Das Hotel Ostseeblick

This place literally stole my heart. An epitome of the saying “World tells you to speed up, while art always wants you to slow down”. There is some of the most wonderful energy flowing through this property and for us it all started at the reception where we were greeted by the host, Andrea, genuine and kindest of spirits. She took us up to the rooms and personally introduced the premises which is rare feat nowadays. It just tells you that people running this place really care about the guests. No racing, no unnecessary paperwork fills at the concierge, no fast forwards, no treating people like a flybys, even if it’s a one night stay. Owners set the highest standards of hospitality, this is really how it should be done. Everything from the practical standpoint was spot on here, the kitchenette, pool, flawless decor, firm mattress. If you’re in the area and looking for an overnighter or longer stay, don’t hesitate. It’ll be unforgettable, mark my words. Thank you Andrea and Kevin for having us, it was a delight.

The staff is incredibly friendly and always there to assist you. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, especially when enjoyed in such a beautiful setting with an amazing view. 😃 From arrival to departure, I felt very comfortable. The hotel is decorated with great attention to detail and even has an indoor pool, which is accessible throughout the day. Towels and bathrobes are provided free of charge. My room felt like a small apartment: a compact bathroom, a bedroom with a very comfortable box-spring bed and a wardrobe, a small kitchenette with a fridge and dishes, as well as a table with three chairs. The breakfast was outstanding, offering a wide variety of bread and rolls, cold cuts, cheeses, muesli, and fresh fruits. I stayed here during a business trip and had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this hotel!

I was passing through with my 10-year-old son, when we impulsively decided to spend the night here. It was a very positive experience. The service is personal and warm, you feel expected and welcome. The hotel has a good atmosphere with exciting details. Adjacent park facilities with hiking trails and a playground for the children. The breakfast was impeccable. We will be happy to return on another occasion.

A great base for touring the Holstein area, and only a short bus ride from the beach at Hohwacht, but the hotel itself, and attractive town centre of Lutjenburg a few minutes walk away, are a pleasure to spend time in. Based around the late 19th C observation tower, the main buildings are 1970s but with a contemporary design flair. It was a wise choice to retain the original kitchenette in the room - it manages to look very retro-stylish. We enjoyed (our first) vegan dinner in the restaurant, good value for the quality and innovation. What really stood out though, apart from the excellent breakfast, was the superb, friendly service throughout, particularly at breakfast, where no request seemed too much trouble.

One of my favorite places in Northern Germany. Great room with private balcony, great breakfast, good price. Little bit of the charts when doing business in Kiel or hamburg, but drive is worth it
