St. Vincent and the Grenadines Travel Guide

"A two-tiered waterfall tucked deep within rainforest so remote that locals say it was only discovered a few decades ago; access is via a short walk from a remote roadside, and the spot is presented as a magical swimming site set well off beaten paths." - Carley Rojas Avila Carley Rojas Avila Carley Rojas Avila is a bilingual travel writer, editor, and content marketer. This Country Was Named the Best 'Nature Destination' in the Caribbean

"St. Vincent is known for its plethora of waterfalls. A visit to the country should definitely include a visit to such iconic falls as Dark View Falls (St. Vincent’s most popular, and accessible only by swaying bamboo bridge)." - Hannah Selinger Hannah Selinger Hannah Selinger is a James Beard Award-nominated lifestyle writer based in Boxford, Massachusetts.  Travel + Leisure Editorial Guidelines

This waterfall is truly beautiful, its located on the Leeward side of St. Vincent. The drive to get there is a bit winding and lengthy, but absolutely worth it. Once you arrive, you'll find a beautiful waterfall with refreshing water. Although there's no plunge pool at the base, the waterfall is still gorgeous and very powerful. It's just a short two minute walk from the entrance. There’s a cool bamboo bridge that leads you there. The area is well maintained, with a few park benches to sit and enjoy. There is a second level waterfall with a bigger pool, which unfortunately we did not know about so don't miss out on that.

Epic. Must visit location. There are 2 waterfalls here and both are wonderful. It's a short walk to get to them however there's a lil excitement attached. Firstly you have to cross a bamboo bridge. Now it's not high up but some people may still be a bit nervous to get on. After crossing the bridge there is a short walk to the first waterfall. Very easy. You then can continue walking until to reach the flight of concrete steps. I didn't count how much steps, but it's enough to make you wonder if the climb is worth it. After reaching the end of the stairs you walk down and cross the river . Very shallow path until you have to climb up some rocks that will take you straight to the 2nd waterfall. On arrival you will realize that it was worth the walk. I would strongly advise that you visit these falls and enjoy what nature has provided us with.

Walking up to Dark View Falls felt like stepping into a hidden chapter of the island's story. The moss-drapped rocks and ancient ferns created a cathedral of green, and the roar of water crashing down reminded me how powerful freedom can be. Arriving on Emancipation Day added a deeper pulse to every drop splashed against the pool below.

A serene nature escape with 2 waterfall areas and picnic areas. Entry is EC$5 for locals, US$5 for non-residents. We went there on a holiday so entry was free. Open daily until 5pm with free parking. You get to cross over a suspension bridge as part of the trail (fun). Bring swimsuits and water-shoes.

Dark View Falls are two spectacular waterfalls, one above the other, cascading down high cliff faces and plunging into natural pools. There is a short and easy hike to the falls through rainforest and across the Richmond River via either a bamboo bridge or conventional bridge. There's a small charge fee upon entrance.

A getaway visit to nature's relaxing waters. Nationals pay EC$5 while tourists (nonresidents) pays US$5 at the entrance. There are areas to cook and have picnics all when enjoying the calm, relaxing air of nature. Facility closes at 5pm daily. Parking is free but can be limited during holidays.

Easy access to the lower falls. You simply have to cross the bridge and it's right after, which is great for people who don't want to walk alot. There is a larger waterfall further from the smaller one. The water is a little chilly, I recommend water shoes, especially if you have sensitive feet(lots of rocks). Great ambiance, you can even take pictures from a deck.
