Danish Museum of Science and Technology

Nice collection of various aircraft, vehicles and technological marvels to see. Some things are interactive and can be touched. There is not much info about most of the things, would be nice to learn some history about some items, but all in all worth a visit.

It's a very nice museum. However, other reviewers are right: vast majority of exhibits have only Danish information. There is very little English, despite to what someone from museum staff was saying in their reply. I am taking one star for it as it makes things difficult for international visitor and the staff spreading disinformation online does not help. However the staff in the ticket office / cafe speaks brilliant English and coild not be nicer. Keep your coat on, the halls are quite chilly (i guess there is no chance to hear such big halls well). Also, enigma machine exhibit description which i google translated from Danish says the code was broken in bletchley park. This is not true, the enigma machine code was broken by the Polish Cypher Bureau well before the war. They gave all the methods and mathematical apparatus to their allies before the war started. So yes, while Bletchley park was doing a great job breaking the codes and upgrading their methods after Germans introduced the four-cog version of the machine, they were only able to do so because they knew how to do it thanks to the Poles.

Great indoors place for a visit with kids. We went there on a rainy day and it was a success. It is a bit out of Copenhagen and not extremely crowded as usually other places can be. They have a little cafe and also an area where you can enjoy your own snacks. We will definitely go back :)

I'll admit this museum hit me hard because some of the old vehicles and bikes brought me some deep, deep memories. In fact, it showed me that a car can have as much history attached to it as any other tool or man-made artifact. I'm happy I visited this. Was not expecting to get emotional about it but there you go

I really loved the museum - there's a lot to see, and the exposition is very varied. The only big complaint I have is the lack of English language descriptions (some have them, most exhibits don't) and lackluster or non-existing explanations of some exhibits. I would also love some better quality and variety of museum-branded souvenirs in the gift shop - there were just some bags, pens, notebooks, postcards and very basic picture magnets to choose from.

I highly recommend visiting this museum — it’s a great experience for both children and adults. There are numerous historical exhibits where you can follow the evolution of cars, airplanes, helicopters, bicycles, space technology, and much more. A special highlight is the chance to play classic arcade machines and retro game consoles, bringing a great sense of nostalgia. The museum is large, varied, and educational — a perfect spot for a family visit.

Simply wonderful. I've been to some science museums in the US like the Hall of Science in NY or Liberty Science in NJ museums that seem more geared towards kids. This has exhibits lots of informative details.. we loved the exhibit about energy and Denmark's push for green living. My only wish was for them to have more of their displays in English too. Many are but about 40% weren't. Luckily there is Google Translate. (See how-to below) Pro Tip: download 'Google Translate' from the App Store/Google Play store and then download Danish language pack for OFFLINE with in Google Translate so can use (in case you don't have cell service). Then you can point your smartphone camera at the Danish-only placards and read them in English. It's not always perfect but it's mostly useful. ALSO some hotels offered a 20% coupon for admission. Look for it where you're staying.

A nice iconic museum in Helsingør. Very informative and sure kids will love this museum. Spacious parking available, public toilets and a small quick bite restaurant also available. You can see vintage cars and some old stuff inside. We visited on 30.10.2022, entry ticket price was 110 DKK per person, I believe this is really expensive for this place. Museum management need to consider reducing entry fee. I recommend to visit here if you want to spend some hours by roaming around (Entry fee is really expensive for this place)

I'm a regular visitor to this museum. Here you will find airplanes, cars, trucks, rescue vehicles, motorcycles, steam engines, locomotives and even a small submarine. There is also a model railway and a computer exhibit. Good place for both kids and adults. There's a lot of fun interactive activities especially for the kids. Be sure to bring some change. About half of the attractions for the kids will cost another 2-10 DKK. The information boards are in danish language only, which is quite unusual for a museum of this size. There's a small cafeteria and museum shop by the entrance.
