From the moment we stepped through the door we had a fantastic reception, the ambiance of the whole place was amazing. Make sure you go to the roof top bar before dinner. The host recommended we did that even though we only just turned up on time for our booking. We weren’t rushed whatsoever. Once in the restaurant the food was absolutely fantastic. I had the Pigeon Pastille and the Lamb Tagine The price wasn’t crazy expensive either! We would recommend this place to anyone

What an amazing tucked-away beautiful place this is! From the moment we arrived at this charming Moroccan riad, we knew we were in for something special. (Though, I must admit — we did mistakenly walk through the back door at first — silly of us! But honestly, even that little detour couldn’t spoil what was to come.) Once inside, we were blown away by how absolutely stunning the interior is — full of authentic character and elegance. We were warmly welcomed and invited to enjoy drinks up on the roof terrace, which was the perfect way to ease into our evening. The service throughout our visit was outstanding — so attentive, kind, and genuine. It really felt like everyone wanted us to have the best time possible, and their hospitality made all the difference. We decided on the famous Dar Zellij Mechoui, and oh my… the lamb was simply delicious — cooked to perfection, tender, and full of flavor. As the sun set, the whole riad transformed into a romantic paradise, with soft, beautiful lights twinkling all around us. It was a truly unforgettable evening, and I can’t recommend this magical place enough.

This place supposedly has great reviews so we tried it for our anniversary. To the staffs credit, they were fantastic and very polite and accommodating. They even sang us a happy anniversary song for us without us asking which was really lovely. However, I'm not sure if it was the time we arrived (6:30pm). We were the first customers in an empty and silent restaurant. We thought as per the reviews that there would be live music and other entertainment. Absolutely nothing. Was very awkward. Other customers turned up a little bit later but the atmosphere was still very awkward. The place itself inside is lovely. Food was ok, though for the prices you pay, it is ridiculous! Super expensive for average food with decent presentation.

A truly stunning interior to this restaurant. Very authentic and you can feel the history of the building. Staff were very attentive. No alcohol served at lunch. Very generous portion sizes, we couldn’t finish the couscous. Highly recommend. Starters were also delicious. Freshly baked bread too.

Beautiful restaurant, clean, welcoming. Staff were friendly. The food was delicious and it was nice to try traditional Moroccan food in a 17th century building. Would highly recommend. First time here didn’t know what to expect amazing.

This extraordinarily beautiful restaurant and rooftop bar is hidden behind a nondescript wooden door down a small side street in what feels like the back end of town. But that door opens out onto a magical inner courtyard with tall lemon trees reaching up to the sky and a small central pool. Having read the glowing reviews we decided this was the place to splash out on our last night in Morocco, so it was with much anticipation that we arrived for dinner. We had a glass of wine on the roof terrace first(which we’d checked out the night before) - a lovely space. The wine that arrived, however, wasn’t properly chilled and I was surprised that when I pointed this out to the waiter he insisted that it was cold enough and brought us some ice to add to it if we wanted it colder. Having had exactly the same wine the night before, served at the perfectly chilled temperature, I found this surprising and disappointing. Moving down to the courtyard restaurant for dinner we were impressed with the attentive and discrete way the staff looked after us. The atmosphere is very pleasant and luxurious, with good linen tablecloths and napkins, as well as quality crockery and soft lighting. We were hopeful that the meal would match our expectations. Sadly, it did not. The starters were good but not exceptional, the lamb tagine was delicious - the best we’d had during our 2 weeks in Morocco - but I tried only one forkful of the desert before deciding it really wasn’t good; the thin layers of pastry between the orange blossom cream tasty very oily. So, I’m sorry to say that I don’t think the food matches the hype and it certainly wasn’t worth the hefty bill. If the food had been better I would have thought it worthwhile, as the location is stunning, but sadly we both came away feeling rather disappointed.
