Unjustified and Inhumane Treatment – Avoid This Hostel
I rarely write reviews, but this experience was too outrageous not to share. Our group of around 70 college students stayed at this hostel, and due to three students allegedly not cleaning up properly, the hostel decided to throw away thousands of dollars’ worth of groceries—food meant to feed all 70 of us.
As if that wasn’t enough, they removed all kitchenware: pots, pans, utensils, cups, bowls, plates—everything. That left dozens of students with no way to prepare a meal for themselves. Their reasoning? Because three people were messy.
There was zero compassion, zero communication, and zero accountability. College students often travel on tight budgets and rely on preparing their own meals. Forcing students to eat out in one of the most expensive countries in Europe because of the actions of a few is not only unfair—it’s unethical.
If you’re a large group or value fairness, empathy, and basic decency, do not stay here. If you’re okay with collective punishment and moral disregard, then maybe this place is for you.
This hostel’s response to a minor issue was not just disproportionate—it was downright hostile.
