We loved Darbi’s so much that we went back twice. Great service, great food. Ask for your hash browns to be made extra crispy! The giant cinnamon roll was loved across the whole table. Even better with walnuts

Google
Super cute and very popular cafe. We aren't from around here, but had two lunches and one breakfast during our visit. Overall, most of the food is excellent. A few things were lackluster (potato salad, pastrami, hash browns). Most items were fantastic. The ultimate prime melt was excellent! The pastrami melt was just good, per my husband. The Arizona road beef melt was good. The Monte Cristo was pretty dang delicious. Curly fries and onion rings are really good. Potato salad lacked flavor. Frickles were good. The grandpa's stroganoff was really good, but did have a strong wine flavor. Good and beefy with nice chunks of meat and mushrooms, but I'd prefer less wine taste. Breakfast omelets were great. Hash browns weren't very browned or crispy. Caramel apple French toast was frickin ridiculously delicious and HUGE portion, very filling. Sausage links and sausage gravy a little spicy for these wimpy taste buds. The giant cinnamon roll was plate size. The roll itself was good, but I didn't care for the icing which was drowning it. Husband and friend enjoyed the icing though. It wasn't ordinary icing, it was cream cheese based and it was COVERED. That roll could be a meal. Definitely share it. Overall, we enjoyed all three visits and will return when in town.

We had a delicious breakfast at Darbi’s Café, and the crepes and pancakes were fantastic! The avocado toast was also a standout. The atmosphere is wonderful, with beautiful pine views adding to the experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome. The only downside was the parking lot to find a spot (because of high demand) and where overflow trash was visible. Overall, highly recommended for anyone looking for a great meal in a cozy setting!

Went here for breakfast. A wonderful meal which was flavorful and very filling! Friendly and fast service. Would recommend and will be back when in the area.

Google
You can tell they use fresh ingredients. We ordered the BLT w/fries. The bacon had good flavor, the fries were just okay. We also got the strawberry salad with grilled chicken and a basket of onion rings. Fresh lettuce, homemade dressing, and real grilled chicken made the salad very tasty. The onion rings were a good flavor and texture. I do wish there was a lunch portion with less food and lower prices. I may have given an overall star of 5 if it wasn't $50 +tip, for 2 people for lunch. That is expensive. The price is really the only downfall of this restaurant.

Google
Had breakfast on the "patio" which was perfect. It was a chilly morning, but we were comfortable with the sun and their heaters. Florentine Eggs Benedict was solid and the Corned Beef Hash was excellent. Not too salty, but flavorful! Highly recommend the pancakes with the boysenberry syrup! This place is worth the hype, so get there early as there was a huge wait and limited parking by the time we left (8:30am on a Sunday).

Google
Darbi's is a great place for breakfast! The inside is cozy and relaxing. The staff was very friendly and quick. The giant cinnamon roll is no joke! Definitely recommend the chonky breakfast sausage, it's crispy on the outside and juicy and full of flavor.

Google
I give Darby's a five star review. The food and service were exceptional. I would recommend Biscuits and Gravy and Chicken Fried Steak. It's by far the best sausage gravy I've had in a long time. The Denver Omelette with cheddar cheese and hash browns proved to be a good choice. The Chorizo Burritos are humongous and tasty. The Sunday Parfait is a fun way to get the kids to eat their breakfast. It's nice that they offer menu choices serving half portions as well.

Yelp
My first visit, place has been there forever, have had family members say they would take me when in town but it Never happened until now! Wow what a great place, super clean and and fast/friendly wait staff Had the corned beef hash breakfast and it was fantastic, best hash i have had in quite awhile My guests crepe breakfast was eaten happily Definitely worth a stop, bring your patience when parking Place gets jumping!!

Yelp
Great cafe to stop by for exceptional service and food. (3) of us got seated in the bar area quickly and were greeted by our server with a big smile. The parfait was loaded with fresh fruit, granola and yogurt. Prices were fair and portions were large.

Yelp
While "glamping" in the area, we were thrilled to find a gem like Darbi's Cafe. From the moment I walked in, I felt at home - the cozy atmosphere and friendly service immediately put me at ease. But what really impressed me was the food. I opted for the burger, and it was cooked to perfection. The brunch items looked equally delicious, and my wife can attest to that. If you're passing through Pinetop, do yourself a favor and stop by Darbi's. It's a must-visit destination for any foodie or camper looking for a warm welcome.

Yelp
Are waiter Chris was excellent. His service was awesome. Ambiance of food was excellent. My girlfriend had the Chili Foot long Sausage with onion rings. I had the Meatloaf, brown gravy on sourdough bread & mash potatoes and green beans. Highly recommended!! We will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Oh man! This place is awesome and now I know why! This place looks small on the outside but on the inside it's packed. You definitely have to wake up super early to get here once they open because it gets packed quick! BUT the food is worth the wait. This is the best place for breakfast in town and even the locals will tell you so. They have lots of delicious items to choose from and you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Darbi's continues to impress! The food is just. so. good. The prices are reasonable and the portions are big!! Service is always friendly, prompt and upbeat and the atmosphere so cozy and homey. We took our parents and they were equally impressed. My mother-in-law asked for Worcestershire sauce thinking they wouldn't have it-- but they did and she was very happy! The SOB and the eggs Benedict are wonderful as is the big crispy French toast. I really want to try the giant cinnamon roll next time! Thanks Darbi's for showing that a restaurant can still run efficiently, have amazing food, portions and prices!!

Yelp
We tried lunch at Darbi's and order the Chili Boss and Santa Fe Melt. Also tried the snake bite, aka jalapeño poppers. We sat at the bar to get a quick seating as the wait for a table was long. Service was attentive. All the food was delicious and large portions. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Such amazing food! 10/10 home style breakfast! We all loved what we ordered! So good! The sage gravy and biscuits were amazing! The sausage is so good! The boysenberry syrup is wonderful! Such good food! So happy to have discovered this on the mountains! Loved it! Our server, Allison was attentive, bubbly and awesome!

Yelp
Long wait but so worth it! I came up to Pinetop-Lakeside to visit my folks and we heard good things about Darbi's - so we went for breakfast today (saturday) ! We found a parking spot right away but the lot can be full. There was a long line outside the door, and after we put our name in for a party of 5, we waited about 30 mins. Inside is very cozy and cabin like, with a covered outdoor patio which looked really relaxing :) the service was super friendly and attentive! The food portions are BIG and the prices can't be beat! We will definitely be back! :) We ordered the: - top sirloin steak & eggs - steak was cooked just right and it was juicy! - eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, toast - apple cinnamon pancakes - coffee, orange juice, tea and water

Yelp
Beautiful outdoor patio seating for great mountain ambiance. Welcoming service even with their jam packed popularity. Great food options. I enjoyed the Prime Rib Benedict. I suggest you order the cinnamon roll with walnuts to go.

Yelp
Been coming here for years and just love the food. Lots of variety and haven't had a bad meal yet. Service is fantastic with friendly people. Ambiance is great for family and feels like eating at grandmas cabin.

Yelp
When we got there, the place was bustling. Despite how busy they were, I felt like we were seated fairly quickly. When you go, you have to keep in mind that they close at 2:30pm. Also, they don't have much parking and they don't take reservations. Breakfast is served until noon every day. You will need to plan ahead for eating here. I was surprised that they let anyone order off of the kids menu. I ordered a giant cinnamon roll for $9. They only make a certain quantity per day. Their portions are large. I had the Avocado Chicken Croissant. It came with Grilled chicken breast, avocado, applewood bacon, melted Swiss cheese, on a toasted croissant for 13.99 I could taste the grill on the chicken. I wonder if I could have gotten it pan fried instead. The chicken was a bit dry. Be sure to eat the avocado right away if you have leftovers. I brought it home and as avocados usually do, it looked a little out of shape after that. The toasted croissant and the melted Swiss cheese was delicious. I have yet to eat the cinnamon roll but it looks yummy with a lot of frosting on top. The insides were filled with cinnamon too.

Yelp
The buttermilk syrup till haunts my dreams. The eggs, hotcakes and coffee were perfection. The service was stellar and the ambiance made me want to settle in for the long winter. It's out of the way but well worth the drive.

Yelp
Stopped over for lunch during our stay at Greer! The restaurant has country vibe! They were packed. We waited for about 10 minutes to get a table. It took sometime to get attention of the server. We got ice tea, burger, artichoke dip, and chilly with cornbread. The cornbread was a hit! So was the artichoke dip. But the chilly and burger were ordinary. Nothing so special. Going with 3 stars for the service and average food.
google avatar

Yelp
AMAZING breakfast and service. Cannot recommend enough. We had 6 adults 6 kids and they were so kind and helpful and everything was delicious. The highlights were the thick delicious sausage, croissant French toast!, SOB and breakfast burrito. Didn't love their home fries (they're more so a has of peppers and potatoes). But other than that, we absolutely loved our experience and want to go back next time we are up north!

Yelp
Nice restaurant Friendly and courteous staff The waiter was so attentive. The food was delicious and huge portions. Awesome

Yelp
My Dad and I are regulars ..... we love it here. Atmosphere is warm and inviting the servers are friendly, knowledgeable inconsistent. My dad had two large pancakes probably the best on the mountain. There's a hint of vanilla in them. They're fluffy on the inside but firm on the outside. These things are fantastic! I am one of those people that has a salad for breakfast. I know I know the chicken Santa Fe salad is epic. Serving with loads of grilled chicken you get two different types of sauce says and jalapeño ranch dressing as side of garlic bread and I always get a peach iced tea on the side. Just absolutely can't say enough good things about this place we were lucky as we are in many days to be greeted by Darby herself and seated. For the experience.
google avatar

Jeffrey C.

Yelp
The food is amazing as is the service. The restaurant is well spaced so even when it is full it doesn't feel that way. We absolutely loved the food and the portion sizes are generous. We loved it.
google avatar

Paul S.

Yelp
I had the chef salad early in the week for lunch and it was great. So big I was able to take half home for another meal. The ingredients were fresh and the ranch dressing was plentiful and homemade. I had breakfast this morning that was two eggs, ham steak, potatoes, and a biscuit with gravy. The eggs were good, the ham was lean, but lukewarm, the potatoes were cold, dry, and flavorless. The biscuit was great, but had very little gravy on it so was dry. Didn't want to pay for an extra side of gravy, so just ate the bits that were actually covered. I mentioned the cold potatoes and they were kind enough to provide a discount on the check. I would have preferred hot, well seasoned potatoes, however. The place was clean and the staff was very friendly and prompt. I will certainly go back for a chef salad, but will look for alternatives for breakfast.

Yelp
Darbi's was recommend to us by a friend, so we decided to try it out for breakfast before heading home from Pinetop - we weren't disappointed! No wait on a Monday morning before 10am. Our server was attentive without being overbearing. Food was plentiful and really tasty - large portions for the price. If you're in Pinetop, definitely have a meal or two at Darbi's Cafe!

Yelp
Everything was delicious! This place is worth the wait, Don't be intimidated by a long line and full parking lot. That's telling you this is a GREAT place and everyone else knows that too. We went for Brunch and the wait was only about 15 minutes. For the FOOD: I had the Caramel Apple French Toast (made GF). If you understand what a foodgasm is , you'll have multiple. The creamy, sweet caramel apple filling with the light sweet caramel sauce topped off with fresh whipped cream makes every bite savorable. Their burgers are off the hook!!! The Prime Rib melt my sister had looked and tasted divine. My son had a buffalo chicken wrap and every bite was delicious. The staff is impeccable!!! They are so attentive and you can tell they love this place. We will always make this a stop when we're up here!

Michael K.

Yelp
walked in on a Monday around 930 and while restaurant was busy we were seated immediately. we had heard about the large serving sizes. I had the Alaskan Benedict and wife had the sausage scramble. both were great. coffee was served immediately and refills were always there even with the restaurant being crowded. had to take home a cinnamon roll and at 9.99 it is well worth. would highly recommend

Yelp
Good food! Really delicious! Lots of menu choices. We've been here several times and have tried many different plates of amazingness - never disappointed. The servers are super friendly and checked in with us a lot. Be sure to check the dessert case and bring something home for later!

Yelp
Staff and food are both amazing! Perfect spot for a good breakfast to start your day.

Yelp
After checking all the reviews of this place I had to try it and let me tell you it was Amazinggg!! The food was delicious We stopped by a very busy Wednesday morning. We had to wait around 10 minutes to be seated but it was well worth it. I ordered the pancake with chocolate chip and bacon and three cups of coffee. Everything was to die for. The girls were very busy but they kept the service great! I loved the place I just wished I had the time to visit more times! I will defined come back when I'm in Pinetop again.
google avatar

Betty L.

Yelp
It was in a little log cabin. That's what it looked like to me. Parking was available on either side. It looked like a renovated cabin. The inside was small. It was quick to get seated. The food was good.

Yelp
First, here is an overview. This is the quintessential breakfast diner in town. The food is great, the service is excellent and the atmosphere is nice. My food was a mixed bag, I didn't love my hashbrowns but my sausage was the best sausage I've ever had. The service is really great, there's always a line out the door but they seat you fast and don't forget about you. The ambiance is quaint, it's no five star restaurant - you'll feel at home. It's nice but dated. Now onto the full review. The ambiance - it's fine. Look I get it, it's a diner that's been around a long time, it gets the job done. It's a bit like Grandma's house, you don't even need to wear jeans if you don't want to (please wear some pants though). My big complaint is actually that the ceilings are really low - family actually had to duck in places to not bang there head. Otherwise, it's perfectly fine and clean. The service - the best you'll find in a breakfast place id wager. Every single breakfast place in Phoenix has an hour long wait for some reason with the same amount of people as Darbi's has on any given day. Meanwhile, Darbi's is quick as hell. If you aren't ready, you're missed - good! Sick of waiting around for the whole morning to get breakfast. They get you in fast and your server is ready to go right away. I only had slow service once on just my coffee because the dishwasher was full, I had to wait a whopping 5 mins longer ughhh (that's sarcasm if you hadn't guessed)!! Overall, excellent, no mistakes and good service, you might even get your coffee from the owner herself! The food - good but could be improved. I like crispy hash browns and I did not get them. That's preferential but I usually get that at other restaurants. The sausage I had was easily the best I've ever had anywhere, perfect skin, a nice crack on the bite and great texture for taste. My pancakes were doughy enough but still plenty firm. The syrup was excellent. I also got scrambled eggs and they were over done but pretty much everywhere I go for breakfast is the same. I was plenty happy with my food though. If you are in Show Low and want breakfast, don't bother else where. This is the home town feel with the right stuff and a better breakfast than most places I've been.

Yelp
Very cute place but you may need a map to find your way around. Just kidding, but the place is big. Very cute. Lots to look around at. Different seating rooms. Great service. Nice folks. Delicious food. I noticed, while we were waiting to be sat, that many walked out with boxes so I knew the portions were going to be large. Some of us ordered HALF portions and STILL had to take some home. We'll be back!
google avatar

Ankur K.

Yelp
Get anything. It will be delicious. We tried the lemon blueberry crepe, enchilada style veggie burrito, French toast croissant and veggie melt sandwich. Very friendly and apt service.
google avatar

Cade H.

Yelp
Come hungry or bring a friend to help. The portions are large. No one in our group could finish everything in their plate. It's pretty good standard cafe food. I recommend the breakfast of the lunch.
google avatar

Kota B.

Yelp
This place was super comfy inside and had some amazing food. The runners were super quick and sweet.
google avatar

Yelp
We arrived at 9:30 and the place was packed. We were told 20-25 min. but it only took 10. Service was fast, friendly and efficient. Food was delicious! We had the corned beef hash, avocado toast and chicken fried steak. Some of the best food we've had while in Pinetop/Greer. We were out in 1 hour. Ps... pancakes were so fluffy and perfect. We will be back!
google avatar

Jim D.

Yelp
This has to be the best place to go for breakfast up in the mountains! From the service to food it was all outstanding. The portions size are great and the price point is the best I've ever seen. Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Brittany K.

Yelp
Good food & friendly service over at Darbi's! The portion sizes are out of this world. I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast burrito & split the cinnamon roll with the family. We waited about 45 mins for a table on a Sunday morning. They also sell merch which I thought was really cool!

Peggy N.

Yelp
Despite the nearly full parking lot, we were seated promptly and our server appeared even more promptly! Our food was just as fast and it was delicious. The french toast was a cinnamon roll on steroids and bacon was crisp and perfect. We shall return.

morry c.

Yelp
It's been years since my last visit...well worth the wait. Best biscuits and gravy in the area! Fast service...huge portions in a comfortable setting. Most orders can feed 2 people.... Parking is always dicey but they have added many spaces since my last visit. A must try in the Pinetop/Lakeside area!
google avatar

Zack G.

Yelp
Perfect encapsulation of a small town, homey diner. The indoor patio seating was well heated with large windows to take in the forest outside. Very good value for the low prices and gigantic portion sizes. My group liked everything we ordered, but the pancakes and syrups were definitely the top. Service was friendly and quick. The only negative I have is the S.O.B. (biscuits and gravy) was a little bland and the biscuits were kind of dry. I may have rated 4 stars for that, but everything else made up for it.
google avatar

James T.

Yelp
We were in Pine Top for Fall break and everyone loves this place so we decided to come by for some dessert after a hike. It was about 12p and there was a line out the door. I asked a few people in line if the food was that good and everyone raved about it. Seems like good food in large portions. Even with a long line the staff were friendly and helpful. Would have been a 30-40 min wait so we decided to get some pie and desserts to go. We got some peanut butter crème pie, cherry crème pie, lemon bar, peach cobbler, 7 layer bar their famous cinnamon roll with walnuts. Our favorite was the cinnamon roll, it was huge and the frosting was sweet but not too sweet. The walnuts added good texture as well. Took us about two days to finish it. The next highlight were the crème pie. My wife loved the peanut butter one and my kids liked the cherry. The bars and cobbler were good, but didn't knock our socks off. Next time we're in town we'll try to get up early and get here before the crowds.
google avatar

Jess B.

Yelp
Everything we've had at Darbi's is excellent! The employees are always so nice! Darbi's is always packed, yet their service is still speedy.
google avatar

Marcy L.

Yelp
WOW! I have had a lot of Eggs Benedict but sometimes restaurants choose to keep things super bland with them... not Darbi's! The Southern Benedict was SPECTACULAR! The sauce had so much flavor, the eggs were cooked perfectly, the cornbread and veggies were delicious, and the combination of them all was nothing short of magical! We also really enjoyed the potato cakes, the French toast, and the waffles. We didn't have to wait long (this quaint cafe is deceivingly large) and the service was wonderful. We will definitely go out of our way for Darbi's Cafe anytime we go up north!
google avatar

Mike B.

Yelp
Wait was short. Service was good. Food prep and serve was quick. Breakfast was served hot. Breakfast was really good. Parking stinks. Place was so busy there was no where to park. You will have to circle around and find someone that is leaving. Have fun with that!
google avatar

Brigdon F.

Yelp
The Cantina Wrap is the best burrito I've ever had! Service was really good and brought out our drinks and food considerably fast!
google avatar

Randy L.

Yelp
If y'all want a dang good breakfast or lunch, head over to Darbis for an out of body experience.

Samantha G.

Yelp
Everything was so amazing the portions were pass expectations I highly recommend coming here we are from out of town and this place is so cozy friendly and fantastic thank you Darbi's for the amazing service and experience thank you for the humongous cinnamon roll
google avatar

Tyler A.

Yelp
Unique breakfast is hard to come by, and it was really really good. The server was a long time worker there and was extremely friendly and welcoming and entertaining. Classic server personality that isn't encountered as often these days. Restaurant was busy but there were enough nooks and crannies that made it comfortable regardless. This is the place to be for breakfast in Pinetop.
google avatar

Katelyn W.

Yelp
Excellent service and the food is delicious. Come here if you want a cozy dining experience and large portions. This cafe is the best bang for your buck. I enjoyed the son of a biscuit, it had so much protein and really hit the spot. If I could have a do over, I would get the strawberry pancakes they were so light and fluffy and did not have an overwhelming sweetness. This cafe has cute souvenirs so if you want a nice keepsake that is more than enough of a reason to drop by.
