I booked through Booking.com a comfort double room for October. I booked the room in March. A few of the facilities listed for that room are; balcony, fridge, television, wardrobe, fan, air conditioner, electronic key. I booked specifically for a balcony.|The day of check in I received an email stating I had an upgrade of a room due to a technical issue with the shower in the room I had booked. On arrival I was supplied a room with none of the listed facilities listed for that room being there was no balcony, fridge, television, wardrobe, fan, air conditioner did not work, I was not given an electronic key and given no information regarding wifi etc. There were 2 keys given. 1 was for the main door for the entire building and that same key opened the main door also to Daphne's suites. The room apart from not having any of the listed facilities had one long cupboard with doors hanging off and inside the structure was coming apart and in need of repair. It most definitely was not an upgrade!! |I ended up cancelling my booking and finding another place to stay. The room I was provided did not look anything like the pictures on any of the websites. In fairness, I did not get an opportunity to view any other rooms as there was no staff member on site even though I was told I someone would be present from 10.30am - 3pm. When I attempted 3 times to enter the building with the keys given to me, I was unable to access the apartments main area and another guest had to open the door for me to be able to leave the keys on the unattended front desk. After reading several reviews of how management continually over book and cancel bookings at the last moment, I would be hesitant book!
