This hotel truly lives up to its 5-star reputation across the board. Below are a few key pointers.||Highlights:| • The property is expansive, I genuinely lost track of how many swimming pools there were.| • The food is excellent. The sushi menu, while a bit overpriced, is of outstanding quality and beautifully presented.| • The view from the 4th-floor pool was absolutely stunning.| • The spa is generously sized and thoughtfully designed.| • The hotel strikes a perfect balance between family-friendly and adults-only spaces, ensuring each guest type enjoys their stay without interference.| • The concierge team was incredibly helpful, curating a fantastic itinerary of day trips complete with insightful, local-style guidance. This really made our holiday.| • The rooms are spacious, elegantly designed, and well-equipped. The welcome treats of champagne, fruit, and a chocolate platter were a lovely touch.| • Robes and towels were plentiful and available wherever needed.| • The family spa was reasonably size and our children loved it. It’s quite rare to find such a good one in these sorts of hotels. | • The wine selection is excellent and fairly priced.| • The interior design is beautiful and detailed. They clearly invested in quality rather than cutting corners, and it shows.||Areas for Improvement:| • The large sliding doors in our suite offered incredible views, but unfortunately lacked adequate soundproofing. Traffic noise from the valley was noticeable.| • The room lacked blackout curtains, making it bright as soon as the sun rose.| • The main bar feels out of step with the rest of the hotel’s elegant aesthetic. Its large, backlit shelving resembled something from Ikea and dominated the space. A custom-designed, statement bar would significantly improve the public area.| • Several features in the older kids’ playroom, such as the PlayStation and air hockey table, were broken. Given the cost of our suite, I expected these facilities to be better maintained, especially when travelling with an 11-year-old where working tech makes a big difference.| • More drink and water stations near the pools would be a welcome addition. You become rather thirsty without them.| • The cheese board was excellent and well-curated, but a few additional accompaniments would have made it even better.||In summary, this is a great hotel with only a few minor areas that, if addressed, could push the experience from excellent to exceptional.
