This place is beautiful and we were sad to have only 2 nights there. We stayed in Arjuna, a really cosy villa with everything you'd want (comfy bed, mosquito net, good showers, a nice patio). You are surrounded by green both in the foreground and the background, and you're right next to the river - soothing sounds you can hear all the time. The area is generally very quiet and peaceful. The on-site facilities are great, including the two shared pools, one of which is partially shaded which we liked. The staff were lovely, on the ball and really helpful, and there are a couple of supermarkets about 10-15 mins walk away. There's also a signposted rice terrace walk about 10 mins away - the views are excellent.
The restaurant and food was ok, it did the job, but nothing special. The Indonesian dishes were not as tasty as in warungs, and the Western-style breakfast was quite average. I'd recommend the mie goreng and the nasi campur!
Overall we would recommend Darmada to anyone who is looking to be immersed in the peaceful, green kind of nature that Sideman has to offer.
