The nostalgia is worth a visit alone! Fantastic atmosphere. Just as I remember. I waited tables for Darryls in Midlothian, VA for a couple of years and this place was just like it. Two stories and all kinds of neat little tables to sit at. Themed seating areas, which is quite fun. Great to just walk around and take a look at everything. Our server was fantastic! Great service. The potato skins we're massive and cooked perfectly. My wife said her French Onion soup was spot on. I got the 3 sampler with onion rings and beans. Shrimp was a little overcooked, but the ribs were just as I remembered. Tenders were pretty tender. Got a fresh peach lemonade that hit the spot. Like the local beers they had on tap. Hugh place, 2 fire pits outside and some outdoor seating. We had a Great meal.and fantastic time!

We brought our out of town friends here because our first visit was so good. We were greeted and seated and our server was very personable. Our food orders were delicious from start to finish. We will continue to bring guests here and enjoy the cool atmosphere that is here.

You absolutely need to go the this place. The staff squeezed us in so kindly and everyone was so nice. Not to mention our steaks were cooked perfectly! I wish I was from Greensboro because I would literally be a regular here.

Industrial mixed with Rustic interior, eye catching and gives out great atmosphere. Buffalo chicken wings and Classic BBQ beef ribs are great great. I believe Beef ribs are unique as usually only see pork ribs in other BBQ restaurants. We like the Sauce and taste. Linguine probably is average. I would come again for the beef ribs, price is also fair enough. Oh, cocktail is recommended too.

My husband and I went for Friday night dinner. We used to go to the Darryl’s in Winston Salem when we were dating. This was a trip back in time for us and we loved every minute of it. The food was delicious, the portions were huge and our server Lindsay was fantastic. We can’t wait to go back

Came here for a date night with the husband from Lexington. It was amazing! The prime rib was tender as heck and the loaded baked potato was to die for. We will be back. Excellent!

Such a good meal at Darryl’s in Greensboro this evening. The food was great and all the wait staff were friendly and mannerly. Inside was really clean and the overall atmosphere and decor is really fun and welcoming. Our waiter Darrius was very courteous and attentive.

Will be back for sure. Thanks Eva for great service. Went here with family for a B day dinner. Barbecue chicken was good. Prime rib was real good and tender. Service was quick. Appetizer of stuffed mushrooms and potatoes wedges taste great.

Darryl's Wood Fired Grill was AMAZING! We ordered so much food and ended up taking most of it home because the portions were HUGE. The potato skins are something I'll be dreaming about--they definitely did not skimp on the servings of anything! We came in starving and left completely full. The ambiance and space were electric, and the décor was everything. I honestly felt like I had stepped into another world once inside. The service was fast and very informative, especially since we're not native to North Carolina. Our server gave great recommendations, and we ended up taking every single one of them. 10000000/10 recommend!

Darryl's Wood Fired Grill is a great stop for meeting people passing through Greensboro. It offers consistently good food and friendly service in a fun, laid-back setting, with plenty of parking to make the visit easy. The wood-fired grill dishes are classics for a reason, and the full bar--stocked with a strong selection of beer and wine, is perfect for unwinding after a long drive (my partner especially enjoyed the local IPAs). Portions are generous, and the diverse menu makes it easy for everyone to find something they'll love. I recommend the fried mushroom appetizer, they were so good we ordered them twice. The house-made crackers are also a must. Add in the quirky themed seating and outdoor fire pits, and Darryl's delivers a cool, memorable vibe you don't find just anywhere.

I got to pick where we celebrated Friday the 13th and not only did I choose Darryl's, I kinda dictated what our menu plan would be. My motive was to share some items so we'd have room for their famous and delicious Cappuccino Cake. Spoiler alert, we didn't save room and we got the cake to go. I got the flight of Patron Margaritas in memory of my Bestie, Sherry and Hubs got the Pig Pounder Pale Ale. We ordered the stuffed fried mushrooms, and we split the full rack of ribs (yes, they fell off the bone) with baked beans and Mac n cheese and an order of the Cajun fried shrimp with fries. Everything was delicious and we took quite a bit home in To Go boxes. Lexi provided great service and answered all questions. FYI we were so stuffed, we didn't even eat dinner. Don't worry, we ate the cake this morning with our coffee. We ate the leftovers at lunch and some tonight for dinner. All in all, a great experience!

Good, but not up to previous wonderful experiences. I LOVE their baby back ribs because they are always tender with great flavor. For my birthday, we ordered baby back ribs (I usually order some sauce on the side because I like my ribs to be saucy-my bad) with the French fries and beans, stuffed mushrooms, cajun chicken pasta and a side caesar salad to go. Pick up experience was not great. We parked in the to go parking only spot and waited-I don't know how long but the sign said to wait and that they would bring it out to us. Eventually an employee came out the door and turned back inside and told them that they had a customer in parking lot. (I'm thinking food is probably getting old.) The female employee did something sweet for my birthday. Yay! Once home, food Was cold. We had to nuke and bake in order to eat. Fries obviously were cold and chewy and baking them didn't improve anything. I wouldn't have ordered fries, but they only offer fries and baked beans as sides with an option to swap a side salad for one or soup for additional $. Pasta was great after nuking it. My favorite stuffed mushrooms were soggy and stuffing spilling out of them. I tried to crisp them up again in oven and it was just awful. So I have had so many awesome experiences ordering in the restaurant, picking up and being delivered. It's just a shame that this was my birthday celebratory dinner this year. I will return, but I don't have the warm fuzzies for Darryl's that I used to have.

We love coming to Darryl's whenever we're in town. The decor is so comfortable, the staff is excellent, and the food is fantastic. Our server, Jan, took great care of us today! We were treating a friend to an early birthday dinner and she chose the same meal as me, but different sides. We both got the pork chops, she had mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli, and I chose baked beans and slaw. The pork chops were to die for!! We both had them add bbq sauce while cooking and some on the side. The pork was as tender as a perfectly cooked steak and the flavor was wonderful. I look forward to the leftovers I brought home. My spouse got a full rack of baby back ribs so she'd have leftovers too with baked beans and mac n cheese. She's never had their mac n cheese before and commented how good it was. The ribs and beans were excellent as to be expected. I know if there was a location in the Triangle we'd be regulars, but it really isn't too far for an occasional visit when we get a craving!

Great and cured ambience. Even their landscaping is meticulous. This had so much potential. Many rooms with different motifs. A good spot for drinks and dessert. And great service. However!!!! Business dinner. The hot spinach came with stale corn chips. Two entrees. Cajun fettuccine was bland. Grilled chicken Caesar was hard to eat. The grilled chicken came straight out of the freezer. It had that subtle taste of freezer and plastic bag. The cheesecake and key lime pie were very good. But the whole package was very subpar.

Good service, decent food, very interesting decor. Didn't quite hear the history of the interior design but there was plenty to look at here. I tried the house pimento (definitely has a kick!) with the house crackers (dry, no personality). I took the beef ribs to go and was impressed with how tender they were. They practically shredded in my fingers when I pinched the meat off the bone. The bbq sauce was on the tangy side, not bad though I prefer mine to be a tad sweeter. Cash helped me and was attentive and efficient. There are other bbq joints in the area, and though I'm curious enough to come back and try other dishes, I may want to check out other places first to compare.

I ordered the BBQ chicken with cheese grits & baked beans as sides. The chicken was seasoned perfectly. It had just enough BBQ sauce on it too. The cheese grits are very cheesy and just plain good. The baked beans were delicious too.

The food was great. Everything was yummy. Service was excellent as always. I love the decor here. It is so retro. I also would like to Thank our server Cashmere for the great service she made lunch a pleasure.

Darryl's Wood Fired Grill is a American style food of variety of options. Food: the appetizers were good, the potato skins, the salad, and the Cajun shrimps were great! The ribs, chicken fingers, steak with shrimps and the mash potato was amazing! Service: Lindsey is our waitress and she was awesome. She provided great feedback for food options. Her service of bringing the drinks and food out is quick and her follow up is great! Ambiance: the ambiance of the Resturant is nice, updated, huge, and has several floors with different dynamics. Its spacing can accommodate large families and intimate space for couples. There's booth, elevated, and standardized The overall rating 4.6/5.0

The service was not good. Our server tried to get us to order one minute after we sat down and we asked for a few minutes to look at our menus. She didn't come back for another 10-15 minutes. I ordered the French Dip sandwich and when it arrived a lot of the Au jus was spilled all over the plate. The sandwich was lacking in flavor, it needed to horseradish and Au jus to taste okay. My son ordered the Cajun Shrimp Alfredo and said it was good, but there was no Cajun flavor. It was an experience, but I probably wouldn't come here again.

Came here dinner while in town. Sat at the bar and ordered a beer and barbecue chicken. Got a side Ceaser and a baked potato. Ceaser was ok. Chicken and baked potatoe were also decent just not real hot. Service was very good and decent ambiance.

I hadn't been to Darryl's in several years and given the good reviews on Yelp I was looking forward to going. I was with party of 8 and the first mishap occurred with us having to wait for nearly 45 min to be seated due to a miscommunication about reservations, even though an attempt had been made earlier in the week. Sadly, the only highlight of the evening was our server. She was outstanding--friendly and attentive, despite the restaurant being super busy. As for the food, I ordered the Texas Roadrunner Chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The meal arrived lukewarm, which I tolerated considering how long it had already taken to be seated, place our order, and finally receive the food Did I expect a five-star dining experience? No. Did I expect a hot, satisfying meal worth the price? Absolutely. Instead, I left disappointed. For me, Darryl's missed the mark.

This is a unique place with thematic settings in different areas. I went in and decided to eat on the patio, it was nice out. I decided to try some unique menu items, so I had their homemade crackers and pimento cheese. The crackers were in fact, a great big homemade thing that was somewhere between matzo and water cracker. It comes out all broken up on a plate and it's very good. The pimento cheese, was a spicy variety served cold, I think that's the way Permento and she should be served. It was delightful. The main dish was a half a rack of pork ribs. I had mine with a creamy coleslaw and a mac & cheese. Both the sides were delightful very good flavor. Nothing over the top nothing substandard, just good homemade sides. The ribs were amazing, they fell off the bone. They were served with a sweet barbecue sauce, but completely would've been fine without it. There was no meat left on the bone when I left because I ate it all. I would recommend this restaurant and I think next time I'm going to eat inside in one of the themed booths. It would be a good date night restaurant or even a special occasion kind of date. It's not fancy it's not pretentious, it's just fun. It is almost as if Darrell's is a national chain that does everything right, and we just haven't heard of it. I mean, there are elements of Applebee's from 40 years ago in there. There's sort of elements of TGI Fridays from 35 or 40 years ago there's even a little bit of Bennigan's thrown in. Darryl's exceeds them all in its execution as well as its food quality.

Food was good(take out) But the service was far from great. 3 different people came out to take my order and none of them could complete the task or even bother to attempt the order

I cannot believe I have lived near Darryl's for over eight years and this is the first time I have been there. I have been missing out for certain. We went to Darryl's during the ACC championship at the First Horizon Coliseum, which meant they were slammed with people after the basketball game. The wait time was 45 minutes to an hour when we arrived, but once we were seated, our waitress acted as if we were the only ones there because she was still highly attentive. The food was hot and delicious. The tater skins are the best I've had anywhere. Perfectly crispy, with just enough potato left behind. And the toppings are plentiful and adhere to the potato. We all got ribs to eat, and both my littles needed to go to the bathroom to wash up after because they were covered in sauce from devouring them. The inside of the restaurant is so neat! Each area is subdivided into a theme. There's a cinema theme, a jail theme, and a circus theme, just to name a few. Even though there are bathrooms on the lower level, my littles needed to go examine the jail bathroom on the second level with its stainless steel toilet. We toured the restaurant while we waited for our food and definitely found some additional areas we want to eat at when we return to the restaurant. They are definitely good for groups and parties, as the cinema room has an overhead projector and screen. Or you can come here for a date night. Either way, go to Darryl's and enjoy your evening.

The service was fine and I think our server was probably pretty overrun. They had like 8 birthdays while we were there. The fried cheese wedges were good but the Cajun shrimp were very much not and I got a bit of an upset stomach. They also were not spicy at all. The drink was fine but definitely not what I ordered as it had nothing blue in it. We were seated in a kind of quirky spot upstairs and the decor was an interesting mix of dive bar, neon, murals, and traffic lights.

This is the only place in town that I know of that serve beef ribs. The ribs were excellent and everything else we ordered were top notch. I have never been here before but saw a commercial and had to try it. We will definitely be back for more.

Always one of my favorites because it never disappoints. The food is consistently good and plentiful. This review is about amazing customer service my husband and I received from our waiter. Ramon was a whole vibe. He was knowledgeable about the events held just a few blocks away at the coliseum. He stated he changed the music in the restaurant to promote the atmosphere of a major show happening that night. We joked about music and held conversations but not once did our drinks go dry. Ramon was very attentive and tuned into his customers. I pray this young man's charisma never dulls. As always we will be back!

We love the atmosphere and the greetings from the host and servers. I really enjoyed my mushrooms starters and the sweet ice tea for my delicious tender savory chicken "Texas Roadrunner. It's our first time to visit this awesome place and I highly recommend it if you are in the area visiting. I will come back to try the other dishes to choose from.

We had a similar restaurant in CLT, but went OOB 30ish years ago. Found out through SM this restaurant was here. Took a road trip 10/4/25 from Charlotte. We got there about 4:30 and were seated promptly upstairs. Note: it was very chilly upstairs and I'm not cold natured. Bring a sweater if you are. It was warmer downstairs when we left; not sure if there's an outdoor dining area but I would choose that on milder days. Hubby got the baby-back ribs, and chose fries and mashed potatoes as his 2 sides. He enjoyed all of them. I got the sampler of my Cajun shrimp, baby-back ribs and 2 chicken tenders. I chose baked potato (after 4 or 5pm) and onion rings. It came with honey mustard, ranch and a mildly spicy, horseradish dipping sauce for the shrimp. I'm not a huge horseradish fan so I asked for tartar sauce, and the server brought it promptly. Everything was delicious and cooked well. The tenders are huge and the ribs are fall off the bone tender. The shrimp was as I remembered. Baked potato and onion rings were delicious, also. I only finished about half and the waitress (who was precious and personable) asked if I wanted a to-go box without me even having to. Smart idea is the sauces come out in to-go containers so if you want to take them home, they can give you the lids. We stopped at Dewey bakery in WS on the way up there so didn't get any dessert. It was a good road trip and only about 2 hours away from home. Will definitely be back.

I went here the other day for dinner. The service was good. The food was good too! I had a house salad to start with cilantro citrus dressing. That dressing was so light. I also had the Chardonnay glazed salmon with a baked potato. It was cooked perfectly. I really liked the Chardonnay glaze!! They have tons to seating upstairs and downstairs. They even have a cool birthday song they sing.

I've been a couple times and me personally the food is ok. The service is great, and everyone is friendly. The drinks are amazing. They had a bartender named Cash and she was so nice and she is the reason I went back a second time. It's a place i would go after work to grab drinks with the guys.

Good food. Good service. Fun, quirky atmosphere. The salmon is outstanding. Potato soup was tasty and the French dip was worthy of a repeat. I remember when there were Darryl's all over the place. It's a shame this is the only one left.

You may not want to sit at the bar when you go. I had the half rack of baby back ribs with fries and bake beans. Everything came out fine, even the fries which I like crispy. But they never asked if the food was okay or if needed anything. I had to get up and find the black pepper and hot sauce.After eating baby backs you know your hands get messy. So be prepared. The service could have been better.

The ribs were tough and chewy, not ideal. The server was odd in manors and I rather just serve myself instead of having him touch my plates ... just a poor experience. I am not the one to complain at the table but I just won't come back to such a place

We were promptly seated in a cozy two-seater near the bar and decided to start with the spinach artichoke dip. Unfortunately, it turned out to be quite ordinary--nothing to write home about. Our waiter, Michael, who was also mixing drinks, got overwhelmed, and I could sense that my food would be left sitting in the window. Sure enough, when it arrived, it was cold--definitely not what I expected! As a Southern girl, I have a strong aversion to cold grits, so I hesitated to send it back. Thankfully, Juan stepped in to help, showcasing the teamwork among the staff. Now, we're just waiting for our reheated dishes to return. Fingers crossed that my culinary knight in shining armor will deliver some hot food soon! UPDATE: Mgr comped my App.we left as it was getting late and I needed to eat. Educators have to get up quite early. I will go back when it's not as busy. Just bummed about it.

When we decided on Darryl's, I was expecting a restaurant like a Texas Roadhouse. Peanut shells or sawdust covering the floor. Boots and hats adoring the walls. Yeah, y'all know what I'm talking about. Not Darryl's. Darryl's is a mashup between a Planet Hollywood and a New Orleans Boudoir turned into a restaurant. When I went to the bathroom and came out, I was half expecting a madam to elegantly stroll down the stairs and introduce me to the team. There are old movie posters everywhere. King Kong, Jaws, Scarface, and plenty more from the 70s, 60s, and before that My colleagues enjoyed their ribs and I was thrilled for them. As I didn't have much choice in the location or the menu offerings, I had French fries. So why the 4 stars? Our service was very friendly and since it's been a fat brisket of time, I don't remember the young man's name but he was super kind, put up with a very demanding order from my colleague and entertained his every whim. And that's a win. A huge win

We visited Darrel's Wood Fried Grill in Greensboro, NC before heading to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra show, and it ended up being the perfect start to our night. The atmosphere alone is worth the trip--especially because we got to sit in the Ferris wheel seat, which made the whole experience feel extra fun and unique. Our appetizers were perfect--fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The main meals were delicious as well, cooked just right with that wood-fired taste that sets Darrel's apart. You can tell they put care into the food. We did have a new server who was very kind but still learning the menu and forgot a few things along the way. Honestly, though, we didn't mind at all. We just rolled with it, enjoyed our evening, and still had a great experience overall. Between the great food, the fun seating, and the relaxed vibe, Darrel's Wood Fried Grill was a win for us. We'll definitely go back!

I've been visiting Darryl's for decades. It has been consistent all these years. I made a reservation through the Yelp app for a party of 4 (my teenage daughter and her friends). I chose to have a bite to eat in the bar area away but near from them. Before I rave about my meal, I would like to rave about out the decor. I love the odd layout of Darryl's. The maze like layout creates personal nooks for a unique experience. The waitress at the bar was very attentive. She stopped to check on me often to ensure I was taken care of. She made an excellent choice in beer. I ordered the Darryl's bacon cheeseburger. It was quite delicious. The meat was cooked just the way I asked. All of the toppings were fresh. I got a chance to chat up with two other patrons who sat near me at the bar. Good times! Can't wait to go back.

Food was good. Drinks didn't taste like it had alcohol in them. Although service was good we only got served after about 20 minutes of sitting at our table. But overall it was a pleasant experience.

My parents wanted to come here for "nostalgic" reasons because they used to come here for dates, I had never been and let me say first off, I LOVE the interior design. It is so unique and the chair I sat in was so comfy. We did have to wait for about 40 minutes but we were also there Labor Day Weekend and on a Sunday. Our waitress was super super kind and checked in on us regularly. For the appetizers we got the stuffed mushrooms and the potato skins. My dad was really excited about the stuffed mushrooms and, as someone who doesn't even like mushrooms that much, they were good!! The sauce is what made it so delicious. The potato skins were amazing too, I preferred them in the ranch than the sour cream. I wanted something light so I ordered the chicken salad, salad. Which is HUGE by the way!!!!! It came with a giant cracker right in the middle. I couldn't finish it but boy was it yummy. My brother and dad were very impressed with their steaks as well. For dessert i had the brownie and my sister had the cheesecake. She enjoyed it and finished it all, and the brownie.. didn't stand a chance, it sat in front of me for maybe 1 minute before it was gone. Overall, I was very happy with the food and experience here. I am leaving it at a 4 because I would like to go back and try more food before giving it a 5. Also, I forgot to take pics of all the food I had but some pics are better than none!

Second time visiting. We had top notch service! Today is Saturday & got there around 6:45-7pm. It was about a 10-15 minute wait, which really wasn't bad for a Saturday night. Our appetizer was the stuffed mushrooms. Crispy on the outside and mushrooms stuffed with cream cheese. It was very good. As soon as we ordered them, they were at our table after like 10 mins or so! Super fast! Our entrees came out just as quick too. We were very impressed with how quick the service was! I ordered the Darryl's slow roasted prime rib with a side of white cheddar Mac n'cheese & baked beans. My fiancé ordered the Darryl's roadside chicken with a side of loaded baked potato & the baked beans as well. Both entrees were splendid! Though, the chicken was a little tough to chew, it had great flavor! As for our drinks, we ordered the lemon drop martini, giligan's little buddy, & the third was something like Darryl's Tikki?? When the lemon drop got to the table it looked like there wasn't enough in my glass, but it sure did hit me hard! I've gotta say, it was one of the best martini's I've had compared to other places. The two other drinks were pretty good as well. The giligan's little buddy was a tad too much like straight up pineapple juice... We had an incredible waitress. It felt she went above & beyond for us. She was on it! Thank you, Dakota, for the top notch service & excellent experience at Darryl's!

Waited 45 minutes for a ta le. Was seated and after 15 minutes we never even were acknowledged. Not even for a drink order. Several staff members were standing around talking and cutting up. Very disappointed in what is supposed to be a more upper style restaurant. Never again.

Loved this restaurant, its is a art vibe/ ambiance and delicious food made for a memorable dining experience. The attentive staff ensured that every need was met, adding to the overall enjoyment of the meal. The menu offered a variety of options, from classic dishes to unique creations, catering to all tastes. I can't wait to come back and try more of their delectable offerings.

I have been coming to Darryls since I was a very small kid. I have always loved this place simply b/c of the atmosphere and the Beauty that surrounds every corner & brick! I hope it stays open for another 50 years. Love those RIBS & CHEESE STICKS! YUM!

Awesome atmosphere, good food and nice service. We had a few appetizers and some burgers and all was really good.

The ambience was nice - well decorated and cozy. My server was wonderful, very friendly and efficient. However, the food was mediocre. The French onion soup was delicious in flavor, but had an extreme volume of bread in it. It was literally saturated full of bread throughout the entire bottom of the crop, but the flavor was very good. Lasagna was mealy and mushy, and not particularly flavorful. All in all, reasonable prices and adequate food. Great service. ‍

Food is always tasty...Staff always pleasant...I also like that they do reservations...I have always been shown to my table at the reserved time!

My group decided to come here last second, and boy, there was a line literally out of the door. We gave our name so we could be call when a table was available. They did say it would be about a 40min wait. We almost left after about 15min, but we were called as soon as we stood up to go. Our server was very friendly and helpful. I got the Shrimp and Grits and very much enjoyed it. The broccoli was ok, just needed some salt. The white cheddar mac 'n cheese was pretty good as well. One friend really liked her sauceless chicken Alfredo (don't worry we looked at her sideways too), while the other liked her food, but said it was over cooked. The last time I was here, I had a good experience, but the time prior was awful. This was a pretty good redemption. I would be back, but I'd be more mindful of timing. I don't mind a bar environment, this was too crowded for me.

Best Filet Mignon in North Carolina. Service could be approved upon, but the Filet is amazing. Ambiance in the restaurant depends upon where they sit you. The last time I ate there the booth was so tight that it was uncomfortable for me and my daughter, but the filet is worth the pain.

Waited two hours to get our food. When we asked for manager he came back ten minutes later and said I'm sorry your food was accidentally given to another table and if you want to reorder it's going to be quite a while. So not acceptable!
