Das Graseck

Das Graseck is located in a unique spot, in between the mountains and right next to |the beautiful Partnach Gorge.|Taking a cable car to and from the hotel enhances the experience|of a private hideout.|The Room with a Varanda was perfect, large, with modern facilities and |a beautiful view. |We enjoyed the daily special dinner, the pool on the second floor with a breathtaking view, but especially the service, besides being polite on every coaction of interaction with the staff, twice we got what I would define as exceptional service,|that elevated beyond my expectations. |I am not going to mention exactly what they were, but they were in the Restaurant|, morning and evening on separate occasions, and evolved at least four staff members.||In conclusion, I chose this hotel over 2 other hotels near Garmisch-Partenkirchen,|because of its uniqueness, although being mor expensive. |It was worth every penny. |It left us with an unforgettable memory.

Excellent staff who were always courteous and helpful; excellent dining in a lovely dining room amidst a serene alpine setting. Rooms had gorgeous views although ours had none which was disappointing. Spa with pools and saunas was very European. We did not partake in the medical wellness center but it’s something to consider. The brief gondola ride was smooth and easy to operate. Very peaceful and beautiful holiday!

Incredible and unique setting, which unfolds upon arrival as you take the cable car from the valley below, above the Aqua-blue alpine river, across the treetops and then finally you see the hotel nestled in the trees at the edge of an alpine meadow plateau. It’s a unique location, being a modern hotel amongst classic alpine barns and farmhouses, with the soothing background sound of cowbells chiming in from the hills. Our room had a massive terrace with views to the big peaks to the south, and a massive walk in shower we which found every excuse to use! The rooftop infinity pool at the level of the treetops was like nothing I’ve experienced before. Hotel staff were all incredibly warm and helpful, both at the restaurant which serves up fantastic food, and at reception, where they helped me pick out a hiking route up to Kreujberg, and booked me a taxi back to the train station upon departure. If you want a hotel where every room including your bedroom feels like a spa, fresh mountain air, seclusion and panoramic views then this is a go to hotel. In mid October the colours of the forest were amazing too.

Amazing getaway up in the mountains! The scenery was absolutely stunning. Hotel was very clean and comfortable with lovely views. Restaurant food was very high quality and the staff were impeccable. Had amazing massages and a dip in the rooftop pool. Wonderful all round and would love to come back!

Amazing experience staying and dining at Das Graseck! Fantastic amenities and easy access to many different walking routes/loops. The breakfast buffet was delicious with many options. Highly recommend the half board option to include tasty and beautifully plated 5 course dinners. Martin at the front desk is an incredible resource to help plan your activities during the stay. Highly recommend!

Beautifully decorated hotel in a postcard setting! The 4 course dinner was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the hikes (particularly the gorge!) and appreciated relaxing by the pool late afternoon/evening. |Pre-arrival info is very detailed although, arriving by car, we had a little trouble finding the hotel's carpark at the bottom of their gondola, as there aren't many vehicles driving up after the Olympic stadium but numerous groups of pedestrians in both directions.

Nice stay, great spa and stunning setting. However the evening meal quality was poor and the bathroom arrangement in the rooms is just strange. There's no seperation between the bed and bathroom, and only a glass door seperating you from the sound and vision of that zone. It's a strange design choice. It's like what i would imagine it would be like to share a prison cell. As you'll see from the hotel's comments below, there's a level of aggression from the staff that's caused me to downgrade my original review. I paid around 300 pounds for a room and I'm not sure that should mean I'm entitled to the hostility (below) or indeed has any baring on the door arrangements in the room'd bathroom. Perhaps the hotel should market bathroom doors as a paid extra?

The hotel is nothing too special, but nothing bad either. But the price tag that comes along with it, is way too high. The breakfast is nice, the dinners are okay. The restaurant staff is sometimes a bit too talkative for my taste, but others might like it. The saunas are too small and not open early enough. The room was okay but nothing special either, the cable car was in our case rather a reason not to go as we both are not the biggest fans of cable cars + it limits strolling through the city as you need to get down from the hill and then still need the car to get into the city. The treatments are good though. We had an issue but the hotel was flexible enough to solve it after we raised it. Overall too pricey for too little effort and quality and experience.

Holistic experience at Das Graseck is unforgettable. Service, location, activities and food are all wonderfully integrated into a great experience. Rooms are clean and the views out to the Alps are stunning. The ease in which ground paths link up with public access makes navigation effortless. Diner each night here was a nice and relaxing experience. Can't recommend this establishment enough if able.
