I really wanted to give this hotel 5 stars. They have excellent customer service. I found them extremely friendly and accommodating. The food in the restaurant was quite good and my room was nice. I liked the location too which is on a relatively quiet street outside of the city center.
BUT...I found their wireless Internet to be frustratingly slow and, at times, barely useable. I'm not talking about downloading movies! I'm talking about accessing websites like Airbnb or VRBO--both of which I had trouble loading. I finally did access the sites after a lot of frustration but it took me a couple of hours for something which would have taken a half an hour with decent broadband. Also, I have four devices that access the Net--an iPad, a Kindle and 2 iPhones (the older one is unlocked so I can use SIM cards in Europe). In order to get online, I needed different passwords for each device which I had to go to the front desk to get. These would time out periodically, forcing me to enter them again. At first, I didn't keep track of which device used which password. They kindly issued new passwords and then I started keeping track.
Suffice it to say that if fast and reliable Internet is something you need, this is NOT the place for you. Especially if you need to upload anything! The download speed was a little over 1 Megabit but the upload speed was a minuscule 0.05 Megabits! Forget about uploading your photos to the cloud (as I was hoping to do).
If the Internet is not important to you I encourage to check this place out. Apart from my frustrations online, I really enjoyed my stay! Check out their "half board" option for dinner. You can get a great 3 course meal for less than $20!
