My husband has been eating at this stall for a while, so I finally decided to give it a try. The two men working today were absolutely hilarious! I’m not much of a carbs person, so I asked for less rice. The chef’s antics were priceless — he first scooped a tiny portion, I asked for a bit more, then it somehow became too much and he had to reduce it again. By the last bit, I didn’t dare complain, and he just said, “Why not, I’ll give you 5 grains?” Hahaha.
We shared the luncheon meat and prawn. Luncheon meat is my husband’s all-time favorite, while prawn was new for us. Between the two, the luncheon meat definitely stole the show. The egg also had a nice touch of sweetness.
It’s classic comfort food — tasty and satisfying, but yes, a little oily. A true love-hate relationship!
