Das Kaltenbach - Apart Hotel

Our family had a fantastic holiday at the hotel. Every detail had been thoughtfully planned in advance, and our stay was effortless and relaxing. The facilities were excellent, and the service was outstanding. This hotel is perfect for a family looking to enjoy an active holiday, while still wanting a touch of luxury. Highly recommended!

We just returned from an incredible week-long stay at this hotel, and before we get caught up in daily life again, I wanted to share our experience. From the moment we arrived, greeted by a warm and welcoming receptionist, to our final night when we received a thoughtfully packed food bag for our early morning flight, we felt truly looked after—almost like part of the family. Everything about this hotel was exceptional. Our room was spacious and spotless, with beds made up daily. The homemade breakfasts, complete with freshly squeezed orange juice, were a perfect start to each morning. The spa was a haven of relaxation, and the massage we had? Absolutely unforgettable. We also made great use of the gym, and the incredibly kind receptionist even went the extra mile to heat the yoga building before my solo session. From start to finish, this stay was nothing short of perfect. We left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and already looking forward to our next visit.

Great hotel, superb wellness and pool, spacious well equiped apartment, fantastic playground for the children in beautiful forest. Our stay could not have been better! Thank you a lot for a wonderful week :)

Excellent modern apartment, right at the gondola, with all the conveniences for a great family skiing trip. Franz-Joseph made sure we had fresh rolls for breakfast and that our stay was as pleasant as possible. The apartment is well equipped even with Alexa! Besides skiing we hiked, went swimming and to the nearby indoor activity center for the bowling equivalent “Kegeln”

We booked a comfort room with a supposed Zillertal view, but we were assigned room 106, located in the furthest corner of the building. Instead of the expected view, the room overlooks a mountain slope and sits directly above a noisy heating unit, with constant noise inside the room. When we addressed this with reception, their only response was that it’s unfortunate, but they are fully booked and unable to offer a room change. This is our second visit, and we were looking forward to a relaxing room similar to our last stay. Despite booking well in advance, it seems we were assigned one of the least attractive rooms in the hotel. That said, the hotel’s facilities are fantastic for families, and the ski lockers are very convenient.

Beautiful hotel in scenic valley. Das Kaltenbach has everything you could want for a relaxing stay. The apartment we had was perfect for our needs with a large balcony. The freshly cooked breakfast with wonderful pastries and a wide variety of other food was the best we’ve ever had in a hotel. The staff were friendly, helpful and discreet. The Sky spa was amazing with indoor and outdoor pool and a fabulous relaxation garden. We cannot wait to go back!

We were a family of four for 8 days vacation, excellent rooms, big and well equipped and the hotel offers great facilities and 4 types of saunas and great video game rooms for the kids. Swimming pool had access to outdoor area which we all enjoyed. Breakfast was average not inline with the price per day. As there is no dinner, you will need to book restaurants in advanced in the area and travel by car. Location is simply great, not far from the slopes and the locker room is next to the elevator which makes things easy. We had a great time and highly recommend the place.

We just got home from a week in the snow at Das Kaltenbach and can’t be happier with this hotel. They thought of everything, a free shuttle bus to the skilift several times a day, towels at the pool, a superb sauna landscape, very friendly service and wonderful breakfast. ||We stayed in a “classic” apartment which was very spacious, close to the pool area and serviced daily with new toilet paper, trash cans were emptied and towels were changed when asked. ||The birthday cake I ordered for my husbands big day was delicious and he even got a nice attention from Stephan and his team, what a treat!||We already booked our next stay!
