DARK TOWER COMICS - LOGAN SQUARE

Came today for the first time and the staff was great. The variety from comics to funko pops is awesome. I felt like a kid in a candy store all over again. Check it out with my nephew and we had a great time. Will be back soon to check out the Funko Pops again. If coming off the Blue Line Logan Square u can't miss Dark Tower Comics it's right next too El Cid resturant. 📚🫶🏼

I’m a board game enthusiast and this place surprised me. I thought it was just for comic books but they have a space dedicated for folks to play board games. The variety is great. The worker was very willing to help us navigate the different selection of comic books and board games

Very impressive selection of graphic novels and comic books. I was able to find an issue of Alien that was out of stock at my local comic shops. Also there is a loyalty program for items that are priced $12 and up. Was offered a free comic with my purchase which was a nice bonus. If exploring this area, Toy de Jour and Nakama Toys are within walking distance and offer a different kind of selection but should appeal to similar interests.

The best comic shop in the city. Excellent staff, great collection of floppies and other products, and Magic: the Gathering events fire near-daily.

Went for a MTG Legacy tournament and had a blast. Great, welcoming crowd (and, there was quite the crowd) and a ton of fun. They even had a giveaway! If you’re a Magic player in the area, this is where you should be playing!

It's looking really nice after the switch to Dark Tower. There's been a lot of improvements very quickly and new layout is much more welcoming. They've got some great new dice in and I'm happy to Magic getting some attention again. (Plus there's Pat!)

Didn't have what I was looking for, but they offered to order it. Great service, just would've been better if they had what I wanted in stock.

Not really a comic shop pro. I got back into reading comics during COVID, but mostly digital and after a while it turned into buying physical stuff. G-Mart (the previous shop that occupied this space) was very close to me so it was my go to shop. I found their online ordering setup a bit old school, but man what I wouldn't give to have that back. At least G-Mart would send you e-mails updating you on your order. The Dark Tower system is definitely more modern, but there's no real notifications unless I'm missing something. No more discounts on subs either which is a real kick in the dick. I pre-ordered a comic months in advance, again no real e-mail communication. Showed up on the release date and they just straight up didn't have it. The good thing is they don't charge you ahead of time like G-Mart did. Luckily Challengers had it in stock though! The other day I got a new releases e-mail for the first time in the history of the store becoming Dark Tower and it's just some dudes name instead of Dark Tower so I thought it was junk. I dunno man, I usually like the real local mom and pop feel of stores because everything is a shitty chain these days, but this place may be a little too mom and pop. Hopefully I've just had bad luck with them but I'm back to a digital only comic reader for the time being.

I will begin here, the original location was G-Mart comics until the original owner retired and sold the location. G-Mart is only online now. Very clean location, plenty of space. The setup is different, but still had a good selection comics to funko pops, games, collectibles and more. Very friendly staff, greeted once coming in. The game room in the back is still available. The value of the comics are at a good price. No complaints. I was sad to see G-Mart comics go, but I am glad it stayed comic shop. I wish Dark Tower comics so much success. I will be back soon.

They Have a Huge Selection of Comics :) Excellent Service Staff was Friendly :) I would shop here Again. I believe they Have Game Nights as Well for Magic the Gathering
