Darjeeling Cafe Varkala

The tiny cafe on the bottom floor with coffee and cakes was the best. The coffee and cakes were amazing. Especially the blueberry cheesecake 🤤. On the other hand the top restaurant had pathetic service. We left after some time of waiting for the waiter. Even after calling the female waiter and asking for the menu, she just looked at us and went about doing her own thing and never came back with the menu. I won't even give them one star.

Great restaurant with a lovely rooftop setting where you can enjoy delicious food while taking in a beautiful view of the sea. I visited after 5 pm, which was perfect for the evening ambiance. Smoking is allowed in the café area, making it a relaxed spot for those who prefer it. Highly recommend for a cozy and scenic dining experience!

We got a beautiful seat enjoying the sea view during lunch . Food was tasty , service was amazing (Kudos to Islam our server). Overall it was a good experience for me and we ended the meal with mouth watering ice creams.

We ordered coconut rice, fish fry and prawn curry. The rice was very old and brittle and it smelled a little bad. Fish was fried in a very old oil it seemed. Taste was not good at all. Waiters don’t respond much and has a lot of attitude!

This is on North cliff but more inside. But the view is beautiful. If you go at 6pm then you will enjoy the sunset. We had fresh fish which was reasonable as compare to other restaurant. We also had calamari fry, fish and chips and fried rice. All are tasty. Also try their fresh juices. They are so refreshing. The staff is also good and attentive.

We had roti and mixed vegetable curry with coconut milk. It tasted good. Aside from these dishes, everything is super expensive. However, the atmosphere is nice, and you can see the sea clearly.

Great ambiance and food. This cafe has the dance floor room as well. We enjoyed the live music at the cafe. Giving 4 stars for atmosphere due to loud music. It is a good cafe at North Cliff. Also, this cafe is known to most tuktuk drivers.

We had vegetarian foods but the veg momos were too good and delicious. Service was very fast and food quality was amazing. Live music was there. Good vibe and gentle staff.
