Darmada Eco Resort

We absolutely loved our stay at Darmada Eco Resort! We stayed in one of the family villas with a private pool. It was definitely our favourite place we stayed in Bali. The villa was stunning but also comfortable. The whole surrounding area is just beautiful. It's such a peaceful place to spend time, but I also love the comfort of having everything you need on site. We ate at the restaurant the 3 nights we stayed, and had breakfast every morning, the food was always lovely. But the service from the staff was definitely a highlight, we were always greeted with a friendly smile, they couldn't do enough for us. They took real time and care in ensuring we had everything we needed. Hopefully we will be able to return one day soon to stay here🙏 thank you so much to everyone involved in making our stay what it was.

I had a wonderful stay at Darmada Eco Resort in Sideman! It was one of the highlights of my 2-week trip to Bali. The grounds are beautiful and surrounded by stunning views of mountains, rice fields and a river. You could hear the river flowing by constantly - it was nice waking up to this sound and mountain views. They also have a restaurant right by the river where you could eat while watching the river flow by. My room was spacious, comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. The only downside was that wifi was down in the resort for the entirety of my stay and the hot water ran out pretty quickly. Otherwise this is a great home base to from which to explore the beautiful village of Sideman. I will be sure to come back here!

Serene Sideman: A stunning place to do nothing but rest, read, eat, join a cookery class, have a massage, and watch and listen to the river rumbling by while staying in a relaxing riverside villa, in a beautiful resort, with the most kind and beautiful staff. The resort includes a lovely restaurant next to the river with beautifully presented food. The resort is spacious, private and so green and lush. There are heaps of activities which reception will organise for you. Experience a different side to Bali at Darmada Eco Resort and replenish your mind, body and spirit.

Beautifull small resort at the Unda river. All rooms have been recently updated with airco and coffee/tea making facilities. Stayed here several times, last stay was in a family Ikat-villa. For us very luxury with our own pool near the river! Rooms are big and clean, fresh towels every day and spacious bathrooms. The food in the restaurant is simply delicious, wonderfull breakfast. In the middle of nature with beautifull trees, flowers and a well which feeds the swimmingpool! Very friendly and helping staff.

We love everything about Darmada Eco Resort! Most importantly, more trees than buildings is a great proportion and perfect for rural location like Sidemen. From the moment we arrived, the manager Sri greeted us with kindness. She talks passionately about her hometown Sidemen and showing us around the eco resort. The cabins are mixed of colonial style (many colonial columns) and tropical Balinese, with eclectic & modern design. Love the vibrant exterior paint & colorful floor tiles! Our room (facing the river); bed, bathroom, shower, terrace are in great condition and are very clean. They have refill water station at the restaurant. Small but enough pool to chill. In the morning, we walk along the river side and take a refreshing dip. The food at the restaurant is nice & comforting. Breakfast include coffee/tea, choice of fruit platter/juice, and bread. One suggestion would be to use higher quality coffee beans. But, really, the most astounding is the greenery surrounding the place, from vanilla tree to water hyacinth to coconut and palm trees. Serene, tranquil, unpretentious, and really value their intention to putting nature first.

This is a beautiful property with a big garden and lovely restaurant right by the river. The rooms are pretty and staff are super friendly and I was able to rent a scooter from them to explore the surrounding area. The rice field trek is in walking distance, too. The only issue was rhe construction site right next to my bungalow and while staff helped to reduce noise somewhat, I would have still expected to be informed upfront with some options without having to point out the obvious (the noise was unbearable when I arrived). Maybe ask before you come. Other than that, I can only recommend.

We absolutely love this place and our stay here for 3 nights was nowhere near long enough! Such a tranquil setting with stunning views and atmosphere, very friendly and kind staff, and enjoyable interesting activities. The food is also top class, some of the best Balinese food we have enjoyed in Bali, and yummy satisfying breakfast options. My only feedback is about the Soto Ayam - it didn’t taste like authentic home made stock, so was slightly disappointing. But everything else was really wonderful and we will definitely come again!

This place was recommended to me by author Alexa West of The Solo Girl Traveler Guide. And I couldn’t have had more comfortable accommodations with the friendliest staff. What a treasure!! I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The kitchen was well equipped. The staff take such great care of the grounds and their guests. I had a great massage upon arrival. There were so many cool sitting areas to read your favorite book or journal. To top it off, I had the most profound palm reading by Wayan. I mean…how the heck is he able to be so spot on? This place was like my own little fairytale with starry nights and shooting stars, lightening bugs and butterflies, and soothing sounds of the river.
