Darmada Eco Resort

This place is beautiful and we were sad to have only 2 nights there. We stayed in Arjuna, a really cosy villa with everything you'd want (comfy bed, mosquito net, good showers, a nice patio). You are surrounded by green both in the foreground and the background, and you're right next to the river - soothing sounds you can hear all the time. The area is generally very quiet and peaceful. The on-site facilities are great, including the two shared pools, one of which is partially shaded which we liked. The staff were lovely, on the ball and really helpful, and there are a couple of supermarkets about 10-15 mins walk away. There's also a signposted rice terrace walk about 10 mins away - the views are excellent. The restaurant and food was ok, it did the job, but nothing special. The Indonesian dishes were not as tasty as in warungs, and the Western-style breakfast was quite average. I'd recommend the mie goreng and the nasi campur! Overall we would recommend Darmada to anyone who is looking to be immersed in the peaceful, green kind of nature that Sideman has to offer.

From checking in to paying the final bill, and all the delicious meals in between, nothing was too much for all the amazing staff here. ||The villa was delightful, the food was consistently outstanding, and the gorgeous pool refreshingly freezing. ||Got the best massage ive ever had in Bali. The hotel arranged for a scooter tour around the area, just brilliant. ||We loved our 4 nights here. I can not recommend it enough. Sideman is a jewel of a place and Darmada is a wonderful retreat amongst it.

We absolutely loved our stay at Darmada Eco Resort! We stayed in one of the family villas with a private pool. It was definitely our favourite place we stayed in Bali. The villa was stunning but also comfortable. The whole surrounding area is just beautiful. It's such a peaceful place to spend time, but I also love the comfort of having everything you need on site. We ate at the restaurant the 3 nights we stayed, and had breakfast every morning, the food was always lovely. But the service from the staff was definitely a highlight, we were always greeted with a friendly smile, they couldn't do enough for us. They took real time and care in ensuring we had everything we needed. Hopefully we will be able to return one day soon to stay here🙏 thank you so much to everyone involved in making our stay what it was.

Serene Sideman: A stunning place to do nothing but rest, read, eat, join a cookery class, have a massage, and watch and listen to the river rumbling by while staying in a relaxing riverside villa, in a beautiful resort, with the most kind and beautiful staff. The resort includes a lovely restaurant next to the river with beautifully presented food. The resort is spacious, private and so green and lush. There are heaps of activities which reception will organise for you. Experience a different side to Bali at Darmada Eco Resort and replenish your mind, body and spirit.

I had a wonderful stay at Darmada Eco Resort in Sideman! It was one of the highlights of my 2-week trip to Bali. The grounds are beautiful and surrounded by stunning views of mountains, rice fields and a river. You could hear the river flowing by constantly - it was nice waking up to this sound and mountain views. They also have a restaurant right by the river where you could eat while watching the river flow by. My room was spacious, comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. The only downside was that wifi was down in the resort for the entirety of my stay and the hot water ran out pretty quickly. Otherwise this is a great home base to from which to explore the beautiful village of Sideman. I will be sure to come back here!

We booked here as a place to stay for one night before moving to another city What can I say? We regretted that so much This place is perfect. We really would have wanted to stay longer. It was so good The location, the room and the staff We enjoyed everything here. It was so relaxing

This is a beautiful property with a big garden and lovely restaurant right by the river. The rooms are pretty and staff are super friendly and I was able to rent a scooter from them to explore the surrounding area. The rice field trek is in walking distance, too. The only issue was rhe construction site right next to my bungalow and while staff helped to reduce noise somewhat, I would have still expected to be informed upfront with some options without having to point out the obvious (the noise was unbearable when I arrived). Maybe ask before you come. Other than that, I can only recommend.

We absolutely love this place and our stay here for 3 nights was nowhere near long enough! Such a tranquil setting with stunning views and atmosphere, very friendly and kind staff, and enjoyable interesting activities. The food is also top class, some of the best Balinese food we have enjoyed in Bali, and yummy satisfying breakfast options. My only feedback is about the Soto Ayam - it didn’t taste like authentic home made stock, so was slightly disappointing. But everything else was really wonderful and we will definitely come again!
