"For those who can’t decide between staying in a historic, riad-style inn in Marrakech’s old town or a larger resort in modern Ville Nouvelle, this boutique charmer provides the perfect compromise. Located in the leafy, upscale Hivernage neighborhood (a short taxi ride from both the medina and the French quarter), Dar Rhizlane occupies an Art Deco-era villa, where 20 rooms share space with intimate lounges, a fireplace-equipped library bar, and a verandah with views of the gardens and fountains. Named after exotic scents, guestrooms feature handpicked furnishings, traditional tilework, ornate bathrooms, and flattering mood lighting as well as a fireplace and some type of outdoor space. Also on-site is a pool ringed with loungers (open year-round and heated in the winter) and a small spa with a hammam (located in the main villa). In addition to overnight guests, the hotel draws a regular crowd for its cuisine. Le Minzeh serves light fare on a raised platform overlooking the pool; Le Jardin offers seasonal, Mediterranean-inspired dishes along with garden views; and the gourmet Le Mimouna—considered one of the best restaurants in town—features a Moroccan-French menu and glam setting. Also available are cooking classes, which start with a stroll through a local market, as well as services like in-room dining, on-site parking, and a 24-hour reception, which bring some of those “big hotel” touches to what otherwise feels like a wealthy friend’s estate."

I had an amazing experience at this hotel. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive from the moment I arrived. My room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had a stunning view. Breakfast offered a great variety of fresh options, and the location made it easy to explore nearby attractions. I will definitely stay here again!

This is truly a very special hotel. Set away from the main medina this hotel offers peace and tranquility and is absolutely stunning in terms of building, suites and staff. Nothing is too much trouble for the amazing team at Dar Rhizlane. |Our suite was absolutely beautiful, encompassing bedroom area, living room, sun conservatory and outside area and everything you could wish for was provided. |The restaurant food both at breakfast and lunch was healthy and delicious. We didn’t eat dinner there during our stay but I can imagine it wouldn’t have failed to deliver. |The hotel boasts a beautiful pool area that gets the sun for most of the day, unlike many of the high walled riads in the centre. They also have a small gym, spa and run cookery classes. |I can’t recommend this hotel enough, it provided us with peace and tranquility but was close enough to everything else Marrakesh has to offer. |The staff are second to none.

Our stay at Dar Ghizlane Hotel was wonderful! The riad is charming and peaceful, tucked away from the busy streets yet close to everything. The decor is beautiful — traditional Moroccan style with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.||The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, always making sure we felt comfortable. Breakfast on the terrace was a lovely way to start the day, with fresh fruit, pastries, and mint tea.||The rooms were clean, cozy, and well cared for. It really felt like a home away from home. We’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and relaxing stay in Marrakech.

This hotel is stunning, I don't think I realised how good a deal I got until I arrived. The hosts are so lovely and attentive and impressively speak multiple languages. You're within walking distance of the Medina if you don't mind a stroll or taxis are readily available both outside the hotel and en route. I honestly could have spent the entire holiday at the hotel and wished I had booked for longer to enjoy it more. I did have dinner there, the food is delicious but be prepared to pay more than you would at places in the Medina. Live local music every evening and just magical atmosphere I feel like I can't convey in pictures. The only negative thing about the room is that there were no spare power points and we had to unplug a lamp for phone charging/hair tools etc.

This was a truly wonderful experience. Since the moment we arrived until we left this luxury hotel, the staff was overwhelmingly welcoming and friendly. The room was presented by a member of the staff, a lady who let us know everything about the hotel. |We booked a suite and it worth the money. It was actually a 2 rooms apartment, with a large living room and an open terrace. On the terrace we had sun beds, a coffee table and peace and quiet. |The swimming pool was located near the restaurant and a relaxing evening was spent there. |They had continental or local breakfast as choices. In addition to these, eggs on your choice were prepared on the spot, cheese platter or cold cuts could be ordered. Or even both. I warmly recommend the cheese platter. For the cold cuts there were 4 thin cut slices of a kind of salami/mortadela, that did not look appealing at all, but I’m sure they can change this. For the rest, excellent! |The bar is another highlight of this hotel: a large variety of drinks, with and without alcohol and very nice staff. |Also, the restaurant is a must for the evening, we had a great time enjoining their delicious food with our friends. |If you want massage, book it in advance, as they are busy. |My only disappointment was at checkout, when returning to my room, I notice that the man who checked it, took the tip we left for the maid. I don’t buy the explanation given by him to the manager that he was just keeping them for the maid until she arrives. |But, one on top of the other, I will choose to stay here again any time!

Dar Rhizlane is a sanctuary I have had the privilege of returning to many times, and it continues to be my absolute favorite destination. From the moment of arrival, the gracious welcome, serene ambiance, and genuine warmth of the staff create an atmosphere that is both sophisticated and deeply comforting almost like being embraced by family.||The suites are exquisite, blending oriental elegance with modern comfort. Lavish bathrooms, immaculate housekeeping, and an eye for the smallest detail ensure a standard of perfection. The housekeeping team in particular deserves praise; they anticipate every need with a level of discretion and precision that makes even the most seasoned traveler feel indulged.||Breakfast is an exceptional experience in itself: an extensive à la carte selection, served with attentiveness and charm, in an environment of tranquility that sets the tone for an unhurried and luxurious day.||The pool, though intimate in size, is impeccably maintained and surrounded by sumptuous loungers ideal for a refreshing swim or a day of complete relaxation beneath the Moroccan sun.||For me, Dar Rhizlane is more than a hotel; it is an oasis of refinement and warmth, a true home away from home. Without hesitation, I look forward to returning again and again to this extraordinary haven.
