Darling Cafe

I’ve been to quite a few brunch places in Melbourne while visiting, and this is easily, hands-down, the best of all of them. The food is fresh and delicious, and the coffee is first class. But the thing that really makes this 5* is the service. The team are welcoming, polite, friendly, incredibly accommodating and just all-round wonderful people (especially Ellie, Lorna and Evie - ask for any of them and they’ll look after you!). I’d highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

We had breakfast here this morning and it was absolutely delicious! Beautifully presented, super tasty and eggs were poached to perfection! The staff are so friendly and attentive and I already can’t wait to come back and try the sticky date pancakes 🤭

Stopped by initially just to grab a coffee and pastry, but read the menu and decided to do a full sit down meal instead. The atmosphere was good, the outdoor seating patio was perfect around 8 AM. Staff was very friendly as well. The food was delicious, I ordered the citrus iced cold brew (fantastic) and the salmon bennie. My partner ordered the bacon bennie. Both were very good, between the two I’d recommend the bacon as the salmon can sometimes get a bit overpowered by the potato rösti that the bennies are served on.

I believe these guys are part of the same owners as Kettle black.. so we decided to try them.. the food was very nice.. they were busy when we went.. late morning on a Wednesday.. service was ok, and the setting is rather cosy.. there is plenty of outdoor seating g at the front.. however, would I go back there.. don't know.. you know, sometimes you just have that feeling.. thanks for having g us but won't rush back.. I'm not sure what gave us that feeling.. coffee was tops which is a must for me..

Went for brunch yesterday on a weekend afternoon. Walked in and immediately greeted by the staff who allocated a lovely seat for us. Seats are nicely spaced out at this pretty cafe, outdoor seating available too. And they have their own toilet! Strong cap and hot chocolate were delicious. Enjoyed my eggs Benny. Service from all the wait staff were impeccable throughout. After we were done with our meal, our waters were replenished, didn’t feel rush at all. A solid brunch option that seems to be a favourite among the locals.

Great spot for brunch. Relaxed vibe with helpful staff. Drinks came out quickly and the food was lovely.

We went for brunch , Though I was extra hungry , me & my 2 colleague ordered nasi goreng and another colleague ordered almond croissant which is worth of eating according to the prices and the services . Would recommend people to come and try their food and coffees.

Amazing coffee! The customer service was top notch, Cosy Environment. Would recommend it to any person any age.

Came here for brunch and ordered the Salmon and Chilli omelette - it was delicious! The piece of bread could've done with some butter though. I don't normally like the coffee that I've ordered in the past here but today's was delicious

Just around the corner from South Yarra Train Station, it is a hot spot for coffee snobs, bloggers and locals alike. What once was Coffee Darling has been renamed, refreshed, restyled; bringing it into the age of aesthetics-driven, instagramable cafe interiors. Marble bench tops and gold accents give a luxurious and expensive feel, yet the menu is surprisingly reasonably priced. Featuring coffee from 5 Senses, a range of filter and other specialty coffee, and an elegant Synesso machine the entire ambiance of the cafe does feel very upmarket. Also licensed and does delish espresso martinis!! Photogenic all day brunch options like peanut butter waffles and Sticky date pancakes, to classics like Bircher and eggs Benedict. A range of oriental inspired lunch options too like satay chicken @twocogsinawheel

Nice place. The location is a cinch by train or tram. Pretty much right at the station after a very short stroll around the corner. There's much to like here. It's a bright well designed and ordered space that feels good to be in. The staff are really up and about. The ones I saw were doing their jobs very well. The two coffees I had were outstanding and right up there with the best. The food was good but without smashing it out of the park. My grilled broccolini was good but in truth the dish sounded better than it tasted. That said it was still very nice. My son's smashed avo was good too. It's a 3.6. A good place that I'd most happily come to again.

Terrible terrible terrible!!! Worst place I've ever been. Unprofessional, inappropriate, TERRIBLE SERVICE. I terrible terrible terrible I will never be returning here. Myself and my friends think this place is terrible. Inappropriate unprofessional lacking substance lacking humanity. Nowhere near as provocative as they claim. Terrible! I already started

Great Coffee! Highly recommend it for picking up a coffee on the go as service is extremely prompt! Breakfast is also aesthetically pleasing and most importantly, very tasty!
