I'm really surprised to read negative reviews of Darna Divers - we've just come back from 2 weeks in Jordan and spent a few days with the guys at Darna and thought it was great. ||The hotel room was clean & air conditioned, although the water pressure in the shower wasn't top notch. The food was good, the Turkish coffee was better, the service was with a smile, the pool was in good use and there was a lovely relaxed vibe to the whole place. ||What really impressed us though, was the dive center. We went with our kids (10 & 13) neither of whom had dived before. We were guided on three fabulous dives, and our dive instructors couldn't have been more attentive, more professional and more willing to show us the best that the diving had to offer. We felt 100% looked after, and totally safe and could tell that they were absolutely "on it" the entire time. I'd definitely go back!

Very kind. Extremely welcoming. Good atmosphere. The personnel makes you feel welcome at any time. The hotel is just across from the coral reef. Rooms are comfortable. Food is good. No alcohol is served. And of course, if you are a diving buff, this is the place to be in Jordan.

In our trip in Jordan we stayed 3 days to this hotel, and we had a Wonderful experience. We were a group with Children and also elder people. The location is ideal, just in front of a nice beach. The hotel is clean, rooms are not luxury but this is not what you expect diving village. The breakfast is great and also the restaurant offers quality and tasty food. The swimming pool is nice and there is lot of places where to relax with sea view. Staff is very helpful and nice. They have of course a diving center where we had 2 dives (we are open water certified) and were great. Our children did also their first two dives and had real fun. The instructors were great also with the children. Overall a nice experience. We'll be happy to stop there again next time. Book in advance!

Darna was unequivocally the worst place we stayed at during our trip to Jordan. The staff is unpleasant, they clearly have better things to do than help you and they make it clear to you. The rooms were barely acceptable, electric outlet close to the bed was almost open and had clearly been on fire before. The restaurant is very basic, fast food quality, you wait on loooong time and they did not even apologize when they forgot one of the four orders. And it’s not even cheap. It was by far the worst meal from the whole trip and one of the most expensive. Well, don’t go there. The only positive thing is the dive guide, he is one of the best divers I have met. Solid guy! But even there, the equipment is worn, and I would not go on a deep dive with their gear. It was fine for the tank and the Hercules but no more (leaking first stages, bad rubber seals, grey/green first first stage which clearly had taken water before…). Avoid.

The rooms at this place were clean, which made my stay comfortable and enjoyable. The pricing was quite reasonable considering the quality of accommodation provided. Overall, it was a great value for the money spent. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean and affordable stay.

This was our 2nd stay at Darna Divers Village and surely not the last! :-)||We like the place a lot due to the super friendly and helpful staff, the tasty breakfast, and the nearby Red Sea with nice snorkeling opportunities.||The rooms are clean and well-equipped.|The overall place is nicely decorated, calm, and quiet as the street in front of the hotel is seldom used (most of the traffic passes by the straight road in the west).|The food is tasty and we especially liked the breakfast.|There are some nice and cozy seating areas that are especially comfortable to hide from the sun at noon or to gather in the evening. There is also a selection of board & card games as well as some books.||The beach with nice reefs for snorkeling is right in front of the hotel.|It is a fine option to walk a bit north to the Marine Park Visitor Center / Japanese Sea Garden with your snorkeling gear, get into the water there, and let the gentle current & waves take you back along the reef to South Beach in front of the hotel. This is a great option to see quite a lot of nice and colorful reef fish and even turtles and octopuses. ||The only downside in terms of snorkeling & relaxing on South Beach were 2 very annoying small glass bottom boats (plenty of those are usually located at Al-Ghandour Beach in Aqaba) with loud music and quite pushy skippers trying to gather customers on the beach (actually, nobody was interested but rather annoyed). They did not take care of the clearly marked swimming zone, crossed the reef even in shallow waters without care, and also passed us extremely close (without customers) while we were snorkeling, despite they clearly saw us. ||Diving was also nice with Darna (similar as during our first visit in 2018). The dive guides are friendly and helpful. I brought most of my own gear, but gear rental is also very common there.|You do not have to walk to the dive sites as you will be taken by pickup truck of mini bus with max 5 min driving time to the nearby sites. ||In terms of dive sites, I liked most the magnificent wreck of Cedar Pride as well as the Rainbow Reef together with the soft coral covered Jetty nearby the latter place. Both offer great options to spot several species of fish as well as a lot of good photo opportunities.||We would like to thank the kind, friendly, and helpful staff of Darna and are looking forward to come back for a 3rd stay with you.||Thank you very much for the nice and relaxing week at your hotel & warm greetings from Germany!

This place has great hosts, a wonderful pool and terrace and you can see the red sea from your window. The room is very basic but has airconditioning and tv. Good wifi too. And… they cook a great lunch. Recommendable
