Beautiful views copperas falls is a good trail if you don't mind crossing a creek but don't have to climb up or down hills as your following the creek bed to the falls then natural bridge you can take the sky lift or the trail but the trail is full of steps I like to take the lift up and walk down

Daniel Boone National Forest is an absolute gem. The sheer beauty and ruggedness of the landscape are breathtaking. With over 600 miles of trails, there's something for every skill level, from easy scenic walks to challenging backcountry adventures. The natural arches, waterfalls, and cliff formations are stunning, and the sense of peace you find here is unmatched. It's a perfect escape for anyone looking to connect with nature and explore the heart of Kentucky. A truly unforgettable experience every time.

We visited Natural Bridge Park in early fall. The weather was amazing, the signage is easy to follow and the employees were very helpful. We took the skylift up and explored for 3 hours going over the natural bridge then squeezing through fat mans misery to traverse under it and following well marked paths to explore all around. We went to the look out point to see the bridge from a whole different angle and took many, many photos while simply soaking in the majesty of the area. The skylift ride back down was impressive! We would definitely go back and we feel we could happily make the voyage up and/or down on foot next time, but don't pass on the skylift for the experience and views alone! Highly recommend!!!

Awesome !! Absolutely beautiful. The kind of place you want to take your kids to show them that there is still unscarred and non-urbanized land is this beautiful and wonderful country. While there, teach them that keeping it that way depends on them… and that you will do everything in your power to help them. Without their buy-in and your encouragement, places like this will fade.

Spent a weekend around the Natural Land Bridge in Red River Gorge. We stayed at the resort park's cabins, which were spacious (although lacking in cleanliness) and they have a lovely & simple continental breakfast. Among my biggest highlights were the Natural Land Bridge, the Princess Arch, and the many little gems you find just driving the roads through the forest. I advise researching your hikes before doing them, many in the area are moderate to more difficult, so beginning hikers take caution and plan for extra time!

Loved the little hike we took before heading back home. There is a self pay if you to the arca first. You grab and fill out your own parking ticket. Parking is $5 if you have $5 if not you can just put in w.e you have.

Well kept and well marked trails, so many options from easy to hard, long loops to short lookouts. Many different landscapes from cliffs, to forests, to rivers and waterfalls. Plenty of parking. The views throughout the forest are absolutely stunning. Our first time here but we will definitely be back.

This was my very first time camping and I just have to say that I had such a blast! The views were incredibly beautiful and I loved the hikes and everything else I came across while camping. I feel like staying just for the weekend didn't do it justice. However I know that I will definitely be returning definitely recommended for nature lovers and campers. And such a great place for the whole family!

Yelp
My hiking group from Michigan decided to visit this trail over the weekend. We had a great time. Although the trail was labeled as moderate, we felt the end was probably more challenging than not. Maybe it was moderate for those who are used to it and live in Kentucky. Things got really steep and slippery. Nevertheless, we had a great time. There's parking all over the forest and many hikers ! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. #NatureLovers.

Yelp
Been to Daniel Boone several times now, each time getting better than the last. The National Forest itself stretches far in Kentucky and houses many great places like Cave Run Lake and the famous Red River Gorge. Most recently, we used the AllTrails App to find a nice trail with a waterfall. We stumbled upon Copperas Falls, an unofficial trail. This was easily one of my top "fun" hikes. You cross over a gorgeous flowing creek several times, between tons of huge fallen rock until you dead end into a gorgeous 40ft waterfall. This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Daniel Boone. Cave Run Lake, a bit further south, is a gorgeous blue lake full of boaters and campers a like. The campground was awesome. Each time we've been, we've noticed that everyone follows the 'leave no trace' policy, keeping this a pretty clean forest. The most trash I've ever seen is a few orange peels off the trail. Most (probably all) of the roads back into the forest are very nicely paved and marked signs are everywhere. Will keep coming back!

Yelp
This is one of the parks that we visit. It's close to natural bridge resort, but it was open during the pandemic. It has beautiful views too! The place was well maintained, clean and plenty of trails to choose from. Trails varies from .5 mile to 10 miles. Don't forget to bring your water, sunblock and bug spray. There's a picnic area with tables and benches, portable toilets, and parking before you go in the trails. The trails were well marked if you are looking for the markers, it helps to have trails app on you if you are planning on hiking the longer trails. The app will help you find your way. The further you go, there less signs of the trails, but has markers such as diamonds on the trees. To avoid accidents it also helps a lot to wear appropriate shoes. During our hike, this park allows dogs as long as they are on leash.

Yelp
The Daniel Boone National forest was originally named the Cumberland National forest, but was later changed in 1966 to honor the late explorer Daniel Boone. The Daniel Boone forest is a popular recreational and tourist destination for millions of visitors each year. There are gorgeous landmarks, trails, wilderness areas, and state parks. Whether you are just driving through and want to see the beautiful view, or get out and walk a trail, or hike a bit and glimpse nature even more up close and personal, the Daniel Boone National Forest will make happy memories you won't forget.

Yelp
I visited the DBNF in August 2019. We hiked the Copperas Creek Trail. Loved it! Great little hike, the trees allowed for it to be shaded the whole way. Everyone we met on the trail was very friendly which was great because the trail is not marked. Its a pretty clear path as long as you follow the creek. Since this was our 1st adventure on this trail we were not sure we were headed on the right path to the falls. Luckily each person we passed reassured us.

Yelp
Small trail but fun. I've wanted to walk at the park but is closed do to flooding. Seems like park maintenance does a good job up keeping.

Yelp
Gorgeous!!! So much fun for everyone! I always love going here! There's many trails, bridges, places to swim, amazing views, and many more fun activities; hiking, kayaking, etc. This forest covers a lot of land so there's many different places to go and things to do.

Yelp
Stunning views, beautiful place to take your dogs hiking. I would recommend spending a few days in this area as there is a lot to see.
