Hands down my favourite spot in Edmonton. Perfect for all occasions- weekend brunch, dinners and they're constantly putting on exciting events. If you enjoy few eating amazing food and top notch drinks and wine, this is the place for you. They also have an amazing and inviting patio which we got to enjoy on our last visit. Darling is putting natural wine on the map in YEG!

Darling is a great restaurant! From the curated food and décor to the superb service, I think you can’t ask for more. ♥️ Rye Bread and Cultured Butter - I think it’s hard to mess this up. It was good! Dinner Feature - I forgot the name but it was my favorite! We’ve had two orders because I loved it! Coulotte Steak - Perfectly cooked and tasty! Chocolate Tart - This was my least favorite. It’s too sweet to my liking. Caramel and hazelnut heavy.

If you haven't been to Darling, I HIGHLY suggest you give them a visit! Free parking right outside the restaurant, and I found a close spot easily, even with a packed restaurant. We were seated fast. Food did not take long at all to come out. Our server was very attentive and even refilled our waters for us, regardless of the jug being on our table for us to refill ourselves. We shared the brioche French toast and the mushroom eggs Benedict. That was the best hollandaise I've EVER tasted. The brioche was freshly made, so fluffy and delicious. Even the side salad was phenomenal. 5 stars isn't enough to describe it. I will definitely be coming back. Portion sizes were perfect. We had extra to take home with us. Thanks Darling!!!

Beautiful ! Exquisite! Darling always impresses me. The service is always SO friendly, and the servers always are very knowledgeable about the menu. I have never received a bad recommendation. Darling is cozy, a great place if you want to have actual conversation, as it’s never loud or blaring music. They also have a lovely patio. We came for brunch this time. I had an American (cutest glassware), and the mushroom Benny. It was as you would expect of a Benny- delicious! But the mushrooms somehow made it feel lighter. Our server brought me a side of their Soppresata hollandaise- and it was a lovely surprise and went great with my potatoes. My husband had the Maple Glazed Pork Belly AND IT WAS AMAZING. The flavour was incredible. It is a large portion- so make sure you are hungry! Excited that we are closer to Darling now- we will be back! Thanks, Darling! -Janna (@midori.photos)

We went to Darling for brunch with friends, and it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. I ordered the eggs benedict paired with a cup of fresh filtered coffee—simple, elegant, and beautifully prepared. The flavors were well-balanced, and the presentation was spot on. The atmosphere at Darling is warm, modern, and inviting. From the thoughtful lighting to the fresh floral arrangements and cozy seating, every detail contributes to a sense of calm and comfort. We ended up staying for nearly three hours, chatting and catching up with friends, and never once felt rushed. This is the kind of place where time slows down—in the best way. Whether you’re there for a quick coffee or a long, relaxed meal, Darling creates the perfect space to connect and unwind. Highly recommend for a peaceful brunch outing.

Darling is good, not great. My friend and I came here for brunch and while the service wasn’t bad, we weren’t as blown away by the menu. We both ordered the Turkish eggs and they were a bit cold upon first bite. They also have East Coast oysters here which are my favourite. However, I thought it was funny that they advertised it as $4 for one or 6 for $24 when it’s the exact same price either way. You’re not getting a deal 😂 We also had to ask for a spoon for the mignonette twice to different staff members but we got it in the end so that’s OK. Overall, super cool patio, friendly staff, and inventive menu. I just wish the execution was a bit better.

Cozy spot with delicious food and an excellent service. Even though it was a busy day they found a place for us (3ppl). Not a big menu but every dish was tasty and the portions are generous. Will gladly come back there.

Went for brunch today the food was excellent. Our table had the Mushroom eggs beni, muffin eggs Beni and the exceptional pork belly. The food was sublime. Ale our server was engaging and knowledgeable, give her a raise 🙌 The meals were very reasonably priced for the high quality. If there was one thing that was a bit disappointing was the overpriced wine/drinks list. Work on more reasonable prices there and it would have been the perfect brunch 👌

Yelp
Wonderful wine bar and restaurant in the south on 82 Ave. Service is great and personable. Sound level is good for conversation. Dishes are meant for sharing. We ordered 5 dishes and 2 desserts for 4 people and every dish was a winner. Anchovy toast w pickled lemon sat atop a crunchy toast. The taste profile was perfect. I could have eaten a full plate! Next was carpaccio w hazelnuts and pickled butternut squash and pea shoots. So good we had two plates. Buratta w beets and blood orange was creamy and delicious on chewy bread. Miso cod was cooked well - still fork tender and moist on bok choy w pickles to give a kick. The desserts were wonderful - sorbet was berry w sage and candied almonds. The other was lime meringue served in a cute bowl. Creamy and w crunchy crust. They also had a wine of the day and a good selection of alcohol-free drinks. Try the alcohol free sangria. Yummy. Definitely a place to impress your date or spouse or friends. Just be comfortable w sharing. :) technically, they have the miso cod and steak that could serve as a traditional entree and just order a few apps to start for a more traditional meal if that's your fancy.

Yelp
This is a great little wine bar on the east side of 82 Ave. Meals are served tapas-style and meant to be shared. They have a good selection of vegetarian options but not much for vegans. My friend and I shared the rotating croquettes (apparently they are different every night), the roasted beet and blood orange burrata served with homemade sourdough, and the olives. The burrata was my favourite by far. I also finished the night with their rotating sorbet and it was the perfect way to end the meal. Service was excellent and the featured wine was $10 a glass. What's not to love about that?

Yelp
We had a lovely evening here celebrating a 40 th birthday. There isn't a children's menu but the chef made papardelle with butter for the two youngsters in our group. We tried all the vegetarian options as two of our group are vegetarian and it was a sharing menu .... My favourites were the roasted beet dip and the brassica salad .... Both full of flavour and seasoned to perfection. All the options were interesting flavour combinations that tasted great. The rye bread had a great texture and was tasty. We tried all three desserts. The fennel cake had an interesting black licorice flavour that was complemented very nicely by the rhubarb. The chocolate one was nice but the raspberry sorbet with chili oil wasn't to my taste. Service was good. Wine selection was interesting and had some unusual choices which we enjoyed. A very nice birthday celebration.

Yelp
Came in on Saturday night with short notice and was able to get a reservation. We were greeted promptly and asked if it was our first time there (which it was). They explained their concept on focus of natural wines. Their menu was small yet mighty. We opted for a barssica salad which was large in portion! The flavours were so rich it was one of our top dishes. The miso cod which was on the top tomato list was cooked perfect as the fish flaked off. The pasta was not too heavy but because the pasta was quite thin it was a bit soft as I prefer more al dente but flavours/texture were all there. Washrooms were clean and bright which is as a bonus!

Yelp
Darling is a newish (2 month old), tapas style spot located East of Whyte Ave. They have a gorgeous patio, and the inside is completely renovated as well. Our service was prompt, and servers were attentive all evening. We tried a huge variety of the menu, & the tables top favourites were the oysters, burrata, steak, & salad. Their patio, is a complete vibe & I would suggest hanging out there and just enjoying a tapas style meal with a good group of friends (who aren't in a rush btw).

Yelp
The food was delicious. It's definitely a place for a special occasion meal as it's on the more expensive side.

Yelp
Great little spot, tucked away and easy to miss. Cozy patio! Food was super, service wonderful... Ironically didn't have a chance to try their wines!
