I recently stayed at Dar Fatma Guest House in Sidi Bousid, and my experience was a mix of positive and negative aspects.
Location (5/5): The location is fantastic, situated in one of the best towns in Tunis, and it's close to everything you might need during your stay.
Rooftop and Swimming Pool (4/5): The rooftop is charming, offering a great view. However, the swimming pool is quite small.
Accessibility (2/5): The biggest issue for me was the accessibility, especially as a new parent with a stroller. The numerous steps throughout the property made it challenging to navigate with a baby.
Staff (1/5): Unfortunately, the staff didn't leave a positive impression. They seemed disinterested, not very helpful, and rarely smiled. I overheard them discussing in our departure one of the staff asking her colleague if we left or we are still here and to check if we took the Ac remote, which was quite surprising. The way the staff was acting is weird and doesn't make you comfortable or feel welcomed. I tried to open the main door in the morning and I found one of the staff behind me, telling me this is not the way we do it.
Amenities and Charges (2/5): The guest house charges 3 TND for a bottle of water, which feels weird especially what we paid for two nights was considered expensive. Additionally, it's essential to note that this place may not be baby-friendly, as we heard someone knocking on our door at night when the baby was crying not sure if it's the staff member or the neighbour though.
Breakfast (3/5): The breakfast provided was minimal with limited options, which might not suit those on a diet.
In summary, I would recommend Dar Fatma Guest House for solo travelers or couples due to its excellent view and location. However, it falls short in terms of accessibility for parents with strollers and the overall service experience, making it less suitable for families with babies.
