This was an oily soggy mess and COMPLETELY raw in the middle. I knew they were backed up so didn't bother sending it back. Wife's pho arrived and it's all about the broth. This broth? S-W-E-E-T. Like sugar bomb sweet and no discernible spices (i'm looking at you star anise, clove, cinnamon etc.) They were no where to be found. They left out the brisket and gave double tripe (not the order) so there was that too. Friend's chicken pho was ok he said- but tough pieces of chicken breast made it laborious. The only highlight was mine- the bun bo hue. This was pretty spot on broth wise- spicy bright aromatic but the meat within was tough and sinewy- and where's my pork knuckle? Also clear that they were using low quality thin sliced luncheon ham- just lowish quality in meats across the board. the search for righteous vietnamese food in the red stick continues.

Keith F.

Yelp
This place hit the mark in several key areas. The service was friendly enough and actually got better as the meal went on. The spring rolls were as good as it gets. They have several options in that department and I went with shrimp. The hoison and peanut sauce was spot on as well. For my entree I had a chicken noodle dish labeled as spicy. It was quite tasty but I wanted it to be a little more spicy. The price was very reasonable. It looks a little divey but it wasn't scary.

Melissa H.

Yelp
This little hole in the wall is amazing!!!! Blew me away with just how yummy everything was. We had a chef with us and he couldn't believe how good every last bite was. The pork fried rice was the best I've ever had in my life! The fish sauce wings are to die for. If you are reading this, just go in and get something, anything because it was all amazing. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming.

Brooke E.

Yelp
In a shopping center, off Florida. It's such a hole in the wall place, but do not judge a book by its cover. Went for lunch on a workday. Quick service and the staff is friendly. I got the shrimp Pho and my coworkers and I shared orders of the shrimp spring rolls and chicken spring rolls. Everything was so good and filling. I totally recommend.

Mike T.

Yelp
Great place to dine in to eat some Vietnamese food. Atmosphere is really relaxing with the sounds of a water fountain dripping or and chill type music. I've eaten the pho here and it's great, but I'm more of a rice person so I normally get the grilled chicken or pork with rice and everything like eggs veggies shredded pork and such. I believe it's family owned so the staff is all family members. So if it gets busy you will have to wait a little bit, but it's not longer than most places like a chili's or something. The price is okay, but it's not something I could do everyday. I spend roughly 40 dollars on 2 meals 2 drinks and 1 appetizer. Overall, I come here to fill my craving for Vietnamese food. =)

Angie T.

Yelp
Dang, am I glad I tried this place. Haha. I started with a nice refreshing glass of the Viet lemonade. That drink knocked my socks off. I really like lemonade but this one was sweeter and not as tangy as most and very delicious. We then had an order of the egg rolls which were crispy and warm and bursting with flavor. They didn't even need the accompanying dipping sauce but it did enhance the flavor in a very nice way when I dipped one of my pieces into it. For our entrees we had a bowl of pho and split a grilled pork bahn mi. The pho was phenomenal and that bahn mi was out of this world. It's been three weeks and I'm still craving another one of those sandwiches. I could have easily eaten two or three or seven. Yum! Go give Dang's a try! You'll be dang happy you did!

Quynh D.

Yelp
There are not great options for Vietnamese food in Baton Rouge. At least in my opinion. It's either too pricey for what it is, or just not up to moms cooking. But who can beat Mom's cooking, am i right? Dang's is not exactly in a premiere location, but i liked the food and it didn't necessarily disappoint. We got the spring rolls, the duck appetizer, pho Dac biet, and a banh mi dac biet as well. I have to say i wasn't a fan of the duck, and i didn't like how much lettuce was in the spring rolls - too much IMO. The pho, however, was delicious. I went in on a cold night so it was even more perfect! The flavors were on point, and they weren't stingy with meats. The banh mi was good flavor wise, but i could tell it wasn't Dong Phuong bread. Can't blame them for not using Dong Phuong bread, though Overall, i would technically give it 3 1/2 stars because there were a few things i didn't care for. However, with the service and the prices, i honestly can't complain. With everything that we ordered including a freshly squeezed lemonade, and a Diet Coke, our entire meal was right under $50! (Not including tip, of course).

Rozelyn P.

Yelp
Great dessert drinks, and the pho is simmered with love. Great beef broth! It's definitely one of my top five places to have pho!
