Pleasant experience. Tasty fish cakes, Tom Kha, & my curry was big enough for 2, reasonably priced & packed full of meat, chicken in this case but you can get many protein options. Very large portions. I was surprised how good the food was since they have a huge menu. They also have a full service bar. They also have $1 kamakazi shots & a couple of $2 shots among many other drink options. I noticed reviews saying the food can be bland. Obviously they didn't order "Thai spicy" when you order they ask 1-5 heat scale or the Thai version

Love Dara Thai! I have been eating there for 30 years. Being from So Cal where Thai restaurants are abundent and it has been my favorite cuisine for 45 years. Dara has superb flavors, heat, consistency and quantity. Pad Thai, Panang, Gaeng Keao Wan, Basil Eggplant, Massaman, Gaeng Kari, Evil Jungle Princess, Tom Yum, Poh Tak, Three Kings Curry, Crispy Shrimp, I usually order just as an appetizer, the sauce alone should be bottled and sold! Anything on the menu is absolutely delicious and any protein you choose for any of the curries is a good choice. Dara Thai is my go to, over all the other Thai restaurants. If you are unfamiliar with your spice level, which only intensifies the flavors and unsure how to order, ask! I prefer Triple Thai Hot which is pretty spicy and way too spicy for my family and friends. My Grandkids ages 8 & 5 love their dishes and spice at level 2. Dara Thai is authentic, Thailand flavors. If you are wanting an excellent Thai food experience Dara Thai is the only place in Flagstaff to go!

🍜 Excellent Thai in Downtown Flagstaff Great Thai food in Flagstaff! Usually order vegetable fried rice, green curry, and eggplant basil. They are incredibly accommodating with dietary restrictions, always ensuring our order is prepared perfectly, which is a major plus. The food is consistently seasoned well and flavorful; the green curry, in particular, has a beautiful aromatic depth and the fried rice is never greasy. They offer generous portions, and the steamed tofu in curries are a must try—it's wonderfully tender and soaks up all the sauce. The restaurant has a cozy, authentic atmosphere, and the staff is always prompt and welcoming, even during peak dinner hours. It's truly a reliable spot for an excellent meal. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for authentic Thai food in downtown Flagstaff.

Good service. Went in the evening, and it wasn't to busy. A little noisy; constant sound of a grinder or some machine in the background. Food wasn't that good. Had the Tom Ka with shrimp which was very good but found a hair in it. They remade it without question. Fried rice with pineapple didn't really have much flavor. The orange chicken was just bad - too much breading, taste like unnatural orange with a ton of sugar, and dry.

We were able to sit immediately for lunch as there was only one other table being served. The menu is huge. The yellow curry itself was good but the vegetables in it weren't fully soft. I ordered it 0/5 spice. The pad Thai had chewy/hard noodles like they were not cooked all the way through. It was ordered as 3/5 spice but was like a 0 spice.

I'm surprised I haven't written a review for this restaurant yet—my family and I have been coming here for years, and it's our go-to spot for celebrating any occasion. Just a few days ago, we dined here for my graduation. The food is consistently delicious and never disappoints. Absolutely worth a visit!

Cute place, not great food. I went here 8 years ago in college and it's really gone downhill. Got the Thai salad and Duck curry. Salad was good and fresh! Curry was watered down and the duck seemed really processed. Super disappointed in this place.

Overall, I was happy with the food. The restaurant’s appearance isn’t as upscale as some other Thai spots, but it’s clean and has nice traditional decor. Our server, who I believe was Hispanic, was very kind and provided great service. The food took a bit longer than expected (around 30 minutes), even though it wasn’t too busy, but they seemed short-staffed in the kitchen. The meal itself was delicious, with a GENEROUS amount of VEGGIES in the noodle dishes, which really elevated the flavors—especially the basil in my dish. Overall, good food and polite service at a fair price. I'd say if more restaurants balanced their foods with these veggies and flavors like this restaurant did, the others would do better.
