Dante is a great place for authentic drinks and cocktails. You can choose from a huge cocktail menu and some snacks. I would recommend to try the Dante´s Favorite Negroni. Dante has both, Bar and later in the evening a club character. However, the music can get pretty loud so I cannot recommend it if you would prefer to have a chilled bar atmosphere or longer conversations.

If you like ginger ale, this bar is a must. Nowhere else I've seen Red Rock Golden Ginger Ale. At first, you'll sense the full taste of brown sugar followed by a really spicy twist of ginger. You'll still feel the spiciness on your way out. Yes, I'm reviewing the drink more than the bar here. :) But given that it's almost impossible to encounter this tasty refreshment elsewhere, I have to give the bar credit for it. :) Check out the internet, the reviews for this drink are nothing short of "best ginger ale in the world". Dante bar can be pretty busy on Saturday nights, and the layout doesn't exactly help you to get your order in. On the plus side, the crowd is friendly, stylish and international. This place is classy.

Awesome gin, awesome food, awesome service! Went to Dante on a Tuesday night and it was nice and chilled. It’s a good place to get a decent gin while in Zürich. Would defs visit if you want a decent trendy bar to hang out in.

Google
Nice bar with a cocktail side and nice bartender, the service was boring and not so professional appart of that the cocktail were quite nice. For my personal experience, it's more bar with music and ambiance with a cocktail side. It's not a complete cocktail bar, they're not aware of some classic cocktail, and it feels like the service is really relax. I think there are better cocktail bars in Zürich , but still it's a nice place where to have fun and enjoy a drink

Google
Great cocktail bar with a wide selection of cocktails and Gin. Staff is always at your disposal and give 100%. We had a great time and will visit again ! Special shout-out to the bald bartender !! What a man.

Google
Good bar in Zurich. Cocktails are well crafted and there's free popcorn. There's not too much seating available, so come early if you want to sit. Inside, the place is rather dark but still cozy. The wait for cocktails can be a bit long as they seem to be rather short staffed.

Google
Nice bar with living room atmosphere. The staff is friendly and quick even if the place is crowded, which happens quite often on Fridays and weekends. They have a pretty big selection of gin and are also very knowledgeable about it. The outdoor sitting area is a great spot in summer for people-watching.

Yelp
Super cool atmosphere but the drinks are consistently too sweet and also do not have enough alcohol im them. Also completely overboard about covid so there is limited mingling among patrons.

Yelp
Dante bar in Zürich is famous for its Negroni! There's even a separate menu for all their Negroni concoctions! Their napkins have pick up forms ready for guys. ;) A small drawback: credit needs a minimum spend of CHF50 and debit card minimum CHF15.

Yelp
What a bummer. I was severely disappointed on my most recent visit. It was fairly busy upstairs, but downstairs was dead. Despite having having 3 bartenders behind the bar, they couldn't handle our drink orders. It was a zoo! It took forever to get a drink because they are sooooo slow. Some might argue that a good drink takes time, but do you really have to stir the damn ice cubes 640 times to properly incorporate two ingredients? By the time, the bartender was finally done with our unprecedented bulk order of 3 drinks, we asked to pay with a credit card. He asked if it was all together. We said it was two cards. He shook his head in disapproval and rudely said he couldn't deal with it now - he has other drinks to make. So we walked away! He's lucky we came back to order more of the world's slowest and rudest drinks, or we may have just forgotten to pay our tab. I mean, businesses do need money to thrive, don't they? His attitude the whole night was: too cool for school. Bottom line is: their specialty is gin (I prefer, whiskey, tequila and rum to gin anyway) and they make a good cocktail, albeit pricey (15-24 CHF), but there are plenty of other magnificent cocktail bars in Zürich that make incredibly delicious drinks and manage to treat their customers like customers! Think Barfly'z, Hotel Rivington & Sons, Kronenhalle Bar, Tina Bar... and the list goes on... I'm striking Dante from my list.

Yelp
A friend suggested that we meet up for Saturday night drinks at this place. Kind of a cute interior with black-and-white checkered floor, but really slow service, and totally overpriced, weak drinks.

Yelp
In homage to the famous Italian poet Dante, I shall incorporate some rhymes, enchanté! Oh hipster place, from candles, dimly lit The sparkle of ice reflect in my eyes, as I patiently sit Dear fair barman, with beard overgrown Recommend me drink, and please don't postpone Monkey 47? A Germanic sort Heavenly taste, my tongue shan't abort Staring out the window, streaming with rain My visit seems to be lacking, did I come in vain? For as charming this gin pub may appear to be There is an inviting cozy magic, missing for me Longing for warm, friendliness Instead I glance on my wallet, of emptiness Searching for a poetic word, to describe Dante You could be so much more, but for now, you're OK Fin

Yelp
We heard about Dante and its huge assortment of around 80 Gins. Went there before dinner and it was all empty. We didn't mind and ordered a few drinks around CHF 15.- When asking for the most exotic gin in his collection, the bearded barman was happy to teach us all about the manufacturing, history and tales of a few of the rarities. Prices are ok, the service was very nice and even insightful. We crossed the bar again after dinner and it was very crowded all around the bar on the street. We will defenitly go back there... 77 Gins to go!

Yelp
I've been here over the years and never wrote a rating. I want to like this place, and like an old sweater it grew on me over the years. Firstly the checkerboard floor and the aura on the main level once you step in reminds me a little of old school village NYC (a much cleaner version). They specialize in gin... but there's a decent assortment of drinkettes here. Downstairs there is a separate smoking room, but since that is really not my scene it is good to know this place can accommodate both of types of social drinkers. My secret to success here is when I'm with a group of friends, I buy champagne by the glasses b/c mathematically buying the bottle doesn't work out better (which usually is better). Some strange reason. That was in early 2015... but being it's a cleaner version of Greenwich Village NYC place to drink swanky bubblies, why not? Another secret is my favorite Thai restaurant in Zurich is right across the street from here, so after a nice meal I stroll over here for a nice way to end the evening. ;-)

Yelp
I love this place. Though it can get crowded, especially later in the evenings, if you get there early enough, you can find a seat and converse with your friends comfortably. The drinks are all really good. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of them. The Basil Smash falls on the sweet side, but is delish; the Dark & Stormy isn't bad, but comes in a smaller glass than I'm used to. The mojitos and gin and tonics are very yummy.

Yelp
Zurich is a multi-faced city. One of these faces is trendy, with good tastes and unpretentious. Dante fits the bill perfectly in this sense. I feel it's a place of choice to have Friday evening drinks and bring visiting young, urban people who want to have a well prepared drink and meet a lively and smart crowd.

Yelp
Bar staff were deeply depressed the night we visited. After watching move with glacial slowness through the motions we left embarrassed for them
