The beautiful airy space is the perfect showcase for the selection of goods carefully chosen by the two sisters behind this store. A great spot for a nice piece for your flat or simply a small Copenhagen gift.

The short review is: I love DANSK things so much I'd like to move right into the space at Istedgade 80. Scandinavian minimalism with character, neutrals that are still distinctive and beautiful? It's a fine balance, but DANSK manages to hit it just right. Need a special gift, or something distinctive for your home after that pay bump? Head to DANSK. My previous statement might have tipped you off, though: this ain't cheap schtuff. To counter that: I think these are versatile functional designs that you could incorporate into a space for years to come. My favourite things are the little knick-knacks (salt and pepper shakers, desktop clocks) and all of their prints: graphic Copenhagen posters, and bright neighbourhood images from the various zones in the city. I already regret not purchasing the neon pink Frederiksberg poster. Yelp note: for those yearning from afar for Copenhagen, DANSK has a great website. For those who are nearby and need a little extra nudge in the Istedgade direction: not only DANSK but the neighbouring stores are also a delight, so, in the words of Bob Barker: come on down!
