Danube Park

During the end of our walking tour, we happened to come here before heading back to our cruise ship. It was very nice park with lot of trees and greenery all around. There was also a pond in the center with ducks. There are many busts of famous poets and painters. One can either walk or relax here for hours. The ambience was very soothing. It is at the beginning of famous pedestrian only Dunavski Street which has got a lot cafes, restaurants and shops. Many concerts and performances take place in this park. It is recognized as Protected Natural Resort by Serbia government.

"This park isn’t too large. In the center, there’s a small pond with a fountain, surrounded by extensive flat grassy areas. The entire park is shaded by green trees, and tall pine trees effectively block the strong UV rays. Even when sitting on the benches under the trees, it doesn’t feel too hot. Although there are quite a few visitors in the park during the afternoon, most of the shaded benches are occupied. Parents bring their young children to play, and there are teenage girls sitting in circles on the grass playing board games. Beautiful friends chat with each other, and young couples share intimate moments. There’s even a little girl practicing gymnastics on the grass. Over the past ten days, this journey has taken us to several parks in different countries. Besides the common feature of extensive green spaces, these parks always feel vibrant and refreshing. They are lively stages full of energy and hope. Children run on the grass, their laughter echoing; young people sit under the trees, chatting and basking in the warm sunlight. Families find their own moments of tranquility and joy. Every corner of the park seems to exude a lively atmosphere."

Such a lovely, green and specially clean park ! Even in the hottest days, the place offers a truly oasis, the grass is cold and everybody enjoys it. Families and friend can have a piknik, there is a lot of place for everyone. Worth visiting !

Very cool place. There is so much greenery and comfortable space in the park that everyone can find their place, either on a bench or on the grass. In the middle of the park there is also a pond with ducks and turtles. Unfortunately, it seems that this water is not kept very clean by the locals. But otherwise, it's a perfect place for a walk, a picnic, or just hanging out.

Love the location of the park. Great place to enjoy some green in the heart of the city!

A very sweet party is located in the center, you can reach everywhere from here. People are reliable and helpful. Enjoy it . The view in the photo is like a painting right at the park exit.

This is one of many breathing place in the city. In summer it is definitely a cool place to spend some time. The location is so near to the icecream and popcorn shops. You can even enjoy an icecream or popcorn in the nature.

It's pretty much park with trees, lawns and a pond with birds, frogs and turtles in summer. But it's pretty much nothing in winter) Pros: winter illumination and ice skating site, warm fresh lawns for picnics or activities in summer. Cons: skating site ruins normal walking, it's sad.A very few shops close early, almost no lighting 365 days in a row. A few more coffee/tee/fastfood points or even vending machines would make this place much more comfortable and walkable.
