Darna Divers Village Beach Hotel & Dive Center

I stayed at this place last week (5nights), booking 2 rooms (Family 2+2), and also stayed here back in summer 2019. It was great to see how much the place has improved since then! The rooms are spotless, recently refurbished with new furniture and renewed bathrooms — everything feels fresh and comfortable. Even in the colder months, there’s always plenty of hot water, as each bathroom has its own electric boiler, which is really convenient. All the rooms have air-conditioning, and it works perfectly. There’s also a small fridge in the room, which is very handy. WiFi could be improved, at the moment there is no reception in the rooms with the sea view. WiFi available only by reception and pool side. What really made our stay special was the warm hospitality from Mahdi and his brothers. They went out of their way to help us with anything we needed. We could rent snorkeling gear for a small fee, and they even arranged diving lessons for three of us at just two hours’ notice! Mohamed was fantastic — he made sure we felt completely safe and made the whole diving experience really enjoyable. We had a great time and truly appreciated the personal care and attention from the whole team. Highly recommended!

It is located on the best snorkeling area in the region so if this is important to you can not find a better place. Diving was great as well. The food in nearby Tala bay resort is better though and worth a visit.

Didn’t stay here, but highly recommend the dive centre. I turned up late in the afternoon, worked out that I couldn’t dive the next morning (travelling to altitude area), and the team made a special effort to take me for a solo dive later in the afternoon. Great gear, professional set up, amazing location and the dive was awesome. Thanks to the whole team, don’t look anywhere else for a dive company in Aqaba.

Upon arrival at this establishment, one of the owners realizd I spoke Hebrew with two bedouin guests who also spoke the language and live in my country. He came up to me and asked as he aggressively attached his face to mine: "what are you doing here?" before I could reply, he continued in English: "get out before I break your face." I left the place and advise anyone to take note that this establishment exhibits a violent attitude.

Care, love and getting into the travellers shoes is missing here:|From the simple fact that coffe is not prepared from beans but soluble, to the rooms with dripping taps, or wooden floors with nails popping out.|When food is finished at breakfast, it is not replaced.|Is could easily become a cosy and nice place to stay with a little love and interest.

I'm really surprised to read negative reviews of Darna Divers - we've just come back from 2 weeks in Jordan and spent a few days with the guys at Darna and thought it was great. ||The hotel room was clean & air conditioned, although the water pressure in the shower wasn't top notch. The food was good, the Turkish coffee was better, the service was with a smile, the pool was in good use and there was a lovely relaxed vibe to the whole place. ||What really impressed us though, was the dive center. We went with our kids (10 & 13) neither of whom had dived before. We were guided on three fabulous dives, and our dive instructors couldn't have been more attentive, more professional and more willing to show us the best that the diving had to offer. We felt 100% looked after, and totally safe and could tell that they were absolutely "on it" the entire time. I'd definitely go back!

In our trip in Jordan we stayed 3 days to this hotel, and we had a Wonderful experience. We were a group with Children and also elder people. The location is ideal, just in front of a nice beach. The hotel is clean, rooms are not luxury but this is not what you expect diving village. The breakfast is great and also the restaurant offers quality and tasty food. The swimming pool is nice and there is lot of places where to relax with sea view. Staff is very helpful and nice. They have of course a diving center where we had 2 dives (we are open water certified) and were great. Our children did also their first two dives and had real fun. The instructors were great also with the children. Overall a nice experience. We'll be happy to stop there again next time. Book in advance!
