Went here for a little pre-birthday dinner and it did not disappoint. Warm welcome straight away walking in. Very well taken care of throughout the entire stay. Even got a miniature birthday cake as well as personalised birthday wishes left with the menu as a reminder of the night. Then sea bass was my absolute favourite of the night, such a delicious dish. Could have that as a main course any day of the week.

We spent our anniversary there and it was so much fun! The staff was great and everyone was really excited to be celebrating our anniversary with us. The food was delicious. Every dish was the best thing I've ever tasted. I especially loved the pasta dish and the wagyu steak. The desserts were amazing as well. One of the best restaurants we've ever been to!

There was a moment of extreme precision when they included my guests’ name into the menu. Loved that! The food was exceptional. Each course was layered with beautifully defined flavours and an elegance that never felt forced. There’s a clarity and restraint to the cooking that still manages to be deeply expressive—one of those meals where you find yourself talking about each dish long after it’s gone. Wine pairings were well throughout. Each pairing complimentary in a way that does not distract from the cuisine — quietly evoking confidence in stellar wine selections. The dining room itself is immaculate: serene, polished, and designed with a level of detail that enhances the overall experience without ever demanding attention. It sets the stage for a meal that feels truly special. Can’t say much more than what has already been said about the washroom! From start to finish, the evening was seamless. A very well-deserved Michelin star! We had the 3-course meal, which truly felt like a 5-course experience. Every dish flowed beautifully into the next — from the amuse-bouche to dessert, there was an effortless harmony and balance. The plates managed to be both complex and simple at the same time: elegant presentation, thoughtful ingredients, and flavors that were adventurous yet deeply comforting. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable — not only about the food but also the wine. They could tell you about the region the wine came from, the history behind it, and even the story of the ingredients on your plate. You can see right into the kitchen — it’s spotless, full of life, and the team moves like a well-orchestrated performance. The timing of each dish was impeccable. The Wagyu beef was probably one of the best things I’ve ever tasted — melt-in-your-mouth perfection. I also appreciated that the focus was entirely on flavor and craft rather than on over-the-top theatrics that often accompany fine dining. The caviar was top-notch — exquisite for those who love it. And the dessert… absolutely divine. I usually don’t eat white chocolate, but somehow the texture and balance made it all work perfectly.

Went over the weekend with a few friends to celebrate a birthday. We had made reservations, so when we arrived, we were asked if we wanted to check our coats (optional) and seated right away. Water was provided (sparkling or still) while being given time to choose between their Prix Fix or Signature Tasting Menu. We chose the latter. The pace of the dinner was very quick and good at the beginning, but then slowed down significantly just after halfway. In terms of the course, all were beautifully presented and tasty, except the dessert at the end. For this type of dining (we have been to quite a few other 1 Stars), we had much higher expectations of the execution and taste, so were disappointed by the end of the meal. The desserts served were at best on par with ones you can buy at a grocery store. It's also the first restaurant that there were not 1 of each type of the Petit Fours per person. We were instructed to share them, which would normally be fine, but they were hard, so cutting them in half was difficult and messy. The service however was stellar! One server even noticed based on placement of water glass that one of us was left-handed and asked to ensure that they would place the cutlery on the correct side. The table was cleared off between each course. Overall a pretty decent dinner.

What an incredible experience. This place truly earned its Michelin star. The food was divine, the atmosphere is beautiful, the presentation was out of this world. Service was above all else. DaNico is one of a kind

Great little venue with some delicious food. The chicken pate taco starter was kind of… gross.. but the rest of the food that came was stellar. Our server was great, but the reason I’m giving this place 4 stars is because she pre-selected the 22% tip option before handing us the payment machine. She probably does that to all her customers. I changed it back to 20% myself, but that little act just irked me to finish off the night.

I reserved table a couple of months ago for our Pearl anniversary. We enjoy every moments and dishes prepared for us as we select the Signature Tasting menu. We appreciate the chef using a lot of local ingredients demonstrating his chef team's skill and expression of the ingredients. We really appreciate and enjoy the Ontario Venison which is so tender and less gamey taste. The Chilean sea bass and Wagyu tenderloin are exceptional dishes. As a conclusion of the tasting menu, the overwhelming varieties of desserts are bombshelled our stomachs. Thanks for your courtesy service and small gift for our anniversary.

We had an unforgettable birthday dinner for my best friend at Da Nico, and it was truly an amazing experience! The presentation of each dish was stunning, and the service was absolutely top-notch--definitely Michelin star-worthy. We went with the tasting menu, and it was the perfect way to enjoy the best dishes from Chef Daniele. Each course was a masterpiece, showcasing incredible flavors and creativity. A special shoutout to Marco, who went above and beyond to take care of us throughout the evening. His attention to detail and friendly demeanor made the night even more special. However, I do want to share one point of feedback. I had booked a bar table and arrived at 5:10 PM, asking if there was any dining table available. They said no, which was understandable at the time. But by the time we finished our dinner, there were still two dining tables empty. Since I had an early reservation, I feel they could have accommodated us for a more comfortable experience at a dining table. Despite this, the food and service were fantastic, and we left very satisfied. I'd still highly recommend Da Nico for anyone looking for a top-tier dining experience!

I went to Danico to celebrate my birthday and the service was amazing. The staff made me feel so special - including a birthday dessert with candle, birthday card and gift. The atmosphere was also so lovely! The kitchen is open in the back and you can see the chefs in action. I had the crab salad to start, followed by the seafood pasta, and lastly the cod. These were all of their most popular dishes suggested by our server. The food was good, great presentation, but none of it really wow'd me or blew me away. Despite the portions being on the smaller side, between the complimentary course, bread and dessert, I left the restaurant so full! It's a great experience overall. I had a lovely birthday celebration with friends. I just won't be running back to dine here again any time soon.

DaNico truly lives up to its Michelin rating. The signature tasting menu was exceptional--each dish crafted with quality and care. Even the dessert was unique and memorable. Service was impeccable, making the entire experience well worth it. Highly recommended!

While their signature tasting menu ($225) looks Italian on paper, what arrives turns more Asian as the courses progress. Their bread service is completely European featuring crispy flatbread, fluffy focaccia, and brioche studded with blue cheese and salami. Paired with a dish of intensely flavoured olive oil and soft churned butter... there's no mistaken the origins of these carbs. While the granchio al gusto Mediterrandeo has a Thai or Indian aesthetic in its presentation, the wild red king crab salad is Mediterranean in flavour with the tiny chunks of olives. Pretty to look at but not the tastiest: the crab was tough, and the edible lace decal had a bitter undertone. At least the dish paired well with the wine ($120 for the classic pairing). The anatra all' arancia highlighted French influences. Even though the skin could be crispier, the slices of duck breast were so tender and cooked perfectly. Using star anise and cinnamon may seem strange for duck, but the spices complimented the citrus taste of the pickled endive and held up against the stronger meat. My recommendation is to save a piece of focaccia to polish off the foie gras foam (served in the duck foot vessel) and the fennel purée, these great sauces should not be wasted. Our table universally loved the spaghettoni ai funghi locali e tartufo nero and we were sad as three forkfuls was not enough. DaNico takes the high-end Pastificio dei Campi spaghetti, cooks it in mushroom broth, and finishes it with aged parmigiano Reggiano and black truffle shavings. For something cooked in broth I expected the pasta to be more flavourful. Perhaps, this would be even better made with a fresh pasta? This is a long review head to Gastro World for the rest.

Food lived up to the hype. Service was on point. Ambiance was cozy despite the high ceilings and large restaurant size. Thank you to the team at Danico for making our wedding anniversary a memorable one.

This is the must go to spot for great food with a creative flare! Situated inside a historical restored bank, the atmosphere is wonderful and unique. In terms of the full experience you must order the $225 tasters menu! Michelin Chef Daniele has once again set a new benchmark for his creativity and presentation. I'm not going to critique each dish but in summary, you will not be disappointed. They also have an exceptional wine list. Too bad I cannot post all my pictures. One more thing...it will lighten your wallet somewhat but at least you and your guest will totally enjoy the experience!

The whole new restaurant only has a couple of tables on a Wednesday. It does NOT allow cockages, and you cannot bring your wine. The food served could be better. The appetizers were too pretentious and tasted no good. Pasta is much better but needs to be hotter when served. The main course is a disaster, with fish cooked like half-cooked sashimi. The miso cod fish was better, but it is not special at all, and many Japanese restaurants make it a lot better. Lastly, the petite four are good. Service is quite good and this is a plus point. The ambience is soso as not enough people in the restaurant.
