DAS EDELWEISS Salzburg Mountain Resort

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at – especially when traveling with children. I combined this trip with both family time and work, and it was the perfect place for both. A big thank you to the entire service team during dinner, especially to Elisabeth and Marina. You could feel their experience. Special thanks to Mohamed at the bar - his hospitality truly stood out. Always funny and accommodated…overall a very talented bartender. The only issue I noticed there seems to be the internal hierarchy. It appears that he somewhat held back by the rest of the team. As a business owner myself, I recognize these dynamics. Breakfast, Dinner, Pool, Spa - I don‘t know if there is more you can expect. At least I am more than satisfied. At that point thanks to the guy who makes the sauna infusion. It seems that he does his job with passion. Overall, a fantastic experience that I can highly recommend.

I do not recommend this hotel at all. The food was not good and the service was extremely slow. During our stay, five diamond rings were stolen from my sister-in-law, including her wedding and engagement rings. The hotel management handled the situation very poorly. We were informed that there are no security cameras, which means there was no way to investigate or prove what happened — something that is deeply concerning in itself. The lack of empathy from the hotel manager was especially disappointing. She stated that it was not her responsibility and did not offer any form of apology or goodwill gesture, not even a small compensation such as chocolates, wine, or flowers.

Absolutely exceptional stay at Das Edelweiss in Salzburg! From the moment we arrived, the service, atmosphere, and attention to detail were outstanding. The rooms are elegant and cozy with breathtaking mountain views, and the spa is pure perfection — easily one of the best I’ve ever experienced. The food was divine, with every meal feeling like fine dining. A true blend of luxury and warmth — can’t wait to come back!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at the hotel! First of all, the location and views are amazing, combined with lots of facilities for families creates the atmosphere for a real vacation, the pools, rooms and in general hotel design is on a very high level. Second, the food and services, the staff is always welcoming and willing to help and the international kitchen is absolutely fantastic for people who are not in favor of Austrian food. Lastly, the Mercedes experience is an absolute must, we really enjoyed this unique experience. I highly recommend the hotel, we will come back for sure.

Very disappointing experience – lack of responsibility and poor value During our stay at the hotel, jewelry was stolen directly from our room, including my diamond engagement ring. This was an extremely upsetting experience. The hotel took no responsibility whatsoever and showed no real interest in helping or addressing the situation. We contacted the police, but unfortunately that also did not lead to any resolution. Beyond this serious issue, the overall experience was disappointing. The food was not good and absolutely not worth the very high prices charged by the hotel. Due to the lack of security, accountability, and poor value for money, I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

Unsafe environment and poor management There are serious concerns regarding security at this hotel. Guests have reported items going missing from their rooms and have said the hotel has no security cameras. Management reportedly offers no assistance and shows little interest in resolving these issues. A hotel should provide safety and peace of mind — this one clearly does not. I didn’t stay at this hotel personally but my friends had the worst experience there.

Wonderful luxury hotel with a lot of activities and playing areas and pools for the children. |We were 3 families with young children and they especially enjoyed the water slides, also great for a rainy day. |I especially enjoyed swimming every morning early in the sports pool.|Excellent service and amazing breakfast . |Rooms were beautifully designed and comfortable as the whole hotel. |Lovely views of the mountains. |Some of the adults and one child had an amazing experience on an organised e bike tour, by the hotel ,for a few hours.|Definitely recommend this amazing hotel.

I came her with my family and we had a wonderful experience. The food was great and so was are waitress. The water park was really fun too and the pools were amazing, especially the sport pool outside. It had amazing views and the water was very nice. Also, all of my photos are of the hike I took near the hotel. It is called Saukarlm and the views are stunning and well earned.
